Rooster is a high-energy party band based in Blandford Forum, Dorset. The current band lineup has been playing together since 2015 and has extensive experience across hundreds of events. They have worked with some of the biggest names in the music industry including Bob Geldof, Robbie McIntosh, and many others. Ranging from a 4-piece band all the way through to a show-stopping 10-piece band, they are ideal for any couples looking to create an unforgettable wedding ceremony or reception.

Every wedding Rooster plays is unique. Any couple who reaches out to the band will receive a personal consultation, allowing them to bring the couple's vision to life. The band is completely flexible, with an incredibly wide repertoire including music from the 50s right up to current pop hits. They are always happy to accommodate any special requests. Rooster is available to travel nationally and internationally allowing couples to thrill their guests no matter where their ceremony is held.

What is included in the wedding package?

Every package is bespoke to you and tailored around your needs. We can offer a 4 - 10 piece band in the evening including DJ options and acoustic line-ups for ceremony and drinks reception

How far in advance should I contact you?

You can contact us at whatever stage you are at for you wedding/event. We are happy to discuss the details at any point and help guide you through the process

Is it possible to request something that's not in the repertoire?

Yes! We are happy to learn your first dance or if you have a special request free of charge. Additional songs will be an additional cost

What's your experience?

We as a band have a wealth of experience playing 100's of weddings, parties, corporate events etc so rest assured your wedding/event is in safe hands. Rooster have been playing together since 2015

Is there a charge for travelling?

Yes, for weddings within Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire there is no additional cost but further afield will be depending on the location

Do you cover more than one wedding a day?

Yes

Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?

With a team

What is the length of time of the act?

We can offer 2 x 1 hour sets, 3 x 40 or 1.5 hours straight through. None of these are fixed and we can work with what you need. We can also provide a DJ playlist for when we aren't playing live

How much time do you need to prepare for an act?

We generally need about 1 hour to set up and sound check. We are very flexible and can work with your timings to make sure everything runs smoothly

Do you do open-air acts?

Do you charge per hour or per event?

Per event

If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?

Yes

How do you charge extra time?

This is all dependant on what you need and how large the band you've booked is. We are happy to discuss exactly what you need and price accordingly

What are the forms of payment?

We ask for a 20% deposit upon booking which can be paid via BACS. The balance is then due one week prior to your wedding/event

Brilliant band

We have booked Rooster for our wedding in early summer 2023 and they were just brilliant. Our guests were from different backgrounds, age groups and nationalities but everyone enjoyed the music. Band members are very friendly and professional and we would highly recommend for your special day or any other occasion.

Flawless Wedding Entertainers

Every single member of Rooster contributed flawlessly to ensure our wedding evening entertainment was all we could have hoped for (and more!) The band are true industry professionals and clearly passionate about the service they provide. Rooster were exceptional and we cannot recommend them highly enough to 'wow' at any event or occasion.

Absolutely Phenomenal

We chose Rooster as our wedding evening entertainment and they were phenomenal. From first contact to final song, we were so impressed by the professionalism and talent this band has provided. Rooster really read the room and tailored their set perfectly to the crowd and even played a few more to finish in response to ‘encore!’ If you’re looking for a reliable band to deliver unforgettable entertainment, look no further.

Fantastic entertainment

Rooster were fantastic from booking to the end of our special day. Professional from the outset, but most of all extremely entertaining. Kev made sure everything went smoothly and we couldn't have been happier! 10/10.

Absolutely amazing!

We booked Rooster for the evening reception of our wedding. We really wanted a party vibe and they had everyone up dancing. We wouldn’t hesitate to book them again - from first point of contact to the end of the evening they were great to deal with. Would definitely recommend!
