Wedding Time Bridal Salon and Men's Formalwear is situated in the heart of the historic town of Dorchester in Dorset. Now trading in excess of 40 years, Tracy, the owner for the past 34 years, has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in the wedding industry.
Wedding Time is a Grade II Listed building with lots of character and old beams, and has three fitting rooms over two floors. Each fitting room has its own space that is not visible from the road, enabling you to enjoy the privacy you require whilst wedding shopping for wedding dresses and suits.
The Wedding Time team are here to help you with finding your perfect wedding dress or suit for your special day. Our lovely Deborah is our in-house seamstress, and all of your fittings are undertaken in-store. Deborah is in the shop 5 days a week and will help you in every way to bespoke your wedding dress or make those special, important touches, making your experience with us extremely special.
Our wedding dress designers, Stella York, Demetrios, Cosmobella and Veni Infantino, provide a stunning selection of their current collections in our Salon. From sleek and simple elegance to full and frothy ball gowns, we provide as many different styles for your selection. We also have a range of sale Designer, one-off dresses, at amazing prices which are not to be missed.
Additionally, Becky is our main lady for our suit department, where we sell Marc Darcy, Charles Grey, Cavani and Benetti suits and also have a wide selection of men's suits to hire, along with a choice of waistcoats, ties and hankies for that all-important groom and groomsmen special attire.

I am really happy to welcome you to our wonderful Team to help you with your wedding attire.
I bought Wedding Time 34 years ago and have loved every minute of helping brides find their dream dress for their wedding. Having take the time to listen and learn over the years now gives me the chance to pass on that experience to our bride's whilst trying on dresses. Deborah, my in house seamstress but more to the point a valued member of the team and a friend, has been here with me since 3 months after purchasing the shop and she is so talented and amazing at the alterations that she provides to our brides. I am very lucky to have her here.
17 years ago we added a small room of wedding suits available for hire and in no time the ground floor was full of suits. We have helped so many grooms over the years making sure that they have everything perfect for their day. In the last 6 years we introduced more suits to purchase from Marc Darcy, Benetti, Charles Grey and more recently Cavani. These suits sit reall well alongside our hiring suits giving flexibility to our Grooms buying a suit and hiring for the remainder of the party.
Apart from loving my job and working with Deborah and Becky, a little about me outside of shop. I was born in Dorchester and have only moved away for a short time. I love to be outdoors, walking and being with friends. Since a young age I have had a passion for horses and used to compete but since 4 years ago I no longer ride. I gym and golf! Not quite the same but really good anyway.
