The Mansion House of Kirkhill is gorgeous, older venue nesstled away in the countryside of Gorebridge, away from the busy city centre of Edinburgh, allowing couples to celebrate their wedding in tranquility and undesturbed joy. With 22 acres of grounds, it’s ideal venue for any wedding of any size, from an intimate celebration inside the mansion (up to 65 guests) to 180 evening guests with a marquee.

We opperate on a 'Blank Canvas' approach to our weddings - we will do and provide the essentials to a high quality standard, allowing you to make the day look and feel exactly how you want it to, and be unique to you as a couple.We do not believe in limiting your creative vision, so whatever is fun to you, is fun to us!

Facilities

We are happy to do single day events, or exclusive hire of the Mansion for the weekend, which sleeps 34 guests. We have three main ceremony locations within our venue:

Grand Hall: A beautiful, rustic ballroom, luring in rays of sunshine through its tall windows. With its original wooden funiture, the Grand Hall is perfect for walking down the aisle for a bride charmed by the historical theme.

Kirkhill Gardens: If looking for a peaceful, natural setting, then look no further than the Kirkhill Garden. Looking out on to the Pentlands, the Garden really allows each couple to soak in the serenity of the location and bask in floral beauty.

Marquee: The Mansion House at Kirkhill benefits from having a grand Marquee just two steps from the house. So whether you want to host your meal or have a boogie, the Marquee is there and allows you to extend the celebration outside, not worried about the sometime unpredictable Scottish weather!

We at The Mansion House at Kirkhill do not think that booking a venue should include worry or confusion regarding extra charges popping up out of no where. Thus, we stick to a 'no-hidden cost' process where we discuss the packages and all that goes in to it from the beggining, and any amendments or costs are discussed with you prior, ensuring the lead up to your special day is as stress-free as possible.
