Hi, I'm Pele (yes, my dad had a sense of humour). I love capturing the moments of love, laughter and togetherness with your family and friends around you, alongside a sprinkling of beautiful, natural portraits.
My job is to tell the story of your wedding day — including the moments between the moments, the ones you're too busy living to notice at the time.
If you're booking a wedding photographer, it makes sense to work with one who wants to get the absolute most out of your images and tell your story properly through your gallery. Every couple tells me the same thing — that they don't take good photos, or feel awkward in front of a camera. Every single one. Making that part of the day easy, relaxed and genuinely fun for you both matters to me, and a background in studio and fashion photography gives me an extra edge when it comes to guided portraits — it's just one more tool I bring to make sure you both look and feel your best.
I keep my books deliberately small each year so that every couple gets my full attention — What you're paying for is fifteen-plus years of experience, a calm hand on a day that can otherwise feel chaotic, and a gallery that actually looks like your day, not a template.
I bring calm, organised energy to your day, present when you need me and invisible when you don't. Your photographer becomes one of the closest people to you on the day, so it matters who you choose — someone who blends in naturally and is there the moment it counts. I love working with couples who want to be part of the process, from planning through to the portraits and moments we create together.

Right from our very first conversation, we knew instantly Pele was the one. Our pre-engagement shoot and wedding day only confirmed what we already knew!
Pele’s time management is incredible. He is unbelievably organised and absolutely hilarious, which instantly takes away any awkwardness and settles any nerves on the day. He made us feel completely comfortable and relaxed, and honestly felt more like having a friend there than simply a photographer. From calming those emotional wedding morning nerves and keeping us laughing throughout the day, to standing with us at the altar and capturing every special moment so effortlessly, his presence was so reassuring, and that comfort shines through in every single photo.
One of the best things about Pele is how effortlessly he works. You hardly even know he’s there most of the time, yet somehow he captures the most stunning, natural and emotional moments, including the ones you didn’t even realise were happening. Nothing ever felt forced or staged, and that is exactly what made our photos so special.
Not only is Pele exceptionally talented, but he genuinely cares about making the whole experience unforgettable. His professionalism, passion and attention to detail are second to none.
And somehow, he exceeded our expectations even further by sending us preview photos the very next day after our wedding and our entire album less than a week later. We were absolutely blown away!
Our guests are still talking about him now, and so many of our other wedding suppliers commented on just how brilliant he is and how amazing he is to work alongside, which says everything.
We are so, so happy with every single photo Pele has taken and genuinely cannot wait to use him again for all future photo opportunities and milestones.

A brilliant, trustworthy photographer!
We couldn’t recommend Pele highly enough as a wedding photographer. From the very beginning, he was incredibly quick to respond to emails and our first phone conversation immediately made us feel completely at ease.
As we live some distance away, we weren’t able to do an engagement shoot, but this didn’t matter at all. We had a really thorough Zoom call beforehand, after which Pele sent over all his notes and put together his own detailed timing plan. As a Type A person, I absolutely loved this and could cross-reference it with my own notes! It also gave us complete confidence that we were in very capable hands, particularly with Pele working as a single shooter.
On the day itself, he was fantastic. He was calm, friendly and chatty, while somehow always being in exactly the right place. He made a real effort to get around all of our different groups without ever being intrusive. He would often set up shots before coming to find us, meaning we weren’t pulled away from our guests for any longer than necessary. He managed to get all of the ‘wow’ moments without them feeling too orchestrated.
Our couples portraits were one of our favourite parts of the day. Pele made us feel completely relaxed, and after the initial photos he just seemed to melt into the background, allowing us to enjoy the moment together. He captured some absolutely fantastic photographs, and we couldn’t be happier with them.
Sending us the sneak peeks within 48hrs was so fantastic! And the second sneak peak slideshow was such a nice touch too. To receive the full gallery in approx 3-4 weeks also felt very efficient in high season!

Absolutely Amazing!!
Pele was absolutely great from start to finish! My now-husband and I started out really nervous in front of a camera and didn't like our photos being taken. Pele suggested that we did a bit of a pre-shoot, we were instantly put more at ease and got so much more comfortable in front of a camera! The wedding day itself was all amazing too, he really captured all the fun and genuine reactions of the day as well as some portrait shots too! We would absolutely recommend Pele to everyone!

Absolutely Amazing!
We had the pleasure of having Pele from Den Helder Photography as our wedding photographer and we could not have asked for any better! From the very moment we got in contact, through the video calls, messages, arrangements through to our wedding reception, Pele was supportive, professional, engaging and put ourselves and our guests (even the most photo-shy) at ease. So happy!!!
Pele was absolutely amazing!! Communication was superb. He made us feel so comfortable right from the first meeting before the wedding. We had to work with rain, blinding sun and wind all on the same day, and he made it work!! He managed to get some amazing photos and even captured the moments between where we were just laughing because the weather was horrendous. He was very personable, great with kids and made all of our family feel so comfortable. Photos came back so quickly and he even made us an amazing slideshow to our first dance song. Would 1000% recommend, you won't be disappointed!

Absolutely incredible photographer
Pele was absolutely incredible and captured our day perfectly! He absolutely exceeded our expectations and the photos turned out wonderfully. So many people complimented us on how beautiful the photos were and how lovely Pele was! He blended in throughout the day and captured some really special moments without us even realising. Picking a wedding Photographer is a difficult task as you want it to be perfect, rest assured - if you book Pele you will not be disappointed.

Beyond incredible! Couldn’t ask for any more!!
Pele has been absolutely incredible, we really couldn’t ask for anything more. He is so friendly, funny and also very professional. He went above and beyond and captured our day perfectly. He made us feel so comfortable and captured some incredible moments. The photos are even better than we expected and can’t thank him anymore.
