Baines Hall is a wedding venue situated at Elland Community Sports Club in Elland, West Yorkshire, overlooking our gorgeous cricket field and into the valley. This space was opened by the Grand National legend Red Rum back in 1977. Our venue is welcoming all couples to celebrate their special day.

Fantastic Wedding Party Venue
We had a fantastic wedding party at Baines Hall in May 2026.
We booked the hall for a party to celebrate our recent wedding. Our booking was arranged with Kelly who was extremely helpful throughout. Before the event we were able to visit as many times as we wanted. Nothing was too much trouble. We had the flexibility of setting up from 12pm on the day of our event, staff let us in and let us rearrange things how we wanted. We were able to leave things overnight and collect the day after. This made everything stress free and really chilled.
We paid a flat fee to hire the hall and secure the booking which was very reasonable, plus cost per head for food which was needed 6 weeks before. Staff were very flexible with timings for our event. We were not required to cater food for the exact number of people attending, unlike some other venues we looked at. Kelly advised us on the food that seemed to be most well received at their parties, she also advised on a realistic number of people that we should cater for. On the night we weren't left with lots of wasted food so she was spot on. We had lots of lovely comments about the buffet and it was beautifully presented. Guests with dietary requirements were offered their own plated food to ensure they were catered for.
The hall is beautifully presented so we did not feel that we needed to decorate the room. We stuck with usual chairs (no covers but these were available to us at an extra cost) and black table cloths which were no extra charge and looked great. We were able to arrange our own DJ to come, though there was someone that they could recommend to us if needed. There was a decorated wall where we could set up our photobooth - it was a perfect background for the pictures. The room comes with its own separate entrance to the cricket club. There was plenty of parking on site.
Lots of people at our party said they've been to events at Baines Hall before and always had a good time.
We can't recommend this venue enough. Thank you for everything and for helping to make our wedding party such a memorable evening.
