The Venue

The Tan Hill Inn is the highest inn in the British Isles, at 1,732 feet or 528 metres above sea level. This 17th-century building was used as a hostelry by workers digging coal pits in the 18th century. The Inn offers its romantic and charming setting as a once-of-a-kind Yorkshire wedding and Swaledale wedding venue. Set in the picturesque Yorkshire Dales, your day will be truly magical.

Spaces

Located amid the beautiful gardens is the lovingly restored barn, welcoming you and your guests inside. It can accommodate up to 100 people for a sit-down meal. If you require more space for your guests, our permanent marquee adjoining the barn can take a party of up to 150 for your fabulous banquet.

Services

The Tan Hill Inn's barn has played host to greats like the Arctic Monkeys, The Levellers, and Mark Ronson. When beautifully adorned with flowers and set up to match your vision, your breath will be taken away. Table-service banquets, buffets, hog roasts, and cold sandwich platters can all be arranged to complement your special day.
