This private estate, nestled on the North Devon coast, offers all the spaces you need for a romantic ceremony and unforgettable reception. Tie the knot in the apple orchard, surrounded by lush greenery, with a shimmering pond as your backdrop. If you’re hoping for an intimate elopement or vow renewal, you can rent this haven just for your ceremony, with up to 16 guests. While you pose for photos around the serene grounds with your beloved, guests can enjoy cocktail hour under the Celebration Tipi. This beautiful tipi is custom-made with weatherproof materials and features enough room for a bar, your wedding entertainment, and a dance floor. You can style the space to perfectly complement your wedding theme. Dine under the stars or under the Celebration Tipi, and then dance the night away with up to 150 of your nearest and dearest. If your guests prefer to stay onsite, four additional glamping tipis, two meadows for tents and campervans, and a holiday barn are ready to host.

The most magical day!
The venue itself is absolutely stunning. Set in beautiful surroundings, Harta Retreat has a unique charm and atmosphere that made our wedding feel truly special. Every part of the retreat is thoughtfully designed, creating a relaxed, welcoming, and magical setting for both us and our guests.
The owners, Miranda and Aaron, were fantastic throughout the whole process. From the moment we met them, they went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. Their, kindness, and genuine care shone through at every stage. Even when the weather threatened to derail our plans, they remained calm, supportive, and incredibly helpful, ensuring our day was still everything we had hoped for.
The torrential rain may not have been part of our dream wedding vision, but thanks to Miranda, Aaron, and the beautiful surroundings of Harta Retreat, our memories are filled with joy rather than disappointment. In many ways, the weather simply highlighted how special the venue and its team really are.

The most beautiful location
Aaron and Miranda are the loveliest and most helpful people ever. Right from the start they have been accommodating and understanding, have helped us every step of the way (from trying out table layouts with us to 'helping' us try different Proseccos!) but have also been very good at letting us plough ahead with some of our madder plans.
On the day, they were unbelievably good at being around to assist and run the behind-the-scenes stuff smoothly while artfully dodging the spotlight. We know just how much they were managing at one time, and it was impressive! They were incredibly kind to us when we were stressed, both before and after.
The tipis were super comfortable and luxurious - my Grandma who was quite nervous about staying in a tent ended up having a lovely time. We got a lot of use from the massive bath and the coffee maker. There was enough accommodation to host most of our families onsite, which was a huge bonus for us.
The main event tipi was unbelievably gorgeous. Everyone who entered was shocked! It was perfect for hosting the meal, and then flexible enough to host a very clumsy ceilidh afterwards. It gave very strong fairytale/fantasy vibes, and our pictures have turned out so beautifully. We couldn't be more pleased with our whole experience.
