Belinda (Bel) Robey of Ceremonies by Bel is a fully trained and qualified celebrant with a long and established background in bringing love stories to life in words. As former Assistant Editor of HELLO! magazine, she specialised in celebrity weddings, interviewing famous brides and grooms, such as Rochelle and Marvin Humes, Kimberley Walsh and Tina Turner, about love and romance, attending their big days and capturing every moving, memorable moment in her writing.
Warm, friendly and perceptive, Bel now uses her love of words and nose for a great exclusive line to create sparkling tailor-made ceremonies for couples who say "I do" to throwing away the rule book and same ol', same ol' scripts heard countless times before in favour of a true and authentic reflection of them and their vision.

"The ceremony was our favourite part!"
In the run-up, she was so good at giving us the nudge to complete our questionnaires, while also respecting our time and how much other wedding stuff we had to sort out. She sent over a script and was very open and amenable to our edits, and the final version was something that told our story in such a personal way, that we never would have achieved at the legal ceremony.
On the day, Bel was a calming and familiar presence, so we weren't too nervous as we said our vows. She had everything printed and it all looked very professional - no staring at phones to read! We also had so many compliments on the day with people saying how emotional they were feeling, how they could really feel all the love in that room. It was honestly such a perfect day. Thank you Bel!!

- I hold a Level 3 Diploma in Naming and Couples Ceremonies - the highest qualification of its kind available in the UK - from OFSTED outstanding-rated Civil Ceremonies Ltd.
- "Elegant" and “classy” are words that have kindly been used to describe my ceremony style.
- I am Mum to a wonderful grown-up daughter - and personal servant to a tiny but mighty rescue Chihuahua-Pom who’s always looking for trouble.
- I met my husband in the street. I thought he was trying to steal my bag!. A year to the day later, on the very spot in Waterloo where he gave me his business card, he asked me to marry him. Kismet!
- I'm a big fan of thrillers, bubble baths, chilled rose wine, sunshiney walks, red velvet cake (actually, pretty much all cake) and US dog rescuer Lee Asher.
