Set in the heart of Eastbourne, East Sussex, Gildredge Manor is a stunning Grade II listed Georgian Manor house with over 250 years of history. Elegant but never formal, the Manor has a wonderfully warm, homely atmosphere that makes couples and their guests feel instantly at ease.

When you choose Gildredge Manor, the house is exclusively yours for your celebration. You have the freedom to enjoy the beautiful rooms, gardens and outdoor spaces and make the day exactly what you want it to be — without the feeling of being in a large, impersonal wedding venue.

A Manor that's completely yours

There are two licensed ceremony rooms, as well as the option of a beautiful garden ceremony, with ceremonies for up to 100 guests. The Long Gallery provides an elegant setting for your wedding breakfast for up to 100 guests, with space for up to 150 guests in the evening.

Throughout the Manor, you'll find rooms filled with natural light, original period features and individual character — from the Garden Room and Double Drawing Room, with its lounge bar and games room, to the Gentlemen's Library, Ladies' Morning Room and beautiful Bride's Dressing Room.

Outside, our private gardens provide plenty of space for drinks, photographs, relaxing and garden games — giving your guests room to enjoy themselves while you make the most of the Manor.

More than one way to celebrate

Not every couple wants a traditional all-day wedding — and that's where Gildredge Manor is different.

You can choose from:

• The Full Gildredge Manor Wedding – your whole wedding day, with access from 8am, day-before set-up, ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening party.

• The Gildredge Reception – get married elsewhere and then have the full Manor and gardens exclusively for your reception.

• The Gildredge Twilight Wedding – a late-afternoon ceremony followed by drinks, canapés, food and a brilliant evening party.

• Daytime Weddings – a smaller, relaxed celebration for up to 60 guests, finishing by 6pm.

• The Gildredge Evening Celebration – simply have the party with all the focus on fun.

• The Gildredge Ceremony – a beautiful ceremony followed by drinks, photographs and time to celebrate together.

And if none of these quite fits, we're always happy to create something bespoke around you and the way you want to celebrate.

Relaxed, personal and beautifully organised

We believe your venue should make things easier, not more complicated. We, the owners, and our experienced Event Manager and friendly team are there to help with planning and to make sure everything runs smoothly on the day, while still allowing you to make all the important choices yourself.

For full weddings and receptions we offer day-before access, so you can decorate and prepare at your own pace. We also provide planning advice and introduce you to our carefully selected catering partners and other suppliers, while giving you the flexibility to choose the food, drinks and entertainment that suit you.
