We contacted Simon having decided to elope to The Lake District. What set him apart from other photographers, was his natural, timeless beautiful pictures without the use of added filters, effects. These can always be added later!

From point of first contact (at the enquiry stage) to our wedding day and beyond, his warm, friendly approach, timely response to emails no matter what question I asked, I knew that we had made the right choice in our photographer selection. He created a bespoke package for us as we had chartered a yacht after our wedding ceremony, added a videographer meaning that we have lasting memories of our special day.

Our ceremony was at 11:00. Not only did Simon and Sam arrive promptly, but we were greeted with a smile which instantly put us at ease. My husband and I are totally camera shy people, but having over 200 pictures of our day shows that we felt relaxed. Simon also knew our venue and the area inside and out, even giving our chauffeur tips on where to park near the marina. All little touches that took the ‘stress’ out of our day.

Simon was our photographer for our wedding and we could not have asked for any better. The process was seamless from start to finish. We found Simon on Hitched and instantly loved the natural style of photography and knew he’d be a perfect photographer for us. He replied to our enquiry very quickly and was very helpful answering all our questions. Closer to our big day Simon contacted us for a pre wedding meeting and photoshoot, it was very clear he knew exactly what he was doing and asked us questions which made our big day go perfectly to plan. Then he took some photos at our venue to help us ease into having our photo taken, this massively helped us on the day. At the wedding, Simon was flawless, he knew exactly what he was doing and where was best to be. He made us all feel so at ease in front of the camera and he had a perfect vision throughout the day, even checking a special weather app for breaks in the typical lakes weather so we got some beautiful photos in the sun. We spoke and met with Simon a few times before our wedding day, and from those interactions his passion for photography was very clear. Me and my now husband got married on the 26th March 24, a few days before the wedding Simon arranged a call with us asking is there was anything specific that we wants to get photographed through the time he was there which I thought was amazing, nice to have a plan in place. On the day he was punctual and was very kind and professional, he required no directing just got on with what we had agreed and made everything so easy, when it came to the ceremony and the after pictures he was amazing at getting candid pictures of everyone having a good time and got all the important parts as well as the more silly ones. When we went round the grounds he was happy to take suggestions of good shots and made everything so easy and fun!! So pleased we choose Simon to capture our intimate wedding held at the Cragwood Country House Hotel, what a magical day.

From the very beginning Simon was accommodating in every way. Simon listened carefully to our wishes and helped us in aspects of the big day that we were a little unsure about answering all of our questions quickly and professionally. His advice & guidance of course was spot on.

Regular contact was made at the intervals that was set out in our initial consultation and Simon was happy to help on the questions that ultimately arise when the planning was firmly in motion and full steam ahead.

Come the day, Simon immediately made us all feel at ease, friendly and caring he felt like part of the family fitting in perfectly and I'm not kidding!

Simons attention to detail is second to none and went above and beyond to capture the perfect pictures in an unobtrusive style, which we have to say was not easy given the typical Lake District weather in December, quite honestly nothing was a problem and we took it all in our stride with smiles and laughter for the whole day. Which sums up the day perfectly, smiles and laughter!

We chose to take an album from Simon, choosing 50 pictures, not an easy thing to do as all the pictures are fabulous. The style of this was a true likeness to how the day unfolded. Simon was able to send us a proof to check everything over, we made some amendments again not a problem at all and et voilà one wedding album produced & delivered seamlessly and best of all its beautiful.

We chose to take the additional option of a videographer; Sam to make sure that we would never forgot the ceremony, at the beginning you may think nope I don't want or need that but trust me the day goes by so quickly there will be parts that you forget. It was fabulous to watch the video on return from our honeymoon, again we sat and smiled throughout watching our ceremony all over again like a couple of kids! If you take this option its hassle free and so we'll worth the little extra. Simon will coordinate and arrange everything with Sam.

We are absolutely thrilled with our pictures from our January elopement wedding at Cragwood House in the Lake District. We chose Simon as his photos look timeless and he offered an elopement package.
