Civil Weddings serves couples throughout Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, and Cambridgeshire. What’s more, Civil Weddings are happy to perform a ceremony anytime, and anywhere, from private gardens to lavish lake-side settings. If you choose to get married abroad, Civil Weddings can help you share your wedding celebration with family and friends when you return. Civil Weddings can also incorporate any religious, or symbolic elements that have special meaning to you into the ceremony.

The kindest and loveliest celebrant we could of asked for!
Chris was incredible - the perfect person to be our celebrant on the big day. He was kind, thoughtful and so helpful throughout the entire process.
Every zoom call we had prior to the wedding was fun and enjoyable, and Chris ran through everything multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed.
The day went so smoothly and Chris really put us both at ease, he felt more like a friend than a celebrant, and it’s everything we wanted.
We highly recommend Chris for your big day - he’ll make it so special and we can’t thank him enough!

Fantastic Celebrant!
Chris was the best celebrant- on the run up to the wedding we had multiple calls and he was always so understanding and took on board our concerns to reassure us for the big day! He has so much experience and even on the day it was like seeing a friend and he made us so at ease. You won’t be disappointed to book Chris, if you want someone that has experience whilst also being so personable and seeing a friendly face on your big day :) Thank you so much Chris X

Chris was incredible, we had several meetings to get to know him and for him to get to know us. We worked together to create the perfect script for our ceremony which was so personal, exactly as we wanted. Thank you Chris!!

Wonderful Chris
Chris was amazing from start to finish. Even when our plans had to change last minute, he put us at ease and made sure everything still felt special. He took the time to really get to know us through regular Zoom calls, which made the ceremony feel so personal and meaningful. On the day, his words were perfect, and he created such a relaxed and joyful atmosphere. Chris is genuinely lovely, friendly, and professional — we’re so glad we booked him.

The most perfect celebrant
Chris was brilliant! Our regular meetings with him put us at ease through the whole process. He was so flexible with wording, offered great suggestions for vows/readings and was just perfect on the day. Always so calm and a brilliant addition to our special day. Thank you Chris!!

Superstar Celebrant
We got in contact with Chris a couple of months before our wedding. he was quick to respond and set up an initial meeting which helped us know everything we needed to proceed with him. he helped us to craft the wedding ceremony we wanted with parts from a registration and parts for just us and he really helped us through the process of getting our personal vows sorted. he even gave us the whole script of the ceremony so we could pass it on to our translator for our non English speaking guests. on the day he arrived early and spoke to both of us before the ceremony for anything we needed and he even had backup scripts for when i had printed out my personal vows with a few lines missing. we got lots of compliments afterwards from family and friends that he was lovely and making them laugh.

Great celebrant - would recommend to anyone
We had the pleasure of having Chris as our celebrant, and we couldn't be happier with our experience. From the very beginning, he was incredibly warm, professional, and attentive to every detail. He took the time to understand what we wanted for our ceremony and delivered it beautifully. Many of our guests commented on how lovely the ceremony was, and that’s all thanks to him. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a kind and reliable celebrant who really cares about making your day special!

Highly recommend!
Chris was our celebrant for our wedding in April this year. From the beginning of the process, Chris was a pleasure to deal. Very friendly and quick to respond to any queries we had throughout the process. We opted the for pre-written ceremony scripted option. Great value for money compared to other celebrants quotes we received.
On the day, Chris put us both at ease and was very professional. The ceremony run smoothly. We liked the option of the added certificate signing at the end and thought this was a nice touch. The ceremony had a very similar feel to that of a legal civil ceremony.

Fantastic Celebrant for Renewals in Essex
Chris was our Celebrant of choice for our Wedding Vow Renewal. We had looked at others but always came back to Chris, he was friendly, professional and put us at ease right from the start.
He helped us decide on what we wanted and advised us on things we were unsure of. Chris kept us in the loop as to what he needed to know and replied to all our questions straight away. The day before the Ceremony Chris got in contact to make sure all was well and arrived nice and early to have a last minute chat before the ceremony. He was a very calming influence.
We could not have wished for a better Celebrant to perform our ceremony, he helped make our day go off smoothly. It was a pleasure to have him with us, I would not hesitate to recommend Chris and if we need a celebrant again it will be Chris I go to.

Brilliant!
