We got married at Saltmarshe Hall on the late May bank holiday 2025, booked approximately 18 months beforehand. From the initial show-around to each ad-hoc visit to see Amy for our meetings, the weather was never on our side, yet we were consistently blown away every time by the beauty of the Hall, the gardens and the service. Getting married in the UK means you can never be sure of the weather, so this theme really reassured us that Saltmarshe was the perfect setting for our wedding, no matter the weather!

When you are receiving wedding venue packages and quotes, they all appear quite similar and overwhelming when trying to compare. What was clear for us, especially after the wedding with family and friends even telling us this, was how fantastic the Saltmarshe staff were. Amy, Ellie, Mark, Michael just to name a few were like having friends by our side the whole day, yet the professionalism was second to none. The pre-meetings with Amy before the wedding were so thorough and reassuring, consistently giving us ideas of additional things to consider (and things to avoid!) to really get the most out of our day. I loved how much detail she wanted to have, not by necessity but by choice because she knew it would help on the day such as key vendor details, leaving nothing to a surprise. She was always just at the end of a phone call / email, even for the smallest silly question. On the day, Amy had thought of everything before I had a chance. Seeing her around was the biggest reassurance and genuine pleasure! The wider team couldn’t do enough for us - putting personalised gift bags in each of our guests’ room, supplying our favourite champagne (not usually on the bar menu!), grabbing me a bottle of water within a split second of saying I was thirsty and entertaining our flower girl after she took a little fall 5 minutes before the aisle walk! Nothing was too much to ask. Having the night porter package everything up for us after the wedding was over meant we could really soak up every last minute before check-out too.

We fell in love with Saltmarshe Hall because of all the variations of opportunity in every way you can think of - we got married in the Walled Garden, the day after a torrential downpour. The team knew how much we had our heart set on an outdoor ceremony and they truly went above and beyond to make it happen - even if it did make their lives a tiny bit harder setting up half outside (and half inside as contingency!). However, we equally loved the Morning Room, full of so much natural light. The main hall area with the staircase was a glorious backdrop for so many of our most-adored photos including our cake cut. Having exclusive use of the venue, including accommodation for our nearest and dearest, was a huge plus for us too.

In the lead up to the wedding, we took the opportunity to visit Saltmarshe Hall for various events such as Mother’s Day afternoon tea, Sunday lunch and of course the Wedding Tasting. Each time the food was consistently incredible however we were sceptical, could this really be replicated to the same calibre for a guest list of 70? On the day itself, even with 3 different options per course, the food, drink and service quality was exceptional. Again, it was a real compliment to the chef and team to hear how good the food was from our family and friends, not just us!


I often wonder if we may be biased on our love for Saltmarshe and our fond memories of our once in a lifetime wedding day, however many of our wedding guests also commented on how the wedding day ran so smoothly compared to other weddings they’d been to, which was all a credit to the wonderful Amy and her team. Your wedding day goes by so fast, and we are so grateful that we chose Saltmarshe Hall, Amy and her team to help us. Our only criticism is we wish we could do it all over again!

We had the most incredible wedding day at Saltmarshe Hall. Our coordinator, Amy, was amazing! Like a best friend for the day. She brought so much energy, took care of everything, and even wore a red suit to match our theme.

The venue is stunning, with beautifully kept historic interiors that felt perfect for our winter wedding. Everything ran flawlessly, and the staff went above and beyond, adding thoughtful touches like strawberries on the rose prosecco and helping us place gifts in guests’ rooms.

We had endless compliments on the food. The rooms were gorgeous and our guests loved their stays.
Saltmarshe Hall gave us the most magical day, and we couldn’t recommend it more. 💕

We don’t know where to start about Saltmarshe Hall… every single one of the previous reviews speak for themselves!

We INSTANTLY fell in love with the venue and booked our day immediately during our first visit, not to mention we were sold without even wanting to visit anywhere else. It didn’t feel right to explore other options when we just knew from day one, this was the venue for us.. Just over 2 years later, it was our turn to have our gorgeous day, this July!

The day itself ran without a single hitch and the whole team were beyond accommodating, kind, helpful & just as excited as we were. A special mention has to be included for gorgeous Ashleigh & Ellie - we didn’t go a minute of our day not knowing where to be, what came next and more importantly…. Without a drink in our hands!!!

Unfortunately, the lovely Ashleigh has now moved on to her new adventure, but I am positive she has handed over the reigns to the next incredible planner. Every single one of the team made our day worth every penny, stress, worry along the way - none of which were EVER caused by them!

Throughout the process, it was almost too good to be true, everything was organised seamlessly and effortlessly. We knew very very very early on, we had not only picked the most beautiful venue, but also the most accommodating and organised.

Nothing is ever too much trouble, unworkable or a silly question to ask! It’s crazy when you begin the planning process, how many things you don’t know and hadn’t considered - the Saltmarshe team made sure we had EVERY single detail covered.

All of our suppliers, most of which were highly recommended by the venue, were incredible and welcomed from the moment they arrived on site - it made us and them feel so ease and at home.

We truly owe it to the beautiful team for allowing us to have the best day of our lives and a huge testament, that our guests also fell in love with this dreamy venue as much as we did.

Saltmarshe Hall will forever hold a special place in our hearts and we will be sure to be back as often as we can!

The venue, staff and the whole occasion was marvellous. The organisation of the day was very well executed and all went to plan which allowed ourselves to enjoy the day. Amy is an amazing wedding coordinator who really knew her stuff and made the day such a big success.

We got married at Saltmarshe Hall 22nd May 2025! From the moment we arrived the afternoon before it was the most amazing experience. We were made to feel so relaxed and at home, Amy (who was just the most amazing wedding coordinator from start to finish) took everything from me the night before, and made me feel so calm … this theme continues!

The morning of the wedding was all go, and the nerves kicked in during the morning for the both of us, but who was on hand to calm those nerves … Amy! I don’t think we could have got through the day without her, there were times where we just needed to be told ‘it is your day you can do what you want’ and with that the formal wear was gone and we changed into comfy clothes; with no judgement!


Saltmarshe Hall is the most magical and stunning venue. On our first visit, we walked through the main doors, looked at each other and said this is the one! The hall is stunning - the stairs and morning room took our breath away. The gardens also made the perfect backdrop for our wedding photos, it is just beautiful. Also, being able to use the whole hall just made the day feel so relaxed and that is just what we wanted, it was perfect and we owe that to Saltmarshe Hall and its amazing team!


We honestly can’t thank Amy enough, from the very start she was there to help with any questions, nothing felt too much trouble, even after our many questions. It was a small wedding, but Amy helped us see how our vision and day could look and made that vision and more happen on the day!


If we could relive the day again we would, it was just perfect! We can’t wait to plan a visit to Saltmarshe Hall again, as it now holds such a special place in our hearts!

The venue, the gardens, the food, the drinks, the rooms, the staff (especially Ashleigh) were spectacular from start to finish. We could not have asked for better.

From visiting for the first time I just KNEW Saltmarshe Hall was the one for us. Our perfect day from beginning to end.

Ashleigh is the best at keeping you as a bride, calm and at ease. Nothing was ever too much. She answered all our questions immediately and it felt like I was talking to a friend, not my wedding coordinator.

The gardens and Hall itself are just immaculate! We had so many compliments from our guests and family.

My bridesmaids and groomsmen all knew their order and ‘jobs’, all thanks to Ash and her staff. There are so many wonderful things about this venue I could be here all day.

Honestly the best day of our lives. I wish so much that we could do it again.

We couldn't have asked for a better, more stunning wedding venue!

Every single question I had in the 18 months from booking, to the days before was answered promptly, and I had every faith in Amy and team in putting on the day of our dreams.

As a "type-a" sort of person, I felt so at ease with the levels of communication, and attention to detail from everyone at Saltmarshe - I just knew that everything would be carried out as we planned.


The actual day went so smoothly, with everything running like clockwork. Staff knew which guest was sitting where, who had a dietary requirement etc, that we've heard nothing but praise from everyone there that day. Special shout out to Dijon, who kept our wine filled, found a missing wallet and even kept the dance floor clean from spills.

All their expertise obviously comes from the fact Saltmarshe Hall host so many weddings, but not once did we ever feel like we crossed over with other couples. It truly felt like we were the only people in the diary, even though that's definitely not the case.

It's also so special being able to go back to your wedding venue, and I'm sure we'll be dropping by Saltmarshe over the coming years for meals, stays and other treats (I have my eyes on a bottomless brunch lol)

When we were choosing our venue for our special day, we knew the moment we stepped into Saltmarshe Hall that it was the place we wanted. We immediately loved the homely feel that it had, and the warm welcome from staff put us straight at ease. Thinking that the stunning grounds and beautiful house could be the backdrop for our wedding day made both of us emotional and we could not wait for our day. All of the staff went above and beyond to make sure that our day was just perfect. The unexpected beautiful weather made our day all that we could have hoped for and more! A special shoutout to Ashleigh - nothing that we asked for was too much and she answered all of our million questions quickly and supported us both through the crazy process of planning a wedding! She had thought of things we had not even considered and ensured our day ran without a hitch. We just wish we could do it all again!

We had our wedding here in December 2024. It truly is such a stunning venue, it offers the grandeur of a stately home, whilst also feeling cosy and homely. Throughout December they have many Christmas trees up around the hall, and also beautiful garlands down the stairs and across the fireplaces. The fires were on during the day which really added to that wintery cosy feeling. The staff here are also incredible, they simply cannot do enough for you. Amy was our wedding co-coordinator and she was incredible. The day ran so smoothly, and she made us feel so special. We went to Saltmarshe Hall many times in the run up to our wedding, and every time was just as beautiful and perfect as the last. We already can't wait to return.

We do not have the words to fully explain how brilliant the Saltmarshe Hall team are. From the minute we arranged a visit to the venue, they were so attentive, personable and could not have been more accommodating. As soon as we drove up to the hall, we knew it was the venue for us – its elegant, timeless, yet homely style was very much what we were aiming for. It was so hard to decide where to have our ceremony as there are so many equally beautiful locations around the hall and gardens. Ashleigh was able to help extract the scrambled vision from my mind and help us turn it into a reality. From start to finish, Ashleigh was the most unbelievable co-ordinator we could have asked for – friendly, organised and a keen eye for detail.

On the day, Ashleigh, Tim, Amy and the rest of the team were central – so many guests commented on how the staff felt like a part of the day and were so warm and accommodating. We genuinely could not have asked for more and at no point throughout the process did we feel as though it was a service. Every member of staff made us feel as though our wedding was as important to them as it was to us. Even though there was a wedding the day before ours and an event the day after, there was never the feeling that it was ‘just another wedding’. The food was phenomenal, the rooms are stunning and the gardens are immaculately kept.

We genuinely cannot recommend Saltmarshe Hall enough to anyone looking for their dream venue!

Our experience with Saltmarshe Hall was exceptional and we credit that to the fantastic team of people that assured our day was everything we ever wanted.

Since our first tour around Saltmarshe Hall we were so impressed with the homely yet elegant feel of the house and grounds. We knew straight away that we wanted to celebrate our marriage in this setting.

Amy was so attentive and detailedorientated and really made us feel like the most important couple in the world. Her sunny demeanour and down to earth attitude put us at ease during the most stressful times.

The wedding day itself went perfectly. The food was stunning, the organisation was brilliant, and the service from staff was fantastic. We truly appreciated Ruby coming to find us when we were getting out pictures taken in the grounds with a tray of canapes! All staff went above and beyond to make sure everybody had a great time.

The bedrooms/suites were modern and individualistic and our guests were blown away by them. Guests felt comfortable in the house and couldn't be more complimentary.

Overall we had an extremely positive experience with Saltmarshe Hall and would recommend it to anyone.

The staff are really what is most special about saltmarshe hall I’ve never experienced service quite like it! On our wedding day they worked behind the scenes setting up decor, moving us room to room ect so we could just enjoy our day with our loved ones!

The hall itself is absolutely stunning and the grounds are really why we fell in love with it! So well looked after and beautiful in the summer time especially! There’s a reason why this venue wins the awards they do every year because they truly are amazing at weddings and making couples feel so well looked after!

From the get-go we knew we loved Saltmarshe Hall. We had been viewing other venues but none of them ticked the boxes like this one, even boxes we didn't know we had! It has beautiful grounds, a fabulous mix of contemporary and classic decor and a vast array of period features to centre photographs around, including the walled gardens, Lime Tree Ave. and that incredible curving staircase in the atrium.

Amy couldn't do enough for us and was with us through every step of the planning, the meal choices and table plan, the taster evening and making time for our check-ins during the lead up to the event. She spent the whole two days corralling wayward guests and organising our outside suppliers, ensuring both myself and my new bride had everything we could possibly need, usually before we even asked for it.

All the staff were wonderful, exceeding all possible expectations. The pool party and barbeque the day before were lovely and the cooked breakfast really set myself and the guests up for the big day in the morning (bride had delicious fruit and pastries in the bridal suite whilst getting ready with the bridal party).

All the food was exceptional, far exceeding our expectations of wedding catering from previous experience as wedding guests, the three choices presenting excellent value for money (definitely go for that!). The canapes were delicious and a selection was brought to us separately, allowing us a quiet few minutes away from the hustle and bustle together before the next round of photographs.

Everything ran so smoothly and we just went with the flow, our trust in the staff and venue well-rewarded. It's true what married folks tell you: it goes so fast after so much planning: it really is over in a heartbeat, but I wouldn't change a thing about it, even the hour of rain we had in the evening reception didn't dampen any spirits, as the venue had ample space inside, and the covered patio was heated and comfortable.

We honestly can't recommend this venue highly enough. You may find something cheaper in your search but cheap doesn't always mean value for money. You will have peace of mind with a booking at Saltmarshe Hall, and for the most important day of your life you need all the support you can get so that you can focus on simply enjoying yourselves and spending time with the people you love.

The food was phenomenal, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about it! Saltmarshe Hall made our day truly unforgettable, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their incredible hospitality and attention to detail. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a gorgeous venue with a dedicated team.
