About

Haywards Events is a barn conversion venue in Epping, Essex.

Haywards was established as a fine dining restaurant in 2013 by Amanda and Jahdre Hayward. In 2019, they were awarded 3 AA Rosettes and, over 10 years, have built a fantastic reputation for their excellent menus, creative, seasonal dishes, and providing service of the highest quality. Now, Haywards is focusing on offering bespoke events and weddings.

Facilities and Capacity

Located on the outskirts of the charming market town of Epping and at the very edge of the historic Epping Forest, Haywards is the perfect setting to host your dream wedding.

Haywards dining room can cater for up to 50 guests for a sit-down meal. In addition, we can cater for 80 guests for more informal dining and dancing.

Alternatively, the Stable Room is a private dining area for up to 14 guests, perfect for a small, intimate wedding.

Services Offered

We offer tailor-made wedding packages with bespoke menus to suit you.

We have a variety of menu options available, including, but not limited to, tasting menus and canapés. Decorate the space to your liking; we can recommend renowned suppliers for balloons, flowers, and cakes.

We also offer an on-site one-bedroom apartment.

Ellie & Tom’s wedding at Hayward’s

We had an absolutely incredible experience at Haywards, from start to finish. From our first meeting with Amanda, where we discussed our initial ideas, right through to the big day itself, the service was exceptional.
Amanda was fantastic throughout and gave us a huge amount of flexibility in how we wanted the day to run. She was incredibly accommodating and made the whole process feel relaxed and straightforward, which made a big difference in allowing us to enjoy the experience.
The food was excellent, and our guests were extremely impressed, with lots of comments about both the quality and how much they enjoyed it. The venue itself was perfect for us. We had around 70 guests, and the space created a wonderful atmosphere which was both elegant and special, but still with a great party feel as the evening went on.
We really couldn't have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend Haywards to anyone looking for a venue. I'm sure that whatever the occasion, Amanda will do everything she can to accommodate your needs and, importantly, help you create the kind of day you actually want.

Fantastic wedding at Hayward

We had a fabulous wedding celebration at Haywards. From our first meeting with Amanda, she planned everything to perfection and made the whole process so smooth. She accommodated dietary requirements and made a tailored menu for us to meet those needs. We bought our own decorations for the table and Amanda took care of everything and made the place look lovely.

The food was incredible with my mother in law quoting it was the best meal she has ever had. The whole team made us feel so special on the day and the service was amazing. Everything was taken care of so we didn't have any stress on the day.

Would highly recommend haywards for any wedding celebrations.

Couldn’t recommend more!

Amanda and the team at Hayward’s were absolutely fantastic! So attentive, so helpful - they couldn’t do more for us on our wedding day.

The food was also incredible and they went above and beyond to cater for people with dietary requirements or allergies.

We had approx 55-60 people, so if you’re looking for an intimate reception venue then Hayward’s is ideal. We had loads of room to dance but the room was still atmospheric. They also have a separate private dining room which was perfect for the kids or a games room.

Amanda also took a lot of stress away from us by liaising with some of the vendors about arrival times or pick up / drop off of equipment. It really helped us in the run up to the day.

Amanda and Jahdre are incredible hosts!

I had the absolute pleasure of attending a dining event at Haywards, it was one of the most memorable food experiences I have ever had. Every course was simply outstanding - beautifully presented, full of flavour and thoughtfully crafted.

Amanda, front of house, was incredible. She was warm, attentive and guided us through each course with such ease and knowledge. The wine pairings were perfect, complementing each dish beautifully, and Amanda’s care and professionalism made us feel completely looked after. From start to finish, we felt truly wined and dined.

Although I haven't yet attended a wedding at Haywards, I can only imagine how magical it must be. If the standard of Jahdre’s food and Amanda’s flawless service is anything to go by, couples choosing Haywards for their big day will be in the very best hands.

Haywards really is a gem, whether for an incredible event, meal or as a wedding venue, it offers something truly special. I feel very lucky to have experienced it and would wholeheartedly recommend it.

Amazing day!!!

I was a guest at a wedding here, it was honestly one of the best weddings I have been too. Food amazing drinks amazing the venue was stunning, such a fun day!
