Victoria McGrath of InTheFrow’s Wedding: The Dresses, Hair, Makeup, Venue and More

Welcome to the world's most Instagrammable wedding...

The award for most fairytale wedding of 2019 has to go to Instagram sensation Victoria McGrath, better known as @InTheFrow.

Naturally, when your job involves having an envy-inducing Insta-feed, you’re guaranteed a ‘gram-worthy wedding. In the last weekend of August, InTheFrow – otherwise known as Victoria – tied the knot with her partner Alex Harrison in a stunning, influencer-studded three-day wedding in Provence, France.

The beauty and fashion influencer has nearly one million followers, all of whom were as obsessed with the #frowwedding as us. Luckily, she’s shared *all* the details.

From those five wedding outfits to her makeup secrets and who was invited, here is everything you need to know about the InTheFrow wedding!

Where Did InTheFrow Get Married?

YouTuber and author Victoria and her new-hubby married at the Château du Bijou in Provence. Surrounded by lavender fields, the beautiful chateau can hold 120 guests, has two swimming pools and offers 19 bedrooms plus a luxurious Bridal Suite to spend the night. Victoria’s brother Alex shared a cool drone picture of the venue ahead of it being set up for the wedding.

Victoria made full use of the amazing location, hosting her wedding breakfast outside on the terrace. Her extravagant cake cutting took place on a balcony of the villa, framed by flowers and with a literal spotlight on the happy couple (would you expect anything else?). You can check out her Instagram Story highlight for that unforgettable video.

Victoria posted a picture from the airport of the first of her stylish bridal wardrobe: a chic, white Gucci playlist – our new destination wedding must-have!

InTheFrow Wedding Dress: What Outfits Did She Wear?

So far Victoria has revealed five wedding outfits! We’re living for that extra-ness. Her wedding ceremony dress was a custom-made, skinny straps, Phillipa Lepley wedding dress with a folded neckline, corset bodice, long train and matching lace veil. Victoria accessorised with a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes, while her husband Alex looked dapper in a blue Ted Baker suit.

She revealed a hidden design in the veil on her Instagram: “Hand stitched lavender and rose floral embroidery and two tiny bees meeting in the middle of the veil to represent the city we came from. Over a silk-crepe couture wedding dress. This couldn’t have been more perfect.”

Her reception dress – also by Phillipa Lepley – was equally as impressive. “Couldn’t wait any longer to show you my evening dress. A full bodice of pearls and sparkles and a princess tulle sparkled skirt made for me by @phillipalepley. What wedding dreams are made of,” she wrote.

Victoria had teased the dress design process and fittings on @InTheFrow for the months before her wedding, but she’d sneakily kept that she was having two Phillipa Lepley dresses a complete secret.

Victoria and Alex had a whole range of outfits to wear throughout their wedding weekend.

Our favourite look was this sharp Pronovias suit which she wore for their black and white themed pre-wedding party.

Post-wedding, she wore a Suzanne Neville dress at their Sunday brunch the day after the wedding. “My fifth wedding outfit – the @suzanneneville Orwell dress, tailored to be ankle length around the back to show off my @sophiawebster Chiara heels. I cannot wait to wear this beauty again,” Victoria wrote.

It would be remiss of us not to mention the bridal swimming costume Victoria wore at the pre-wedding pool party too. Wait, you’re not having a pre-wedding pool party?

Who Did InTheFrow’s Wedding Hair?

Victoria had her bridal hair done by celebrity hairstylist Larry King. She spoke to Vogue magazine about her whole beauty prep and hair styling, and revealed how they came up with the different looks.

“The month before, Larry said that I should ‘definitely wear a long ponytail’ with my Pronovias tuxedo suit for the pre-wedding party. He had a 50cm hair piece toned into my white-grey hair colour, and we went for a volumised, pushed back ponytail with the hair piece clipped in. It fell just below my shoulders and I spent the whole night flicking it from right to left like Ariana Grande,” she said.

For the wedding day itself, she chose a relaxed knotted updo, before letting it down for the evening reception.

“Larry used Redken’s Fashion Works spray to help take separate sections of hair, wrapping them back, over and under each other down the back of my neck to form a beautiful pattern. The front was kept soft with two separate sections to frame my face, and Larry King’s A Social Life for your Hair cream and ‘Oh Baby” Flyaway bamboo hairbrush used to tame any fluffy strands. I kept my veil in my hair all evening as it was the perfect bridal hair style,” she said.

Larry used the Dyson Air Wrap to create “tight, grunge-y curls as an amazing contrast to the girly evening dress” for the reception, where guests danced in the rain until 4am.

Who Did InTheFrow’s Wedding Makeup?

Renowned makeup artist Nikki Wolff did Victoria’s makeup using all Armani Beauty products.

She told Vogue that her wedding day makeup was the only look of the five faces she wore she had actually trialled. The aim was a glammed-up bridal version of nude lips and bronze eyes, using Armani’s famous Luminous Silk primer and foundation and Power Fabric concealer as the base.

For her eyes, Nikki used Eyes to Kill Quattro Palette in Avant Premier, plus Eye Tint in Gold Ashes, and the Eye and Brow Maestro in Ambre for her brows.

Cheeks used Neo Nude Blush and Highlight, Maestro Liquid Summer Bronzer and finished with Luminous Silk Compact Powder. Her lip colour of choice was Rouge D’Armani Lipstick in 500.

Not only did Armani Beauty provide her bridal makeup, the couple also gave out Armani lipsticks for their wedding favours to female guests and had a makeup touch-up station with all Armani products in the bathrooms!

Finishing touches were an LVL curl from Noveau Lashes to curl her straight lashes, a French manicure with bridal lace patterned white tips from Dryby London and a spray tan from Vita Liberata.

Victoria complimented her wedding perfume with her venue’s scent. “I wore the light and rosy Dior Parfums Rose Gypsy, which matched our Maison Christian Dior Féve Dèlicieuse candles that scented the wedding,” she told Vogue.

Who Were InTheFrow’s Bridesmaids?

Just like that stylish tuxedo Victoria wore for the pre-wedding party, she dressed her bridesmaids in Pronovias. The seven maids wore pink tulle Pronovias dresses and Sophia Webster heels.

Victoria chose all close friends for bridal party, rather than any influencer friends she’s picked up along her Insta-journey. They included travel and lifestyle blogger Stephanie Taylor and her friend Charlie Parkes who married only a month before her. That’s an organised bridesmaid to plan your own wedding and help organise your friend’s too!

Who Were the Guests at InTheFrow’s Wedding?

There were some big name influencers at Victoria and Alex’s wedding, including Lydia Millen and her husband Ali Gordon. Lydia wore a Luisaviaroma dress and Louboutin sandals with the Bottega Veneta Cloud bag.

Also joining them was YouTube fitness guru Carly Rowena in a Reformation dress and & Other Stories shoes.

Tatler magazine contributing editor Amelia Liana showed off her beautiful magenta dress and gave us a sneak peek of that al fresco wedding dinner table while cuddling up to fellow influencer Suzi Bonaldi.
