We had the most amazing day with all of our family and friends. The venue itself was great for the different parts of the day (ceremony, meal and evening reception) and we had some flexibility in the areas we could use. The food was really good, everything from the canapes, to the meal and the evening buffet tasted delicious. In terms of value, what was included in the package in the package price was the best that we had seen from most city centre venues, and it was all of really high quality.

From the very beginning, the team at Clayton were so supportive in helping us plan the day, even though we had a slightly different day from a usual wedding. On the day, everything went smoothly and the team were on hand to keep us in the right place at the right time and make sure everyone was enjoying the day. Nothing was too much on the day and we can't thank them enough. The whole team made the experience as stress free as possible. A special thank you to Kate who helped us plan the day from the very start and who was there on the day to make sure we had everyhing we needed. The communication throughout the whole planning process was great. Also to the chef who helped us plan the meal that we wanted and cooked up a storm on the day. And finally to the staff on the day like Sara, Leoni, David, Emma and all the bar staff and wait staff who were so professional and went above and beyond to ensure we could relax and enjoy our day and that our guests had a great time.

We had the most incredible wedding breakfast and evening celebration at the Clayton Hotel. Kate and the team went above and beyond to make our day perfect. From start to finish, Kate guided us through every option, ensuring everything was just as we imagined. She fulfilled every requirement we requested. We had the opportunity to attend a menu tasting before our wedding day, which was a wonderful added touch. Kate stayed in touch throughout the lead up to the wedding, ensuring everything ran smoothly and stress free for us as the big day approached.

Upon arrival, we were made to feel so welcome at the hotel, and the thoughtful added touches were greatly appreciated. We were also fortunate to set up the ballroom the day before our wedding, which allowed us to feel relaxed and stress free on the morning of the big day.

Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how seamlessly the day ran, the friendliness of all the staff and the outstanding quality of the food.

I would highly recommend considering this venue for your wedding. Thank you for making our day truly special.

A special mention for the hotel manager on the day and the chef who was unbelievably helpful from early on and bent over backwards to assist guests with food allergies. The food was raved about by everyone.

We were married at the Clayton Hotel in February last year and it couldn’t have been better!

From the initial viewing through to the day itself, the staff could not do enough for us to ensure our day ran smoothly. We were having a small intimate ceremony and wedding breakfast with a singer to entertain our family while we were having photos taken, then a larger evening reception and being able to have each section of the day across multiple spaces made the day run so seamlessly.

Kate was amazing from start to finish and really made us feel like our day was as important to her as it was to us. She accommodated all of our ideas and offered a few fantastic suggestions of her own which helped make our day so special.

Our guests were blown away with the venue, food and staff – from the cleaning staff, bar staff, waiting staff, reception staff and the event team, every single person we and our guests encountered was so friendly and helpful.

My husband and I returned to the hotel for a meal to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and it was so emotional being back and remembering how wonderful our day was! We also had the opportunity to meet the lovely Cynthia, who is currently standing in for Kate.

This venue is an absolute gem in the heart of the city with gorgeous views over the river and the team are fantastic.

I couldn’t recommend the Clayton highly enough and recommend you go and see the event spaces and meet the team if you are considering a city centre venue – you will not be disappointed!
