Situated in Hereford, Herefordshire, Broadfield is a historic exclusive use country house and wedding venue. Set in beautiful gardens and grounds, the blossoming estate is nestled in the stunning Herefordshire countryside. Couples looking for an idyllic place to marry can tie the knot at Broadfield with a variety of locations both indoors and outdoors.
Facilities and Capacity
Broadfield's fold yard can cater for anything from a small gathering to over 150 guests. New for 2024, we now have the canopy in our fold yard included with all bookings, so that couples can have a wonderful ceremony whether rain or shine. Other beautiful outdoor locations for your ceremony are the rose garden, the lawns, or the woods. For wet weather, the fold yard canopy can have sides and seat up to 150, or the upper barn space can host ceremonies for up to 100, with its low beams perfect for decorating with foliage and fairy lights. For smaller ceremonies, Broadfield has two beautiful rooms within their house, the inner hall and the dining room. Their inner hall can host up to 50, while you can also enjoy the wood-panelled dining room with up to 60 friends and family members. For intimate celebrations, the summer house is also available for you and up to eight guests.
Your wedding breakfast and reception may be held in Broadfield's main house for smaller events of up to 50 people, or the upper barn can seat up to 75. The fold yard can seat between 80 and 100 for dining, dependent on layout. For over that number or for those wanting a different space, a tipi or marquee on the lawns is ideal, which can host up to 170 guests comfortably and can be chosen from any supplier to suit your style and budget. The beautiful rustic bar is included in the exclusive hire, situated between the fold yard and back lawns. In addition to these event spaces, the fire pits are also available to keep guests warm in winter or at night.
Services Offered
Broadfield has eight delightful bedrooms for your wedding party or guests to stay in comfortable and elegant surroundings. One of these bedrooms is an elegant suite, complete with a dressing room perfect for you and your party to get ready. Or if you need another bedroom, the team can convert that room into a ninth bedroom for guests. They are also able to provide put up beds and cots if needed. The team can also provide delicious, locally sourced food to your house guests or you can self cater. The Broadfield coach house is available to hire by couples or guests, with three more bedrooms, meaning the whole venue can sleep up to 31 people.
Catering
At Broadfield, you can choose from their carefully selected local Herefordshire caterers who will create delicious food for your big day, whether it be a formal three-course menu, a bespoke sharing experience, a relaxed barbeque or anything in between. If you want something different, you are welcome to use a caterer of your choice. You may also purchase alcohol from the venue's carefully chosen list, or you can supply your own with corkage applied, and the venue open the bar from any time for guests to buy their own drinks.

Our perfect woodland wedding
We had the most perfect wedding at Broadfield in July. Initially we fell in love with the gorgeous grounds which included the woodland, rose garden and many other spaces with gorgeous views all around. The house then offered many rooms which were decorated so tastefully and we thought it would suit all of our family (children and dogs included!).
When looking round Frances, Alex and the team were so helpful, welcoming and knowledgeable. They were also laid back and were able to create our own individual wedding. After looking round many venues, all of these points was the reason why we both immediately knew it was the venue for us.
The lead up to the wedding was smooth and organised. Frances and the team were there when we needed and Frances was able to share some great recommendations, we really knew we were in the best hands. We also loved the two open days, which made us super excited for the big day!
When it got to the weekend of the wedding, we arrived the Friday and could relax and set up with out nearest and dearest. Frances had organised suppliers to come when needed so and had been in touch with them, taking any extra stress of our hands. The big day came and Frances and the team ran everything so smoothly. We enjoyed every second and every one of our guests were blown away. It was really lovely having somewhere so unique and special.
We both 100% recommend having your wedding at Broadfield, it really was our perfect day.

Incredible personalised venue
We can’t recommend Broadfield enough, and are so happy we chose it as our wedding venue. You can really personalise your wedding, because you’re able to choose all of your own suppliers. Broadfield itself is absolutely stunning, both in terms of the Manor House and the gorgeous grounds too. It lends itself to any sort of wedding you like, to match your personality - from a woodland wedding, to a rose garden wedding or vows in front of a roaring fire - the list is endless! Mostly though, the owners couldn’t be more helpful, kind and understanding. We got to know them well, and could pick their brains on anything knowing they had so much experience - this further lends itself to making the day itself even more perfect and personal.

Professional and welcoming
We first went to a wedding fayre at Broadfield. From that first visit, we felt that it was going to be our place to get married. Fran, Helen, Alex and John have been overseeing our journey over 18 months. Leading up to the day, we had various visits to fine tune exactly what we wanted and Helen kept our wedding planner updated on a regular basis. To have the day before the wedding with close family & friends staying the night, was great and everyone that stayed enjoyed it. There are a few different places outside to get married and we settled for the rose garden. Except for a rain shower just as the bride was to make her appearance, the day could not have gone better. Everyone that attended, mentioned how fantastic the venue was. The staff were also very attentive throughout the day. From the start of our journey to leaving the day after, we have felt that we have been listened to and guided throughout the whole process. We will have endless memories to look back on and thank the Broadfield family, from the bottom of our hearts for such a magical time. #friendsfor life.

Stunning venue and amazing staff
Broadfield is a very special place and I couldn’t recommend it enough as a wedding venue. One of the wonderful things about it is that there are so many beautiful areas to get married, have your reception drinks or your wedding breakfast, that I imagine that no two weddings they host there are ever the same. The other wonderful thing is the staff. It’s run by a family whose care, attention, passion and hard work makes you feel like you’re the only couple they’re working with. The team they have working for them were all fantastic too.
We chose the venue because we wanted a marquee reception but also wanted accommodation and plenty of contingency plans so we didn’t need to worry about the weather. With spacious rooms downstairs in the house as well as a cosy bar area, your guests would still have a lovely time exploring the venue, even if you did have a rainy day. We were lucky and had sun and it was gorgeous. We got married in the fold yard and there were bees and butterflies busy in the lavender behind us. Our guests and us were in English countryside heaven for the weekend and will be thinking of an excuse to return at some point. Our only regret is not convincing the owners to let us stay the Sunday night too so we could have really savoured it.
It’s a stunning venue and you feel like you’re giving your guests a real treat. You also get a really professional, attentive and thorough coordinator who is with you every step during the planning stages.
Their recommended suppliers list is extensive and I would definitely trust and recommendation they gave.

The most perfect wedding venue!
Broadfield Court was the perfect venue for our countryside, wildflower-themed summer wedding.
Before finding Broadfield we'd looked at countless venues and none felt quite like us however as soon as we stepped inside Broadfield it felt right. From the beautiful house, and wonderful garden to the woodland area which was the ideal picturesque setting for our ceremony to take place - we were even treated to a visit from the cows in the neighbouring field! The venue is perfect for those who want to personalise their wedding and experience the wonders of the Herefordshire countryside.
Helen and all the staff at Broadfield were amazing - all our wishes were catered for and more, and the family-run approach gives the venue an extremely personal feel. Helen and the team were extremely organised and supportive throughout. We visited Broadfield multiple times - on open days and planning sessions which was very helpful to our planning.
A lovely feature was getting the venue from Friday to Sunday, it meant our wedding party and families could celebrate all together for an extraordinary weekend.
As you can book the house for weekends away we hope to be back one day - as we'll truly miss Broadfield. For anyone looking for the perfect venue for a picturesque British countryside wedding, we'd strongly recommend Broadfield.

What an absolutely stunning house...if you can call it that. Broadfield is so beautiful, old and rustic but modern where it matters. Frances and Alex were so so helpful, from the start to the end!

Relaxed, stylish venue in a stunning countryside setting. Incredible team!
We had our wedding here in October 2023 and it was such a wonderful experience! As soon as we arrived at Broadfield for our first visit, we knew it was the venue for us. It had such a friendly, warm atmosphere and an effortlessly stylish feel throughout. We could see how flexible it was as a venue (so many different ways to have your special day!). It is absolutely beautiful whilst remaining comfortable and relaxed, and really feels like a home from home.
Frances was accommodating and flexible, incredibly organised, and was open to all ideas. She thought of everything and ensured that we had the smoothest planning process possible. We loved working with Frances, Alex and the team, and can't stress enough how lovely and professional everyone is at Broadfield! The day itself was perfect, running seamlessly thanks to Fran and Alex, and we had so much fun from start to finish.
Being able to stay at Broadfield over the whole weekend with our closest friends and family made the experience even more special, allowing lots of time for set up and take down as well as relaxing and enjoying the beautiful house and grounds.

The venue of dreams!
When we started wedding planning, choosing a venue felt like a minefield. We wanted something where we could celebrate our own way. Broadfield was everything and more.
From the moment we contacted Broadfield we knew we were in safe hands. Fran took us through each step of the wedding planning, allowing us to explore how we wanted to celebrate our day, whilst always being on hand to provide advice. Broadfield allowed us to bring personal touches from bringing our own booze from our travels, having our dog by our side and most importantly, choosing food that suited our budget and our vibe without being pre-prescribed to us!
The venue itself is stunning and feels so unique. With so many options for ceremony, drinks, and dancing I'm 99% that every wedding at Broadfield is completely different to the ones before. Importantly, the venue also allowed for spaces where elderly relatives where able to take breaks through the day without them missing out. It really felt like home away from home.

I wish we could get married at Broadfield every weekend!
When we started looking for our wedding venue we knew exactly what we wanted but it wasn't easy to find. We were after somewhere we could make our own for the whole weekend, somewhere our close friends and family could stay with us, somewhere that would allow us to do our wedding our way. When we found Broadfield Court we both fell in love. The house and gardens are beautiful and it's in a stunning location. It's family owned and I think it really shows - right from the start it was clear that Fran puts so much effort into each and every wedding she helps to plan. She was friendly, welcoming, and amenable to all our ideas for our big day, offering suggestions for suppliers and going the extra mile to ensure our wedding weekend was everything we hoped it would be - nothing was too much trouble.
The wonderful thing about Broadfield is that it's a blank canvas (and a very beautiful one at that!). We were able to choose all our own suppliers and decide how we would like the weekend to go. For us this meant a relaxed pizza night with our friends on Friday, a woodland ceremony followed by lawn games and a drinks reception in the rose garden on Saturday afternoon, a band and dancing in our tipi until late, a fire drawing and sparklers in the fold yard, and a recovery BBQ on the lawn on Sunday.
Fran, Alex, and the rest of the Broadfield team were amazing. Everything went so smoothly and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect weekend. Many of our friends commented that it was the best wedding they'd ever been to and we would certainly agree!
I hope that Broadfield will feature in our anniversary/birthday/Christmas plans in years to come as it's a very special place and somewhere I would love to return to again and again.

Beautiful Broadfield Court
We celebrated our wedding in August 2023 at Broadfield Court and it was the most perfect day we could have dreamed of! My husband is a wedding photographer and after all the beautiful wedding venues he wanted to show me this venue first. When we saw it, we fell in love with it immediately and we didn’t need to look any further!
The venue itself felt like home and all of our guests commented on how beautiful the building and the grounds were. Helen and the team took care of us as if we were one of their own. They were professional, kind and courteous from start to finish. We honestly cannot recommend this beautiful place highly enough! If you are considering getting married, please visit Broadfield, you won’t be disappointed!

Blown away
Wow, what a 4 day weekend! I cannot recommend this venue enough. We had the most incredible bespoke wedding; Fran was so open to our ideas, organised, lovely and on it. This venue allows you to do what you want with no set suppliers, and you get your own fantastic wedding planner thrown in! We didn't want the weekend to end. Thank you so much Fran & team - you are superb.

The most wonderful experience
We fell in love with Broadfield immediately. It is about 5 venues in one - gorgeous house, beautiful grounds, secluded woodland, rustic barn, party bar... Fran, Alex and their team encouraged all of our crazy ideas and helped create the most special and personalised day for us. Having the exclusive use venue for a few days meant we could spend more time celebrating without ever feeling rushed. Every one of our guests was blown away - we cannot thank them enough.

Truly beautiful wedding venue!
Broadfield was the first venue we visited and the search for the perfect wedding venue was over. We instantly fell in love with the charming interior, and breathtaking grounds.
The wedding planning process was extremely smooth and stress free, Fran was very attentive, and talked us through our multiple options on how our wedding day could pan out. You can really tailor your wedding day to your unique style. We chose to have a woodland ceremony, drinks reception in the rose garden, and hired two tipis for the lawn which created a perfect space for dining & dancing, enjoying garden games and trips to the Broadfield bar for refreshments! The day ran like clockwork and the Broadfield team were always on hand if we needed anything.
Our guests were as much in awe of the venue as we were, and we received so many comments on how beautiful our wedding was. We stayed at Broadfield from Friday to Sunday which elongated our wedding to a whole weekend. We loved the fact we had accommodation for all of our immediate family and also our spaniels!

The most incredible setup and stunning setting for a weekend wedding, family-owned Broadfield has such a personal feel yet professional execution!
Having been to see a few venues, we found everything so commercial that could fit over 150 people and had just about decided we would try and do something at home. Then we came across Broadfield, walked in and chatted to Fran and the team, and it was immediately obvious this was the place and the people! The smoothest process of planning, brainstorming and running on the day - so many guests commented on what an incredible hidden gem Broadfield is and asked how we found it. The house is amazing, though the gardens equally so, we had a June wedding and spent almost all our time outside but inside is also gorgeous for a colder season! All the rooms and unique and beautiful too. Couldn’t recommend it as a venue and team highly enough .. we’ll probably rent it for a future anniversary party just to be able to spend more time there!
