We had a terrific experience with the wedding team at the Strathaven Hotel. From our first contact we felt very comfortable discussing our plans. We had scheduled meetings leading up to our special day to ensure nothing had been forgotten. We used suppliers recommended by the staff including a local florist and piper who were excellent. Many of our guests commented on the quality of our wedding breafast. The hotel exterior and gardens provided a perfect backdrop for our photographs. Many thanks to Morgan, Gillian and Jen for making our wedding day dream come true. Best wishes Douglas & Eileen

The most perfect wedding day at One Devonshire Gardens My husband and I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone at One Devonshire Gardens for giving us the most incredible wedding day we could have ever imagined. From the very first viewing of the townhouse, through the entire planning process, and on the big day itself – the service, attention to detail, and genuine care from the team were absolutely outstanding. Special thanks to Stacy and Paige, who are truly exceptional at what they do. They guided us every step of the way, helped bring our vision to life, and ensured every detail was flawless. We always felt supported, listened to, and genuinely cared for. The food was nothing short of divine – our guests are still raving about it! A huge shoutout to Nick, our Master of Ceremonies, who was simply amazing. He was fantastic with all of our guests and made sure the day ran seamlessly from start to finish. We’d also love to thank Charlie and Niven, who looked after everyone so attentively during the reception – friendly, professional, and a real credit to the venue. The venue itself is breathtaking – elegant, intimate, and filled with warmth and charm. The rooms were stunning, and the atmosphere was everything we dreamed of. One Devonshire Gardens truly delivered a day we will never forget. What made it so special were the people – the team who went above and beyond to make us feel so well looked after. Excellent but the hotel needs updating as windows could not open and the air conditioning is a hit and a miss But all great

Just had our wedding in the hotel and it was amazing from start to finish. We were so looked after by Tony, Robyn and Karen and all staff. The food was terrific as was Steven our DJ. Everyone had the most wonderful day and night and would recommend it to anyone - wish we could do it all again. Many thanks from the new Mr & Mrs O’Donnell.

We were married at the Clayton Hotel in February last year and it couldn’t have been better! From the initial viewing through to the day itself, the staff could not do enough for us to ensure our day ran smoothly. We were having a small intimate ceremony and wedding breakfast with a singer to entertain our family while we were having photos taken, then a larger evening reception and being able to have each section of the day across multiple spaces made the day run so seamlessly. Kate was amazing from start to finish and really made us feel like our day was as important to her as it was to us. She accommodated all of our ideas and offered a few fantastic suggestions of her own which helped make our day so special. Our guests were blown away with the venue, food and staff – from the cleaning staff, bar staff, waiting staff, reception staff and the event team, every single person we and our guests encountered was so friendly and helpful. My husband and I returned to the hotel for a meal to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and it was so emotional being back and remembering how wonderful our day was! We also had the opportunity to meet the lovely Cynthia, who is currently standing in for Kate. This venue is an absolute gem in the heart of the city with gorgeous views over the river and the team are fantastic. I couldn’t recommend the Clayton highly enough and recommend you go and see the event spaces and meet the team if you are considering a city centre venue – you will not be disappointed!

We had a lovely wedding. Staff were professional, reliable and friendly in every aspect. Accommodated our wishes beautifully. Made for a stress-free wedding. Lots of personal touches. They even recognised and remembered us a year later! And the location takes your breath away every single time you go there. Even on a cold grey January afternoon!

On April 20th 2007 we celebrated our wedding in the Glasgow Marriott. This venue has recently been refurbished and we were the first wedding to experience the pluch new surroundings and luxury fittings. Sian Cresswell was our hotel contact and she ensured we had maximun input with minimum effort. Patrick, was the mc for the evening and ensured everthing went to plan and the event ran smoothly. Executive chef Stewart Jarvie provided all the guests with a memorable 5 star meal. The Marriott ensured that our wedding day was left for us to enjoy and not worry about the practicalities of such a huge event.

Where do we start! Our wedding day was flawless from start to finish. Everyone at the Garfield works so hard to make sure the day runs smoothly. Louize – We can’t thank you enough for making sure everything that we had asked for happened on our day, The number of e-mails back and forward was always answered, and nothing was ever too much, your time and experience is so valuable to couples who are getting married. I don’t know how you do it keeping up with all the different couples and organising all the fine details I was glad to have that part over with, but you thrive with co-ordinating all the different parts of a wedding ceremony and reception to make it special and personal to the couple. Glen – Thank you for co-ordinating our whole day from making sure the ceremony went smoothly right up until the last song. You were always available to help. You went above and beyond on our day. The canapes were delicious and there were loads of trays, the drinks were flowing and you even helped one of the bridesmaids who managed to get a small stain on their dress. The meal was delicious all our guests thought they were treated like royalty and was such a lovely atmosphere too. Peter especially would like to thank you for being the coolest man in the hotel and you would just pop up randomly by his side asking if everything was ok, do you need anything, and then vanish just as quick and away to help someone else. Thank you to Junior for being there to make sure we were happy with the set up for the reception, and making sure all our guests that stayed over had enjoyed their stay before they left to go home. Lisa – Thank you so much for Friday night, making sure the room looked beautiful, and we could use our own playlist for during the meal, I think the kids enjoyed that a bit much! All the staff on the Friday night were attentive and everyone enjoyed their meal. Then Saturday you were there again to make sure everything looked beautiful, and we were happy. Also, on the Sunday just chatting away, I can tell how much you love working at the Garfield. The Bar staff on the Sunday were so kind mentioning about how great the wedding went and how much they loved the DJ (the dancefloor was never empty) Thank you to Oonagh and Angie for sorting out all our rooms and making sure Peters parents’ room was what we asked for as they struggle to walk very far, you took the time to listen and everyone loved their room. The wedding package that they offer is really good. The cake, the piper, all the little extras. Honestly, the amount of praise from all our guests is fantastic and it was the best day because of all your dedication and hard work.

The Eglinton Arms, where to begin… From the initial show around to leaving the hotel after the wedding it was an absolute dream. When we first booked to have a look around we weren’t sure what to think, living only 10mins up the road we had driven past it numerous times so thought we would just have a look. We are glad we did! Louize, an absolute angel, literally couldn’t have asked for anyone better to help plan our day. You can tell she really cares about her couples and ensuring they have the best possible day. Nothing was too much hassle, no question was too silly and the vast amount of emails from myself always went answered. Honestly, the best person to have in your corner to help plan your day. The day itself was an absolute dream. We were lucky enough that we were able to have our drinks reception outside and it went down a treat. The food was fabulous, everyone commented how amazing it was and the clear plates definitely reflected that. The space itself was perfect and was something that we didn’t feel needed adding to in terms of decoration, a couple of chair bows and table runners and it was our vision of perfection. Now to the main man on the day himself, Adrian. He introduced himself to me the night before and I knew instantly we were going to be in safe hands that day! Again nothing was too much hassle and he ensured that everything went how it should. I think everyone needs an Adrian on their day. Our wedding, was a dream. Put together a bunch of Scots, Geordies and ALOT of whiskey and we had a spectacular day, but it wouldn’t have been the half of that if it hadn’t of been for everyone at The Eglinton Arms.
