Built in 1881 in the Arts & Crafts style, the Abbey is set within 30 acres of sweeping lawns, woodland, and lakeside walks on the River Frome. Whether you're planning an intimate gathering or a full weekend house party, Rowden Abbey offers a uniquely private and unforgettable setting for your wedding.

Friday.

Arrive from 12 pm and be met by a glass of chilled bubbly, ready to meet your guests and start your celebrations. Up to 22 family and friends can stay at Rowden Abbey comfortably with you. We can also accommodate camping for further accommodations, subject to the owner's discretion.

Enjoy woodland walks, relax in the gardens, take part in a clay shoot on site, a yoga session, play croquet or tennis and if you want to, have our private chef tantalise your senses.

Saturday

You are getting married! Ceremony to be held elsewhere, we just love the local church!

A marquee will be erected for 100 guests on the croquet lawn.

Enjoy free use of one of our classic cars to and from your ceremony, from a 1926 Le Mans Bentley* to a Daimler Dart. *car is subject to own discretion.

Sunday

Enjoy the grounds, head out for a wander around the lake or just relax and reminisce about your big day, maybe while you nurse that sore head curled up on the sofa, in front of one of the many fires!

Accommodation

Stay the night before and after with your family and closest friends. Each of our eleven bedrooms retains its own character with William Morris wallpapers, carved fireplaces, and views across the grounds.

We also offer camping opportunities on-site, if desired. Subject to the owner's discretion, so please ask.
