With over 12 years of experience as a wedding hair and makeup artist, Catherine founded A Finishing Touch to create naturally beautiful looks that instil confidence within her clients.

An initial consultation with the team will allow you to discuss your visions and ideas for your event and can be followed up by a makeup and hair design appointment. The team uses the most exclusive products available and will work to source products for any specific needs or allergies. The philosophy at this company involves adding a calming touch combined with high-end products for an experience that will leave you looking and feeling your very best.
In addition to our primary service we also provide you with bespoke wedding morning timings to ensure everything runs like clockwork and none of your party feel rushed or overwhelmed. Using our extensive experience we fully understand all of the elements which go into a wedding morning; those moments where your flowers arrive at your room and your photographer is around need to be taken in so we always factor in the time for you to do so! I know it seems a little trivial, 2 or 3 minutes here and there, but it all counts when you've got to be heading down the aisle!

Natural, elevated, and flawless — Catherine is amazing!
Catherine was so friendly and put me completely at ease on the morning. My hair and makeup lasted all day and photographed beautifully. She even worked her magic on a few pesky mosquito bites and no one noticed a thing! I received so many lovely comments from guests about how fresh and glowing everything looked.

Catherine was wonderful throughout everything. She made me feel safe, respected, comfortable and like the very best version of myself. Her skills are unmatched and she is exactly who you want on your team on your big day. Her warmth and kindness not just to me, but to our little one, means so much and her help on the morning of the wedding with little things like shoes and perfume were invaluable. I am so grateful for Catherine and feel very lucky to have had her as a part of our special day. My hair and make up were both perfect and I felt so special.

Perfect choice in every possible way
In our initial appointment, I showed Catherine a handful of photos and I was amazed at how beautifully she captured exactly what I wanted and brought it to life. We did a couple of different hairstyles as I wasn't 100% sure which I'd prefer; she gave her opinion which I ran with and it was absolutely the right call. I felt like a princess on the big day.
Catherine is so easy to connect with, plus the pride she takes in her business shines through. It makes you feel so relaxed because you know she genuinely has your best interests at heart.
On the day itself, Catherine brought the most calming energy which was exactly what I needed. Her & her team were absolutely brilliant! The way they captured each of my bridal party's natural essence & beauty and enhanced it was so lovely to see. The morning flowed so perfectly with everyone chatting away. A team full of professionals who I wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

Exceptional makeup and service
Catherine was calming, made me feel at ease and of course utterly GORGEOUS on the day
Only reason for value for money being less stars was that the price was quite high in comparison to other quotes I received and my curls did drop quite a bit on the day. I was still happy with the look though, as they looked beach style curls but different from the initial style.
