When we started planning our wedding, we knew one aspect that was the most important to us: having our pup Rosa there. Through our venue, we were recommended Here Comes the Hound and we couldn’t recommend them highly enough! From the beginning, they were very responsive, knew which questions to ask and what any pet owner would want to be aware of ahead of the big day. We met up with Claire a few weeks before the wedding to ensure Rosa was familiar with her, which immediately worked so well! Claire and her dog Opie are both lovely and Rosa had the best time staying over for two nights. Rosa had the best time and was very well looked after. Claire also took such great care of Rosa on the day. Rosa is a very active dog but Claire knew exactly how to calm her down which meant Rosa was the perfect ring bearer and star of the show for our wedding pictures!

We used Here Come the Hounds to chaparone our two greyhounds for our wedding day, and also a sleepover on the wedding night. All I can say is - book them!!! From the first chat over the phone, through to the premeet and the day itself, Claire was incredible. We hadn’t ever left our dogs with anyone outside of family, but we immediately felt at ease and trusted Claire 100%. She was so good with the dogs and helped the day run smoothly, she’s so knowledgable and just the most lovely person. I couldn’t recommend this business enough!! Thank you so much for everything Claire.

Claire was so lovely to work with, so wonderful with our dog. She kept her from whimpering during our service (which she does when she can see us but not be with us!) and helped our photographer to get lovely shots of her which we will treasure forever! I truly felt like our dog was in very safe and caring hands with Claire. It was so nice to not have to worry about her as she stayed overnight with Claire. We received videos in the afternoon and in the morning of her playing with Claire’s beautiful dog. Highly recommend, reduced a lot of stress for us!

Personally we were a little apprehensive of letting someone we had never met look after our dog for our big wedding day. It was a big step for us given that our dog Blue can be a handle at the best of times for us.
He was going to carry the rings for our big day so we wanted the best in the business and honestly we couldn't of asked for more.
Initially we had a planned a meet with Lizzie for a brief catch up and to find out how involved they would be throughout the big day. We were a little worried as you would expect to begin with but at the meet both Blue and our little boy Rue literally jumped into the arms of Lizzie. At that point we knew we had picked well!
Jump forward to the big day and Blue went off for his walk with Lizzie before coming back and meeting up with myself (groom) and groomsmen. Under the supervision of Lizzie Blue was faultless and even refrained from jumping up at guests as they arrived something that is a must when you have a dog that malts as much as he does.
From the start of the day to the end Lizzie was not only attentive but her super energy levels made us and Blue feel at ease as well as getting the dog's interest for the photos using her amazing personality.
As the day came to a close Lizzie checked in with us both before saying her goodbyes and putting Blue in the coach-house for the evening.
Honestly we cannot thank you enough for your amazing services and will recommend you to all. 11/10 on all aspects and a true pleasure to work with on our big day!

Having our French Bulldog at our wedding was something I had loved the idea of but honestly did not think would be possible. From the very beginning when we met up with Lizzie for her to meet Archie and then again on our big day we could not have asked for more. Lizzie made our dreams of having Archie there come true and I’ll always treasure the memories! I would recommend here comes the hounds to anyone and everyone!!!

Claire looked after our little Peanut for our wedding day and then looked after him for the night/following morning. Peanut is a little bit of a handful who doesn't like other dogs but Claire was so accommodating of this. She had so much patience for him and for that we will be forever grateful. She read his cues wonderfully and took him away when he was getting overwhelmed. She was extremely attentive and made sure that he was with both the Bride and Groom to get those essential getting ready photos. Peanut loved Claire and we could tell he was well looked after with her. She understood what was asked of Peanut and her timings were perfect for letting our little boy run down the aisle with our rings. We couldn't recommend Claire and Here Comes the Hound enough for what they have done for us. We were so worried that our littlest family member would miss out on our day but with her help all of our family could be there. Thank you a million times over!!

Claire and Carly at Here Comes the Hound were absolutely fantastic. We had six dogs to look after and feed, which felt like a big ask, but they handled everything with ease, warmth, and real professionalism. Each of our dogs was given the attention and care they needed, and it was clear how much love they have for what they do. It gave us complete peace of mind knowing our pets were in such safe and capable hands. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, caring, and trustworthy dog care.

We very recently used Claires services to look after our fur baby Nelly on the day of our wedding. Being a wedding, all of our nearest and dearest would also be in attendance meaning we had no one to look after Nelly! Not only that, we wanted Nelly to be a part of our special day, and that’s how we found Here Comes The Hound!

The whole experience was a pleasure from start to finish. Claire is extremely friendly, helpful, caring and very professional at what she does.

We made initial enquiries through the website and Claire got in touch to ask what services we required and to give us a quote. We required a doggy chaperone for the day of our wedding and an overnight stay for Nelly. We had a follow up telephone conversation to discuss further details, and then arranged a meet up so that Claire could meet Nelly in an agreed relaxed location.

On the big day, Claire collected Nelly in the morning and took her for a nice walk. Claire then arrived at the venue with Nelly, dressed in her white bow collar as we had requested! Claire walked Nelly around the ground and greeted guests as well as having Nelly present for the ceremony itself and photo opportunities. Nelly certainly gave Claire the runaround the grounds with her boundless energy! As we and the other guests entered the hall for our wedding breakfast, Claire took Nelly home for a sleepover, and provided updates throughout the evening to let us know Nelly had settled and was okay.

We can't thank Claire enough for looking after our fur baby on our special day, for being her chaperone at the ceremony and taking her home for a sleepover.

We would certainly put our trust in Claire again, and we're sure Nelly would also be more than happy to see her again!

Here come the hounds are absolutely incredible!! We first met Lizzie and Claire at an open day at our wedding venue and at first we wasn’t to sure about a dog chaperone service but after meeting them both and having a discovery call to find out which package would best suit us, it was a no brainer to not book them!!
From the first interaction to the wedding day it’s been nothing but amazing. We had Lizzie look after our fur baby Bertie on our wedding day and when we had our meet a greet a week before the wedding I felt instantly at ease and comfortable that our dog will be well looked after.
Lizzie was so interested in our wedding day and really got to know Bertie and what his needs are, she listened to everything and gave us a clear idea of how things would run on the wedding day.
Come the wedding day, I have no words to describe how incredibly grateful and impressed we were with Lizzie she was an absolute superstar and looked after Bertie exceptionally well!! We had nothing but compliments from all our guests with how well she controlled Bertie and how warm and caring Lizzie was as a person. We have never seen Bertie so well behaved and Lizzie was on hand with all the treats and squeaking balls for all the photo opportunities. Lizzie was such a joy and Bertie loved her, we honestly can’t thank you enough for everything!
After the wedding myself and my husband both said that, that was the best money we have ever spent, getting a dog chaperone service for our Bertie, those memories and moments of having our doggy at our wedding and as our ring bearer is priceless and something we will treasure forever and it would of not been possible without here come the hounds especially Lizzie!!

Here comes the hound were brilliant right from the start. We started with a phone call and it was lovely to talk about how to include our dog in our wedding day whilst also making sure he wasn’t too overwhelmed and we didn’t have to worry about where he was going.

They were responsive to many questions and we had a wonderful visit before the wedding. On the day of the wedding, Claire took over Norman (our dog) from Sam (the groom) and she was AMAZING with him, he was perfect during the ceremony down to how she was with him- he is a strong, young Labrador who loves a kiss!

She took him back to the air BnB for a chill out and then back to the wedding after to see evening guests. He was so well looked after and it was so good for us to not have to worry about him being okay on the day as we knew he was in good hands.

She then stayed with Norman at the air BnB for a few hours waiting for us to finish up at our wedding and come back- this was until 1am so it was very appreciated!

A lot of our guests commented on how wonderful they were with him and we would recommended here comes the hound to anyone who needs someone to look after their dog on their wedding day and for them to be there!

Here comes the hound were such a wonderful addition to our day, and they helped to ensure that our senior pup Lennon could be at our wedding day. He was the star of the show, and was so well looked after, and he even enjoyed a sleepover. I couldnt have trusted anyone but them to have looked after Lennon, and they were so wonderful throughout the whole process. We really wanted our almost 4 year old Beagle Bella to be part of our special day. I didn’t want to look back at wedding pictures in years to come and think why do we not have any of her there with us! She can be a little mischievous and vocal so we opted for the memorable moments package so she could spend some time mingling during the chill time after the ceremony.
Lizzie was amazing with Bella! She came round for a meet up before the wedding and won her over straight away so I knew she would be fine with her on the day. Bella lapped up every bit of attention on the day and was actually very well behaved as I could see she was very happy and calm and content in lizzies company. I did not have to worry about Bella at all and it made our day that bit more special having her there and photos to treasure.

We couldn’t have dreamed of our dog Ruby being as amazing as she was on our wedding day, and that was all thanks to Claire. Right from our initial call and meet and greet through to the actual day and evening care, it was all amazing. Ruby brought our rings to us and Claire did a great job of letting her meet our guests before the ceremony and during the drinks reception. Just the best! Whole heartedly recommend!

We couldn’t have been happier with the service we received from Here Comes the Hound for our wedding. They took such amazing care of our dog, Delilah, both the night before and throughout the entire day of the wedding. It was a huge relief knowing she was in great hands, allowing us to focus on enjoying our special day.

Delilah got to be a big part of our celebration—she greeted guests at the ceremony and even walked down the aisle with our flower girls, which was such a memorable moment for us and our guests. During cocktail hour, she mingled with our friends and family, bringing smiles to everyone.

The best part was not having to worry about who was looking after her. Claire was fantastic—friendly, professional, and so easy to coordinate with for pick-up and drop-off. We felt completely at ease knowing Delilah was well cared for, and we’re so grateful for the peace of mind that brought us.

We were delighted to have Here Comes the Hound. Their service was exceptional and they couldn't have done more for us and it was great to know our dogs had just as good a day as us. Having them in the photos allowed us to keep the memories of them at our day forever. Would highly recommend.
