It's Full Of History

Hinckley's history dates all the way back to the Iron Age, with evidence of settlement from that time discovered in 2000. It's name is Anglo-Saxon, coming from the personal name 'Hinck' combined with 'ley', meaning meadow. In the 17th century, it became prominent for its hosiery industry, which continued to thrive for several centuries. It boasts an award-winning 700 year-old market, as well as many beautiful historic buildings, fascinating museums, and a battlefield from the War of the Roses.

It's Easy To Access

Conveniently located, it's easy to get onto the M1, M6, and A5 from Hinckley. It also features a centrally located train station.

There's Lots To See And Do

Your guests will find plenty to amuse themselves in Hinckley. They can take a peaceful stroll through beautiful Burbage Common and Woods, or visit the many independent boutiques on the city's main thoroughfare.
