Hi, I'm Simon, based in Bideford- Devon, I'm married and have 2 daughters. I create authentic images for weddings across the South West and beyond. I love wedding photography and it will show not only in the final product but throughout your day; one of the most common features in reviews and comments is how much not only couples but guests loved my involvement and interaction in their day. That's a really important part of my service, I won't just be your photographer, I'll be guiding you through the day and will be focused on giving your guests an amazing experience.

As both an extrovert and a creative, I consider photography as my language. I'm energised by the people I work with - I love getting to know you, your family and friends and capturing moments that are meaningful to you. My goal when you work with me is to help you feel confident and comfortable in front of my camera.
Everyone deserves to have beautiful photos taken of themselves and genuinely enjoy the experience.
l'd describe my photography as creative yet authenic. I develop an enjoyable and relaxed environment by providing a mix of prompts and poses unique to each client.
My editing is enhanced-true-to-colour. I want to elevate, not alter the colours you've selected for your wedding day.
My most comprehensive package features full-day coverage (I often stays until 11:00pm) with documentary and traditional-style photography; all images are developed in both timeless colour and classic black and white and delivered on a USB as well as an online gallery. Packages range from £800-£1500 plus as I've had the pleasure of photographing some truly original weddings (e.g. whole weekend festival style when I've stayed the night, multi-day Indian weddings and tiny elopement style weddings with just two guests), I therefore offer a bespoke service in order that I can provide you the very best coverage of your wedding. If you've got a particular budget in mind- I can quickly tell you what I can do for you.
I will be bringing my 360 camera, Go-Pro and drone to your wedding*. We can use the fun cameras to record your ceremony from the registrar's table, attach it to the groom, put it on your dog's collar, stick it on a selfie stick, ask a flower girl or pageboy to go around interviewing your guests and even strap it to a bottle of whisky in the evening and have it passed around. What ideas have you got?
I will use the drone to take stunning videos to contextualise your wedding. Perhaps starting off looking at the two of you before flying up and off over fields or the sea (or photographs of the two of you dancing from above). I'm excited and inspired by the possibilities of this new tech.

Platinum: groom/bridal prep, leave 11pm ish. Titanium: I stay v late but miss the prep. Gold: groom/bridal prep to 1hr-ish after 1st dance. Silver: half a day. Plus bespoke options. Details on my site
How far in advance should I contact you?
I think contacting photographers should be number 2 on your list, so as soon as you've found your venue I'd love to hear from you
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?

Yes, the South West usually but if you've got an exciting proposal in mind please get in contact as I can always stay the night before and or after your day

I'm friendly (occasionally sarcastic) and I'll get to know you and your guests and because of that everyone drops their guard and photographs are natural; it will feel like I'm a guest not a supplier

I use Nikon cameras: Z9, Z8 with prime lenses (these fast lenses offer the very best quality and allow me to blur out the background for that gorgeous creamy look we all love)
Do you offer any tool to display the photos online?
Yes, i use Pixieset for you to share images whilst the USB packed full of images works its way to you in the post

Couldnt ask for a better photographer! Please, get him for your wedding - you won't regret it!
Simon has been amazing ever since, from start (inquiry) til the end (pictures being sent) has been amazing! He was very responsive to our queries, has been very accommodating to our requests( my vision and ideas for the wedding pics), is a good sport!(you can actually have a banter with him), chats and tries to mingle with everyone(friendly not flirting hehe) and has a creative way of taking pictures. (my wife's nan actually loved him! they danced at the very end of the party which everyone was so happy about!)
He is very easy to talk to, and gives alot of suggestions (good ones) how would the day flow, what can be the next steps, and goes above and beyond for the pics!
i would suggest to whoever will be booking him, research your poses,pictures,styles, of your wedding photoshoot, and simon will bring it to life 10x more than what you can imagine. Not just a photographer- the best photographer!
Simon makes you feel like you’ve known him for years. A truly amazing chap who takes the photos as you want them plus he comes up with fabulous ideas. He has a great eye for detail and captures the best memories. We are simply over the moon with our pictures of our best day and so pleased Simon was there to share it with us.

No words!!
Myself and my husband are not the posing couple, we spent the majority of our day smiling and laughing. This did not phase Simon in the slightest, he worked with us as us and not as two professional models, we have some beautiful candid shots that we didn’t even realise were being taken and they are beyond beautiful! Our entire party and all guests felt so incredibly comfortable with him, bantered with him and enjoyed his company.
We didn’t feel like we’d hired a photographer, we felt like he was a guest celebrating our day with us which made us feel even more comfortable around him and the camera.
Simon had unique ideas throughout the day which has resulted in some amazing and fun photos.
Both our dads gave a speech which they were incredible nervous for, Simon helped to ease their nerves and even gave badges to them afterwords - my dads is proudly displayed in his house.
We also have a son (9 months old at the time of the wedding) and Simon was so wonderful with him, engaging with him and talking to him and going at his pace when it came to the photos and recognising when he was getting upset or had enough of photos which meant a lot to us!
I cannot recommend Simon enough (and Miles - videographer) they really made our day so incredibly special and told our story perfectly.
We will forever be grateful they were part of our day xx

The perfect photographer does exist!
We couldn't be happier with our experience with Simon as our wedding photographer. My (now) husband is a true introvert—he dislikes being photographed, avoids small talk like the plague, and generally prefers the company of our dog. Somehow, Simon managed to change that just for the day—and with a camera in hand, no less!
From the very start, communication was flawless. Simon immediately got what we were going for: a relaxed, natural, and intimate elopement ceremony in Devon, just us, a handful of our favourite humans, and Bella (our dog, who is basically our furry child). He made us feel so comfortable, it was like having a very talented friend with a camera—who just happens to know exactly how to capture the perfect moment without making it feel posed or awkward.
What truly surprised us was how much fun we had. Simon didn’t just take photos—he suggested little games, got us laughing, and somehow made even the most camera-shy among us (looking at you, husband) forget that a lens was pointing at them. We didn’t just survive the photo session—we actually enjoyed it!

Best Photographer Ever!
We had Simon capture our wedding on the 20th May and what an incredible job he did!
From our very first conversation, right through to our wedding day and even after the day itself, Simon has always been super helpful in answering any questions we had and was always there when we needed him.
Not only was his professionalism next level, but so was his personality. He’s such a fun person to be around and you’ll immediately be put at ease from the moment you meet him on the day.
He’s hilarious, kind, so easy to work with and made such an effort to get everyone involved. At one point after the breakfast was served we had a bit of a down time, and off went Simon to get a skipping rope from his car, which immediately got everyone involved once again and created such unforgettable memories. All of our friends and family still can’t stop talking about the amazing experience they had with him on the day.

A perfect photographer for our perfect day
We were immediately drawn to Simon’s professional yet relaxed attitude to wedding photography. His website was thorough and showcases some beautiful images. When we made our initial enquiry with him, we clicked, and we shared stories of attending Glastonbury over the years! We felt that he would be a good fit for our day, and we were right! Everyone on the day complimented how great he was. He had a calming attitude and offered guidance and support, and was happy to answer any questions that we had along the way. We were so glad to meet with him a few months before the wedding to discuss the finer details and have some pre-wedding shots taken. This helped us understand certain direction and what sorts of things would be expected on the day. Simon offered great advice which we were so grateful for.
The images are vast and beautiful. Our Perfect Day

The prefect day!
Simon captured our day perfectly! We were both very relaxed and unsure of what sort of photos we wanted so we let Simon take the rains and we were not disappointed. Every single photo was amazing, all 1,215 of them!!
Simon put us at ease as soon as he arrived and had us all laughing. He helped us to get photos that summed up our day perfectly and I will forever be grateful for him for giving us the best photos of the best day of our lives!

‘The Greatest Day Of Our Lives’
Wow!!! We have just received our wedding photos and we are absolutely overwhelmed with how they have turned out.
Simon truly does capture every detail, and I mean EVERY detail and really does care about what he does. The final picture was as important to him as it was to us and you can really tell how passionate he is about his profession. We got married at a venue where there wasn’t many opportunities for intimate photos. Simon was only too happy to take us off site to capture us having a moment to ourselves. It really was worth it and we are so glad we went off and did that.
He was there for us through every moment of our wedding day, offering us any advice and support he could. We could not have got through the day without him. We were surprised to be sent a selection of sneak peak photos the very next morning which we were so happy with. That made us more excited about seeing the final collection!

Incredible wedding photographer
Simon was great from the get go, we had a chat on the phone and he instantly put me at ease and gave me a feel for his personality and photography style. He was always very quick to respond to any queries and very friendly. On the day he brought great energy, spoke to all the guests, helped out with anything he could and gave great advice. The photos turned out beautifully and we love having them up in our home, they really capture the day perfectly. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Simon!

What can we say about Simon....
From the very first enquiry on the phone, to our first meet & greet (in the pub!!) piror to the big day, he made us feel so relaxed. (even though, supporting a black eye when we first met.....we liked to set you a challange :-) )
On the wedding day, his approach, agian was fantastic and our guests mentioned how amazing he was with them. The end result was some truly magical photos, which now have pride and place around our home and shared with family and friends.
As others have already said, It felt like he had become our friend by the end of it and we will genuinely miss him too....
If you are still looking for a wedding photographer, then stop seraching and get in contact with Simon, we could not recommend him enough.
