About
Temple Newsam House and Estate is a wedding venue located in Leeds, West Yorkshire. This truly spectacular stately home dates back to the 1500s and is steeped in romance and history. Fittingly deserved as the Hampton Court of the North, this estate was the birthplace of Lord Darnley, husband of Mary, Queen of Scots. With a splendour of event spaces to choose from, Temple Newsam House and Estate welcome couples to add to its history.
Facilities and Capacity
This Tudor-Jacobean venue has three indoor event spaces to choose from. The Picture Gallery is perfect for a showstopping ceremony in one of our most picturesque rooms. If you prefer a more intimate setting, The Dining Room is ideal for quaint ceremonies with close friends and family. Our most popular option is our spacious Great Hall, with gorgeous views of our formal garden and a grand piano that’s free to use to make your ceremony all that more special. After the ceremony, you can celebrate in style with an elegant drinks reception or make your day truly unforgettable with a wedding breakfast in one of our spectacular rooms.
Once you've tied the knot, you can experience a one-of-a-kind photoshoot on the South Terrace that overlooks the park. During the summer months, you and your loved one can make the most of the outside grounds and central courtyard. Here, you can place gazebos or food trucks to banquet al fresco.
