So thoughtful and stress-free!

We had our wedding at Tissington Hall in September 2023 - the whole experience was wonderful! The building, grounds, & marquee were gorgeous, but beyond that we felt so well taken care of.
The staff and organisers were all so helpful and proactive, we didn't need to worry about anything. From making sure our elderly relatives were comfortable during the day to saving some doughnuts for my husband & I before they were all gone. Even the security team during the evening were lovely!
I cannot recommend Tissington Hall as a wedding venue enough, and I've said so to all the engaged couples I know.

Our dream wedding!

We got married at Tissington Hall in September 2023. From start to finish the team were a dream! We absolutely loved the venue when we went round (even one cold winter day!) and booked it not long after. We were so impressed by Fiona, Cat, Gabby and the team, they really went above and beyond in all aspects of planning and on the day itself. They put their hearts and souls into it and you could tell they were very passionate about what they were doing! The little touches had been thought of which I’m sure you wouldn’t get anywhere else. The venue is stunning and the pavilion and gardens. We were lucky enough to get married outside which was a dream. I would recommended the team and the venue to everyone, we had the best day with memories which will last a life time, thank you Tissington!

Fairytale Wedding Venue

Tissington Hall is an absolutely gorgeous wedding venue and the team are amazing. Lady Fiona showed us around on our first tour and we fell in love with it straight away. We wanted an intimate celebration with our dogs involved and Tissington Hall and its beautiful gardens were perfect. We were very lucky to get a wedding date for the same year.

We only had a short amount of time to plan but our wedding coordinator Cat and the team went absolutely above and beyond for us. Everything was perfect on the day and we all felt so relaxed.

It really was a fairytale wedding venue.

magical, excellent, amazing

where to start?
from the first meet with Cat (wedding planner) we knew this was the right place and the right people that would/did do everything we wanted and more. the house and ground are amazing and we got some really good photos around the grounds. nothing was too much trouble for the team and was on hand whenever anyone needed. the Tissington team really did make our day something to remember and i can honestly say we have made some lifelong friends with the team. i know it a job but even when the day is over the kindness and friendship goes on. we have visited on a few occasions and its like visited friends with open armed. we get the feeling the team actually don't class it as a job but for the love of making people happy, and my gosh they don't half make a good job of doing just that. the amount of comment from our guest about the venue and the people that looked after every single person at our wedding was amazing. i suppose it normal to worry that something wont go to plan but all of our worries was met with positivity from the team and it really did make us feel special. we had a mixture of age groups and even the very young was asked if they was ok an if they would like anything by the staff and this is the reason we still like to visit, because the kids want to go and see Cat, Gabbie and the team. Tissington is not just a place for one special day its a place that can be visited at any time and be like visiting friends with open arms.
we love you xx

Perfect venue and faultless service

Our wedding part was a small one and the Carriage House was the perfect venue. Every detail of our wedding was thought through. The British weather is always unpredictable and the Team at Tissington gives you flexible options which they can switch as a minute’s notice. This allowed us to enjoy every minute of our wedding without worrying or stressing. Everything from day one of contacting the team to the actual wedding day was smooth and stress free. One of the bridesmaid dress has an issue which was fixed by the staff in no time. In addition, the Bride’s dress buttons kept falling and a staff member quickly sewed them back on. The attention to detail was superbe. We used the suppliers list for the majority of the services and they were fantastic. We couldn’t recommend this venue enough. Cat and Gabbi look after every aspect of the day and did a perfect job.

Cat and Gabby are amazing!!

We had our wedding at Tissington Hall in July 2023. We absolutely loved the location and the wedding exceeded our expectations! The rose garden and grounds were absolutely beautiful, we had so many comments from our guests about how much they loved it. Cat and Gabby were fantastic at organising everything behind the scenes, from walking round the village to give the groomsmen their button hole flowers early in the morning, directing guests to be in the right place at the right time throughout the day and even making a bouquet for the bouquet toss in no time at all! Cat was brilliant at answering all of our emails in the lead up to our wedding, dealing with all of the suppliers and made the day run so smoothly. We also visited Tissington a couple of times in the year before our wedding and Cat was very kind to show us and our families around Tissington Hall. She was an absolutely exceptional wedding coordinator and the only regret is that we don’t have a reason to talk to her anymore! We couldn’t recommend a wedding at Tissington more highly!

Best day of our lives 🥰

We had our wedding reception at Tissington Hall on 1st July and we could not have asked for a better day! The wedding coordinator made sure everything ran smoothly and the staff were efficient and professional throughout. The gardens are so beautiful and we got some great photos in them.

Better than we could have ever imagined

Tissington were incredible from start to finish.

The whole team would go above and beyond with every ask. Cat was just amazing, no ask was too big. They made our dream day come true!

They paid attention to every single detail and made us feel as though we were their only wedding all year (despite being one of at least 60!)

We get to go back for a friends wedding in September and can’t wait to see both the venue and the wonderful people.

Our dream wedding day!

Where to even start... Growing up locally to Tissington Hall, I have always admired its beauty, and so once we were engaged I knew that we had to go for a viewing of it as a potential wedding venue.

From the moment we made contact with the Lady Fiona, we knew that this was the venue for us! The communication and hard work from all members of the team (including Lady Fiona, Cat, Gabi and Kim) was impeccable, and we were so well looked after both during the planning phase, and on the day itself (particularly by Gabi, who was worth her weight in gold). The team is a well-oiled machine, and everyone was helpful, enthusiastic and friendly from start to finish. Nothing felt like too much trouble, and they were fully flexible with tailoring things to fit with our vision (which included having an external cocktail supplier in a converted horsebox on the drive).

The venue is quite simply stunning, and despite its grandeur, has a welcoming and relaxed feel, which was invaluable once the nerves started kicking in!

I honestly can't stress enough how much I recommend both Tissington Hall itself, and the wedding team. Our day was seamless, and their attention to detail meant that all I had to worry about on the day itself was getting ready. I just wish we could do it all over again!

Luckily we will have the wonderful memories and thanks to the comprehensive recommended suppliers list we were provided, we also have amazing photos by Chris Smith (who is both inconspicuous and knows the venue like the back of his hand).

Thanks again all, from Mr and Mrs Rodgers! x

The perfect venue for an English country wedding

A wedding at the end of November could be fraught with issues relating mainly to the weather. However, Tissington Hall, the ancestral home of the 9th Baronet, Sir Richard Fitzherbert, in late autumn is a stunningly beautiful place to be. We were very lucky with the aforementioned weather but it was the quality of the venue, its perfect setting, intimate atmosphere and the ease with which our day progressed, made so by the excellent organisation provided by Lady Fiona and her main lady Cat which makes this a wonderful wedding venue.

From first until last, their attention to detail, much of which would have passed us by, made the day that much more special for us and enjoyable for our guests.

Andrea was treated like royalty from the moment she arrived and the time before the wedding was a special time for her. Again, manager Cat was on hand throughout with many a calming word when required.

We held our marriage ceremony in the Hall itself. It's a magnificent room... oak panelled with just the largest fireplace giving out welcome seasonal warmth for all.

Being fortunate to be able to have outdoor photos, Tissington Hall provides literally a picture perfect backdrop and we we were so happy with the photography provided by Charlotte Heather-Cray.

We shared our day with seventy family and friends and this is about the limit for a marriage ceremony in the Hall itself and wedding breakfast held in the Carriage House. More so in summer, I believe that many weddings use the marquee in the Hall grounds which also looked like a fabulous venue.

A word for the Carriage House... a suite of three large rooms providing a dining room, large bar area and a place for our band and a dance floor. Much of the wedding day is spent in the Carriage House. It has a warm and intimate feel to it, less formal than the main Hall, but with enough space and excellent facilities.

The rooms at Tissington Hall, including the Bridal Suite, are also perfectly presented and many guests stayed in the rooms there with nothing but praise for the quality of accommodation. There was also a variety of guest house and holiday rental accommodation available in Tissington village.

The ultimate test of a service is whether there is anything you would want to change or be done better and I can honestly say that there is nothing either of us would have wanted to be different.

We feel very fortunate that we were able to enjoy such a great day and would recommend Tissington Hall to anyone as a fabulous wedding venue.

The most beautiful and intimate wedding

Our day was absolutely perfect from start to finish . As a small party of 27 we wanted something intimate and relaxed and a ceremony within the hall followed by dinner and an evening with music in the Carriage House proved itself to be the most perfect combination. The wedding team were attentive and professional - Cat, Gabi, Ryan and the team saw that the day ran smoothly without a hitch and nothing was too much trouble. The venue is stunning; the open fires were lit and the Autumn light filtered beautifully through the lead pane windows . Our families and friends stayed in the various different holiday cottages and apartments throughout the estate which made for a fabulous evening for them all to be able to walk home. Tissington Hall and it’s staff have given us a day to remember for the rest of our lives. Kim and Alasdair x

The best day!

We had the most amazing day and absolutely loved every second!

We got married at St Mary's church, followed by our reception in Tissington Hall and wedding breakfast in the marquee. Tissington Hall is gorgeous at anytime of year and our guests loved exploring the gardens and hall. We spent our wedding night in the beautiful bridal suite and waking up in the hall the following morning was such a special experience.

Everyone we worked with at Tissington was amazing. Cat and Bek gave us so much help leading up to the wedding and Gabi was with us every step of the way on the day itself - thank you everyone! The prep before and help on the day meant we felt so relaxed and could soak up every moment with our family and friends.

Thank you for an amazing day and Tissington will always hold a very special place in our hearts!

Wish we could do it all again!

We both got ready at the Carriage House before marring at St Mary's Church, with our reception in Tissington Hall, and evening celebrations in the Carriage House.
Tissington Weddings have been absolutely phenomenal from start to finish - and even after! We were lucky enough to have Lady Fiona show us around over a year and a half before our wedding and communication was superb throughout. We were amazed at how much of the Hall and grounds us and our guests would have access to and the price of the venue is such great value for money! We had looked around many other venues which were much dearer and less accommodating. Tissington Weddings not only ran with, but loved our ideas and nothing was ever too much trouble; welcoming the idea of us having a cocktail hour, insisting on our much loved Cocker Spaniel attend the reception, and ensuring bubbles and a moment together was available in those needed times, to name a few. Our Wedding Coordinator, Cat we cannot speak highly enough of! From the moment we met we knew we were in safe hands and yet she still exceeded our expectations, she was with us the whole day orchestrating each sequence of events subtly in the background, and always with a smile and helping hand. We must also thank the wider Tissington Team, Pippa and Ryan in particular who ensured all our guests were well cared for, had enthusiasm throughout, and gave us a laugh or two when they got involved in the photo booth! And if this wasn't all perfect enough, Sir Richard was kind enough to speak with us and our guests ensuring everyone had everything they needed. We have been so touched at how everyone at Tissington Hall has had a genuine interest and passion for ensuring we had the most spectacular day, exactly what we had envisioned, and hoped for.
We are so pleased that Tissington is not a 'wedding factory', you are warmly welcomed, listened to, and given amazing care and attention, we feel so to lucky to be one of their 2022 wedding couples.

Very special wedding venue

Tissington Hall is an extraordinarily special wedding venue. Photographs alone do not do it justice and viewing is essential. Lady Fiona and her team, in particular Cat and Gabi are so personable and care so deeply, they went above and beyond to make our day so special and we are so thankful.

Tissington Hall: 10/10 - simply perfect!

My wife and I had the most perfect wedding day imaginable which was all thanks to the team and wonderful suppliers at Tissington Hall! They looked after us so well from start to finish. The historic hall and grounds are simply breathtaking and were the ideal backdrop for our special day. 10/10! We would highly recommend Tissington Hall to any couples considering tying the knot. You will not be disappointed!
