We had the absolute pleasure of working with Sugar Lens Wedding Films for our Sudbury wedding in May 2024, and Sophie was an absolute dream from start to finish! From the moment we booked her, she was incredibly accommodating and responsive, making the entire process feel seamless. Communication with Sophie was a breeze—her replies were always prompt, and it was such a relief to know we were in good hands.

As our wedding day approached, Sophie went the extra mile by visiting our venue, as she hadn't shot there before. This meeting was invaluable and really helped us feel prepared. Two weeks before the big day, we had a detailed call with Sophie to finalise the schedule and discuss what moments were most important to us. This really put us at ease and helped us focus on enjoying the day.

On the wedding day, Sophie was an absolute joy to have around. She fit in perfectly with the bridal party while we were getting ready, creating such a calming presence and helping to settle my nerves. Throughout the rest of the day, she was professional, communicative, and made us feel completely at ease during our couple portrait shots, which made the entire experience so enjoyable.

When we received our 7-minute teaser, we were completely blown away. The footage was breathtaking, and the music choice was spot-on. We found ourselves watching it on repeat, with tears in our eyes every time, as it brought back so many beautiful memories. Our friends and family loved it, and we received so many compliments on the teaser.

A few weeks later, we received a stunning engraved wooden box containing a heart-shaped USB with our full wedding video. We sat down that evening with a bottle of bubbly, and as we watched our entire wedding day unfold, tears streamed down our faces. The way Sophie captured every moment, paired with the perfect music, was nothing short of magical. We know we’ll treasure this video for the rest of our lives.

We had a very laid back wedding (festival vibe wedding) no first dance, no speeches, quick ceremony. So we wanted more footage of the evening ‘rave’. Sophie was more than happy to work with this and stayed to capture everyone dancing into the night in the giant teepees! She was very behind the scenes but somehow being right in all the action at all times and no one really noticed she was there which made the wedding video even more perfect as nothing was missed but everything was still very candid! She captured every detail perfectly which is amazing to watch back as us and our family DIY’d everything at the wedding and Sophie made sure to capture it all for us!

I am also a very socially anxious person and the thought of posing for videos/pictures makes me feel awful, Sophie didn’t put any pressure on me to get video of me and my Husband and got amazing candid footage of us having some alone time walking the fields after the ceremony with our son. Sophie made everyone feel really comfortable and I wouldn’t recommend her enough!

Sophie filmed our wedding and it's something we watch SO often. She captured the best parts of the day and all the emotions, seeing it for the first time was like re-living the entire day again.

I spent a long time looking for the perfect videographer that suited our style for our wedding. Sophie was exactly what we were looking for. If your wanting a videographer that is all about capturing the natural reactions and blends in with the guests then she is the perfect match for you. Not only did she capture our day perfect, the reel and main video and the effort she has put in to them really shows. I cannot recommend Sophie enough...I knew I wanted a video more than anything for the memories from our wedding and Sophie has most definitely not disappointed. Consultations before were a breeze with Sophie amending her approach to be specific to myself and my husband. On the day she moved calmly and quietly (barely noticing she was there) whilst also making sure I was happy and confident. By far the best decision we made when planning our wedding was hiring Sophie to do our wedding videos. We absolutely love both the full video and the highlight reel and they are such a special way to re-experience our special day.
