We had the best day at our wedding. Simon was a huge part of that - including settling our nerves before the big day! He was there for discussions and plans for rehearsals, we got some pre-wedding shots done which we love as well as a stunning set of photos from the day itself. He kept us to time, guided us without dictating, and came with back-up rainy day options for gorgeous photos too (always needed in the Lake District!) The photos and our special album are our very favourite keepsakes of the day. We both highly recommend Simon Hughes as anyone’s photographer. If we ever re-do our vows we’d choose him again :) -

Simon was our photographer for our wedding on 13/12/25 and we would recommend him to anyone. He was really good communicating with us up until the wedding day and offered us a pre-wedding photoshoot before the day which really helped us feel relaxed in front of the camera ahead of the day! We got comments from our guests throughout the day of how good and kind Simon was and he helped to create such a lovely relaxed atmosphere on the day! The photos we have received so far are stunning and we can’t wait to see the rest of the album when we receive them -

Wonderful photographer
If you want a photographer who listens to what you want whilst giving you ideas, who understands what you are trying to express and explain, who is a complete gentleman, who takes control without you feeling you’re being controlled, who delivers the day with a huge smile and making you laugh, who is patient and captures your whole day and night in stunning form…then just go ahead and book Simon!
We honestly could not have picked a better person to have been such an important part of our day, our photographs are truly beautiful and they truly capture the magic of our day. Simon knows a little spot down by Lake Windermere where he took us for some stunning portrait photographs, it was exciting and fun and Simon made us feel completely at ease and the results are beautiful.
Simon was in regular contact with us via email and we enjoyed a Zoom meeting to discuss our day which was really helpful as we live in Cambridgeshire. Simon arrived promptly on the wedding morning and he just blended into the day seamlessly.
Andy and I can not say Thankyou enough for our treasured photos.
We would strongly encourage anyone looking for a photographer to go ahead and book Simon, you will NOT be disappointed!

We contacted Simon having decided to elope to The Lake District. What set him apart from other photographers, was his natural, timeless beautiful pictures without the use of added filters, effects. These can always be added later!
From point of first contact (at the enquiry stage) to our wedding day and beyond, his warm, friendly approach, timely response to emails no matter what question I asked, I knew that we had made the right choice in our photographer selection. He created a bespoke package for us as we had chartered a yacht after our wedding ceremony, added a videographer meaning that we have lasting memories of our special day.
Our ceremony was at 11:00. Not only did Simon and Sam arrive promptly, but we were greeted with a smile which instantly put us at ease. My husband and I are totally camera shy people, but having over 200 pictures of our day shows that we felt relaxed. Simon also knew our venue and the area inside and out, even giving our chauffeur tips on where to park near the marina. All little touches that took the ‘stress’ out of our day.
Simon, a big heartfelt thank you. Your warm professional, unobtrusive style is second to none. You played a huge part in making our wedding day truly incredible.

Cannot recommend Simon enough
Simon is a fantastic photographer. He has produced some amazing photos that have captured our day. He was brilliant in meeting with us before and setting out what to expect and how we could get the best photos. He listened to what we wanted and really delivered. We cannot recommend him enough and if you are considering using Simon and want a photographer that listens, is well organised, is reliable and produces fantastic work then you’ve found the right one for you. -

Simon went above and beyond our expectations as a wedding photographer. He was a great addition to our day and made us feel relaxed so that the process was as fun as possible.
