Rest assured that we are a fully insured, independent company with a 5* food hygiene rating, with all our cakes being made fresh and of the highest quality with only the best ingredients. We pride ourselves on going that extra step for our customers and having that verified by becoming finalists in the North of England Wedding Awards for customer service for the last 3 years. 💜
We are also thrilled to have been given certificates of excellence from Three Best Rated Cake Makers in Hull every year since 2021. We were awarded a commendation from Cake International’s summer 2020 competition for an entry we submitted into their wedding cake category and, more recently, have been awarded Best Bespoke Cake Makers in East Yorkshire

Hello, I’m Ellie, the founder and cake designer behind Elliegantly Made in Hedon, East Yorkshire. I’ve been creating bespoke wedding cakes for over a decade, combining timeless design with a personal touch to tell each couple’s unique story through cake.
Every design starts with a conversation. I love getting to know my couples, hearing about their plans and personalities, and then turning those ideas into something beautiful and delicious. Whether it’s an elegant tiered showstopper, a hand-painted love story, or a modern buttercream finish, I believe every cake should be as individual as the people cutting it.
Over the years, I’ve been proud to see Elliegantly Made become a multi-award-winning business, known for creativity, flavour, and a friendly, relaxed experience from consultation to delivery.
When I’m not in the kitchen, you’ll usually find me spending time with my beautiful family and friends (often with a glass of wine) sketching new designs, singing with my local choir, or walking our gorgeous labradoodle Chester.
I feel incredibly lucky to do what I love every day helping couples celebrate one of thw most magical days.
Hi, I’m Ray
Part baker, part delivery driver, part accountant… and full-time cake protector here at Elliegantly Made!
Alongside Ellie, I help with the baking and the behind-the-scenes running of the business, from keeping the accounts straight to making sure everything runs smoothly during busy wedding weeks. I’m usually the one behind the wheel on delivery days while Ellie catches up on admin in the passenger seat, it’s definitely a team effort.
I also take my role as washer-upper and supplier of snacks and brews (Yorkshire Tea of course!) very seriously, especially during the height of wedding season when Ellie’s in full creative flow!
I love seeing everything come together and knowing I’ve played a part in making someone’s day extra special makes it all worthwhile.
Any spare time I have you will find me reading, lighting the bbq or enjoying a glass of malt with family and friends.
