With over 12 years of experience as a wedding hair and makeup artist, Catherine founded A Finishing Touch to create naturally beautiful looks that instil confidence within her clients.

An initial consultation with the team will allow you to discuss your visions and ideas for your event and can be followed up by a makeup and hair design appointment. The team uses the most exclusive products available and will work to source products for any specific needs or allergies. The philosophy at this company involves adding a calming touch combined with high-end products for an experience that will leave you looking and feeling your very best.
In addition to our primary service we also provide you with bespoke wedding morning timings to ensure everything runs like clockwork and none of your party feel rushed or overwhelmed. Using our extensive experience we fully understand all of the elements which go into a wedding morning; those moments where your flowers arrive at your room and your photographer is around need to be taken in so we always factor in the time for you to do so! I know it seems a little trivial, 2 or 3 minutes here and there, but it all counts when you've got to be heading down the aisle!

Exceptional makeup and service
Catherine was calming, made me feel at ease and of course utterly GORGEOUS on the day
Only reason for value for money being less stars was that the price was quite high in comparison to other quotes I received and my curls did drop quite a bit on the day. I was still happy with the look though, as they looked beach style curls but different from the initial style.

Cody and Catherine were amazing on my wedding day and made all of us look and feel beautiful! Catherine is amazing at hair and makeup and I had so many compliments throughout the day. She listened to me and really made me look beautiful! She brought a sense of peace throughout and was so helpful, responsive and accommodating in the lead up to my wedding. Very grateful for her! Highly recommend!
Fantastic experience
From the first call, design appointment and emails in between, Catherine was quick to respond and help with any queries in the lead up to the day and I found the on the day timings super helpful!
Fast forward to the big day and Catherine and Rebecca were looking after myself, MOB and bridesmaids. Everyone loved their hair and make up and the team made us feel very at ease and calm on a very hot day! My daughter was over the moon with her hair too!

In terms of my own wedding, Catherine was responsive and reassuring in the booking process. I would really recommend a trial as this helped worked out what I did and didn’t want and Catherine was the right balance of receptive to ideas and also giving advice.
On the day, Catherine and Cody helped create a lovely and calm atmosphere, exactly as I had experienced when I had bridesmaid hair and makeup from the team. I felt really special as the bride and was over the moon with my results. My hair and makeup were amazing. I felt incredible but still like myself, and it lasted all day. I’m seriously amazed how well my hair lasted, even with my rather ‘lively’ dance moves but it did!

From the initial conversations, to the design appointment, to the morning of, you were just so reassuring, so calm and so amazing. Me and my mum were a bit nervous as we had never done anything like this, but Catherine was very reassuring and responsive along the way.
