From start to finish, we truly couldn’t fault the service. From our very first meeting through to our perfect wedding day, everything was handled with care and attention. We had several meetings leading up to the day to ensure every detail was exactly as we wanted, and any questions we had were always answered promptly via email. For the price we paid, the level of service we received was second to none. Maisie went above and beyond to make sure I felt completely at ease on the day. She took so much pressure off me by handling last-minute details, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Most importantly, she was always approachable, supportive, and reassuring. The food… wow! Our guests are still talking about how incredible it was. I can be quite particular, and we made a few changes and additions to the menu, but everything was accommodated without hesitation. The team genuinely cared about making sure we had the best possible experience. We will absolutely be returning for meals, along with many of our guests. The hotel grounds are stunning—perfect for a relaxing or romantic meal by the river, with amazing views of the cathedral. If we could do it all again, we wouldn’t change a single thing—except maybe to make the day last a little longer! We couldn’t recommend The Rose and Crown enough. A true 10/10 experience.

We were so please with how our wedding went, the staff were so helpful from the minute we arrived at the hotel, they couldn't do enough for us. The rooms were to a good high standard, and the wedding food was 5 star with plenty for the wedding breakfast and evening. There was plenty of prosecco, and bottle beer after the wedding ceremony for guests and plenty of wine on the wedding breakfast tables. Disco in the evening was fantastic getting guests up to dance. I can't thank the staff enough for making our wedding amazing and special. We can't thank Reece enough for all is help from the minute we arrived until we left the venue. Thank you so much to the Red Lion Hotel, we are both so grateful.

We got married here in October 2024 and cannot fault a single thing. From the start of the process right to the finish, they covered everything. I had books of questions to ask that I didn't even need to open because they knew everything already. The venue was beautifully decorated by Sharon who couldn't have been more perfect for the job. Jason and Chelsea were a dream team making the day faultless, everything ran to time and no-one had to worry about anything. They had super powers behind the scenes that made it run seamlessly. Nothing was too much for them. They just know their stuff entirely. Communication was spot on with regular meetings keeping them up to date and questions answered. The food was incredible, allergies/preferences catered for really well and the care and love from the whole team from bar to reception was warm and welcoming. The venue had so many good photo spots, especially in the autumn with the leaves. All pf the staff from bar staff, cleaners and reception were so friendly and assertive. We honestly couldn't recommend them more, the whole experience has been simply beautiful and we will be forever grateful for their support with our special day. Thank you guys! 💒👰🏽🤵‍♂💍

It all started with an hello and a laugh I met the most loveliest kind heart girl I’ve ever met🥰 Courtney was such a delight to be around helped with absolutely everything made sure I was happy and comfortable with everything and the staff at the Stones Hotel were angels truly was there from start to finish yet no one noticed them just made my evening a night to remember I would highly recommend going to The Stones Hotel you will be looked after in the best way and stress free which every bride needs on her special day💗
