Country Wedding Venues in Shrewsbury

A bit late for writing this review, so sorry!! Thank you so much to Paul and Emma and helping us plan and hosting our dream wedding. The venue is so beautiful, quiet and just what we wanted. After a week of rain before the wedding, we had glorious weather, but we still opted to get married inside. The room was beautifully decorated. Emma and Paul saw our vision and helped us create it, and we couldn’t fault it, and well within our budget! The food was exceptional! Most of us stayed the night before, so we r started with breakfast - which was bought up to the room for myself and bridesmaids. We ordered sandwiches for guests before the ceremony, a 3 course dinner after the ceremony and a BBQ for our evening reception, followed by breakfast again the following morning. The staff were also exceptional, they looked after us from start to finish. Emma and Paul answered all our questions quickly and put our minds at ease. The entire wedding journey, from the moment we were shown around, to booking the date, to the actual day and day after and all in between, was done with ease, professionalism and kindness. Emma listened to what we wanted and came back quickly with quotes and pictures, once we decided what we wanted, she went ahead and booked everything. The day went smoothly and was effortless, it was a beautiful day! Nothing went wrong (apart from me leaving the flower girl dresses at home and a mad morning dash for the groom back home to collect them) it was a fabulous day! We loved every minute. Hi Hannah just wanted to say thank you for everything you helped us with on lead up and on the wedding day. Richard and the whole team made sure everything ran smoothly and went above and beyond to make sure me my husband and all our guest were happy and well looked after can u tell them all thank you. Also the upgrade to the master suit was just the cherry on the top of a absolute fantastic day thank you very much hoping to stay there again for our anniversary kind regards Mr & Mrs Butter We're planning to come back to Hawkstone soon to say a proper one, but in the meantime... THANK YOU! We had a wonderful day and have had nothing but compliments since on what a brilliant wedding it was. These compliments really should go to you and all the staff at Hawkstone. We were so impressed by Mike, Hayley, Howard and everyone that played their part. The little touches like offering to take nan back to the hotel in a buggy after the reception (and my exhausted wife!!) meant a lot. Hopefully catch you when we pop back soon. This quaint little wedding venue in the rolling Shropshire hills is an absolute delight. From the first time we saw it we knew that this is where we were going to get married. The setting is spectacular. Having three different rooms with different things going on and the beautiful courtyard made sure that every guest was catered for. Jade and her team were fabulous, they dressed the whole venue perfectly! On the day they couldn't have been any more helpful, making sure that everything was just right and making sure that everyone was happy. They went above and beyond right up until the last guest left. We are truly grateful for the effort that they all put into making our special day perfect! Thank you From the bottom of our hearts 💕

From the very first moment we met Janet and Keith, right through to the morning after our wedding when everything was cleared away, they poured so much love, care, and passion into every detail. They don’t just help you plan a wedding—they give you the confidence to dream big and make it completely your own. Every wild idea I had, from bringing my horse to celebrating with colour cannons, was met with encouragement and genuine excitement. But what makes this place even more special is Janet and Keith themselves. You don’t just book a venue—you gain two incredible friends who are with you every step of the way, sharing in the joy of your journey. The venue is breathtaking beyond words. Nestled in the most stunning surroundings with views that honestly take your breath away, it feels magical from every angle. I was lucky enough to have three whole days to set up, and each evening, as I finished, I sat quietly outside the front just soaking it all in. That moment of stillness, that feeling of peace—you won’t find that anywhere else. Every single one of my guests commented on how beautiful and unique the venue is. You have the freedom to make it completely your own, but the truth is, it’s already so perfect that it hardly needs anything at all. This wasn’t just a venue for us—it was the heart of our wedding, the place where memories were made that I will treasure forever.
