As a family we were exceptionally impressed with the whole wedding experience offered by Minterne right from the first meeting more than a year in advance of the big day. Over the next year the communication and organisation were faultless. Minterne work in partnership with a small group of trusted providers which gave us significant confidence in what would be and indeed was provided. For example, my daughter was marrying a Muslim doctor and this necessitated the food being halal. The catering company had the ability to source high quality ingredients making this element a huge success.
There is no doubt Minterne has the wow factor and our friends and family reflected this in their feedback with many saying they had not been to a more spectacular setting. One of the attractions for us was availability of rooms on site that allowed close family to stay for two nights (up to eight rooms) with the option for hiring other buildings on the estate if so desired. The quality of the breakfasts offered both on the morning of the wedding and the day after were very good.
The actual day itself was fantastic and ran so smoothly. The summer of 2025 was a fine one but sadly this did not extend into the early part of September. Although we had initially hoped to have the ceremony on the lawn overlooking the lake, the fact we had the ceremony in the main building did not detract one bit from the overall experience. We felt very guided and supported during the day and all the suppliers were excellent. We also welcomed the option of providing our own drinks (as long as we disposed of the empty bottles the next day.
In summary as a family we could not recommend Minterne too highly. Our gut feeling that the setting would provide something special was proved to be correct and the support and organisation during the actual weekend was consistent with this too.Minterne House's reply:

Minterne House was the most extraordinary setting for our wedding in May! The historic home and the beautiful gardens truly set the tone that we desired for our special day. We stayed in the house for a few days and it was so amazing to wake up in the gorgeous bedrooms; our extended family also stayed in the cottages on the property and raved about them. In addition, the staff was incredibly helpful and responsive; we are from New York City and they made planning from abroad very easy. I HIGHLY recommend Minterne House for a wedding, our guests were blown away and we will never forget our special day at the home.Minterne House's reply:

We cannot recommend Minterne House enough as a perfect wedding venue! Emily and the team were so so helpful from start to finish, from the first call we had with her we just knew how great she was going to be to work with! Throughout the wedding weekend she was there for anything we needed and we truly know our weekend would not have gone as perfectly and smoothly as it did without Emily!
Minterne is such a gorgeous venue, we have had endless compliments from our guests about how beautiful a backdrop the house is for a wedding weekend. Having the house to yourself for the full weekend meant we could start the celebrations early on Friday with all of our guests, and we had so many of our loved ones staying in the house and on the grounds.
It really was a perfect weekend and we can't thank Emily, The Digby family and the whole team and Minterne enough !!!Minterne House's reply:

As a Minterne Magna girl myself, I truly couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else. Our day was an absolute dream from start to finish. Emily was incredible—calm, reassuring, and endlessly accommodating. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and she made the months leading up to the wedding, as well as the day itself, feel effortless. Honestly couldn’t recommend Minterne house enough from start to finish they were perfect, I felt at ease with Emily from the off and she helped plan our day and sorted timelines and dealt with our vendors for us which helped to ease the stress.Our day truly was our fairly tail and more and the bonus feeling like a princess having private use of the house the whole weekend. The grounds and venue have given us the most perfect photos and memories to treasure forever and all our guest couldn’t believe how beautiful it all was.
If you are thinking of Minterne for your day DO IT !!!!

Minterne House was the perfect backdrop to our fairytale autumn wedding. Having the venue for the entire weekend made the experience truly special — many of our family and friends were able to stay, and we spent the Friday setting up together before relaxing and enjoying the beautiful facilities of the estate, including the pool, hot tub, and gardens. That evening we shared dinner and drinks, which made it feel as though the celebrations had already begun.
The wedding day itself was absolutely exquisite, and we received so many compliments from our guests on how stunning the venue was.
A special thank you to Emily, the coordinator at Minterne, who was a joy to work with from start to finish. From our very first meeting she made us feel welcome and completely at ease, always going above and beyond to accommodate our every need. She was present throughout the weekend and ensured everything ran seamlessly on the day itself.
