I’m Dash, a professional wedding photographer based in County Durham, working across the North East, North Yorkshire, and throughout the UK. I regularly photograph weddings from Aberdeen to Sussex and am happy to travel wherever your story takes you.
With over 18 years of experience behind the camera since 2008, I now exclusively focus on weddings and elopements. Over that time, I’ve worked at many of the region’s most respected wedding venues, bringing a calm, experienced approach to every celebration I document.
My style is natural, unobtrusive, and story-led. I focus on capturing real moments as they happen—genuine emotion, honest interaction, and the atmosphere of your day—without anything forced or overly posed. The result is a set of images that feel authentic, timeless, and true to you.
I’m known for helping even the most camera-shy couples feel relaxed and comfortable, allowing your day to unfold naturally while I quietly document it as it happens. My aim is always to blend in like a guest, capturing your wedding in a way that feels effortless and unobtrusive.
Alongside photography, I also offer a limited highlight film option, creating a beautifully edited 5–8 minute authentic film that reflects the atmosphere and key moments of your day. Drone photography and video are also available where permitted and weather allows.
Wedding photography is available as part-day, full-day, or fully bespoke coverage tailored to your plans.

What does the wedding package include?
Prep to party!! - I typically cover prep to first dance and little afterwards.
Need more coverage then you can book our 'stay till the end' add-on for coverage till 11pm
How far in advance should I contact you?
I typically have weddings booked between 12 and 24 months in advance, I do consider last minute bookings if my diary permits. I recommend early booking to secure your date (and price)

Yes, i am based in the north of England but offer UK wide coverage for full day weddings & elopements

We hired Dash to photograph our wedding a few weeks ago at Newton Hall. What can I say, he was fantastic. From correspondence prior to the wedding and our pre wedding meeting right through to the day itself and afterwards. Dash is so friendly and put us at ease from the first time we met, we wanted relaxed, natural photos for our intimate wedding and he absolutely delivered.
On the day, our guests were so impressed. We had minimal staged photos which saved time however, the ones we did have are stunning. Most of the time you hardly noticed Dash was there, he was discreet and calm which meant our photos are perfectly natural. Our 6 year old son absolutely adored him and Dash was kind enough to get him involved in the photography and Drone flying which he was incredibly excited about. Nothing was too much of an ask, he transported our rings from myself to the Groom (and took some beautiful sneaky shots on the way!) and went out of his way to ensure there was no stress.
The photos themselves are beautiful and Dash was so quick to get the finished albums over to us! They truly do capture every aspect of our day and tell a story, something we can look back through for years to come and remember conversations, laughs and tears.
We were also lucky enough to have Dash set up a photobooth during our evening reception which meant we had classic style black and white photos taken, they are brilliant and fun and our guests loved it! A chance to be silly whilst getting some really super unique photos was brilliant, they are of a fantastic quality and a great little bit of memorabilia for our guests to have printed and hang up at home. Different from the "traditional" wedding portraits!
We truly cannot recommend Dash enough, if you are looking for a friendly, attentive photographer who has years of experience and produces incredible photographs he is perfect. His natural style but with signature theatrical shots creates an incredible portfolio of photos, you'll most definitely want to hang them all up as it's impossible to choose favourites!

Amazing from start to finish!
Dash was to enthusiastic and creative. He captured the candid moments as well as the posed photos perfectly. We're not comfortable in front of a camera but he put us at ease immediately and directed us clearly when needed. He fit in great with our guests, making everyone laugh, and was patient and understanding with tricky family members. We ordered a digital album and the quality of the images was amazing. They were sent in a week too. Great value for money. We loved spending our day with him and would 100% recommend him to everyone!

Fantastic Photographer
I met Dash at a wedding fair and instantly liked him because he wasn’t pushy, and was just a nice guy who was easy to chat to, and so I instantly knew that this was the kind of person that would fit in with the relaxed atmosphere we wanted at our wedding.
Dash made contact with us over the months leading up to our wedding and we had a video call to discuss the day and what we wanted.
On the day I never even noticed Dash in the chapel
or at the drinks reception, nothing ever felt forced or overly staged which meant the pictures he took are completely natural and tell the story of our day perfectly. Our guests commented on how lovely and unobtrusive Dash was throughout the day. The final photos are absolutely stunning and brought back every emotion from our wedding. Relaxed Half Day. I opted for a relaxed later wedding with a half day package that captured the day perfectly with a super relaxed and natural feel. I felt totally at ease and would recommend to anyone who wants to feel that their day flows with minimal fuss. Dash was personable and professional throughout helping to guide where necessary and provided a great portfolio that I could share with all my guests.
Professional, friendly and most of all relaxed capturing the natural flow of the day with the memories I can keep of a complete portfolio.

Just Perfect!
Dash fully understood our vision for our photos, and the results are outstanding. We had a micro wedding with only 21 people and I absolutely loved the architecture of our venue. Dash captured the day, and the venue perfectly and I would absolutely recommend.

Highly recommended
Great value for money. Dash made two people who don’t like pictures taken feel comfortable and well pleased with the results!
Dash is highly professional and extremely efficient. All of our guests commented about how professional he was and how he made it personal remembering everybody’s name after seeing them once.

Would highly recommend Dash
We would highly recommend Dash, he was fantastic at our wedding.
We had a good initial conversation and he was always quick to respond to questions when we had them in the build up.
The pre-wedding shoot was good fun, it put us at ease with Dash who is friendly and engaging, plus we got some great photos from it.
On the day Dash had got there early to take some pre wedding photos and getting ready. He worked through the shots we’d asked to get but in a way which was natural and flowed with the day, he wasn’t fixed or pushy, he adapted with the day as timings inevitably changed and caught a number of surprises our friends and family had planned for us.
Dash was with us throughout the day and he was great throughout, as I say always friendly with us and guests, his advice was really good in structuring pictures so we maximised time with friends and family.
He worked to get us our photos back to us very quickly too and our guests have really enjoyed seeing the photos on the gallery website. The photos are great and we’ve so many we’ll cherish and a number we think we’ll get in bigger prints and photographs.
We also consider Dash to offer really good value for his packages as we’d done plenty of research. Would throughly recommend him.

Simply perfect!
Better late than never but Dash is so lovely to work with and made our day! We used him in May 2023 for our wedding then in 2024 for our newborns picture. There was so much laughter involved and he has the patience of a saint when it came to both! I honestly found Dash by chance and I’m so pleased I did ♥️

Delighted, highly recommended
Dash put me at ease from our first conversation. He is approachable, friendly and super knowledgeable. He had previous experience of working at our venue. My now husband and all of our families got on with him like a house on fire. He worked tirelessly all day, he wasn't seen once without his camera in his hand. We are over the moon with the pictures and our album was sorted so fast. We had everything within weeks (not months like some other photographers). He deserves all his positive accolades and awards. I wish him all the best and much more success in the future.

When I am not photographing the weddings of the most amazing couples throughout the region, then i spend my time relaxing and spending time with my family (Lisa and my two daughters Eve and Katie) - oh, i cant forget the other lady in my life - our choc labrador Willow who would definitely love to attend every wedding i go to.
