Balmer Lawn and Team were absolutely amazing. We had our day on the 31st March 2024 and despite it being Easter Sunday, we had the full attention of the wedding team.

We went with the Everything but the Dress package and could not fault it, the suppliers were all there for us so we didn't have to go looking and vetting anyone as we knew they would know the venue like the back of their hand and be able to advise on the best course of action for all of my many ideas.

Sam and Jo executed my decor and flower arrangements better than I could have imagined and Lindsay (our coordinator for the day in Ruths absence) was so incredibly helpful, my bridal party had nothing but amazing things to say and she was great at accommodating us with any requests we had!
Big compliments to the staff I didn't get to interact with directly but the way the day was so flawlessly carried out, we can tell everyone works well together and know what they’re doing.

The food was incredible, everyone was so impressed with the gourmet menu and the evening buffet - I cant say anyone went hungry or thirsty that night!
The DJ (Alan) was fantastic and got our “cheese-y” theme entirely, and the Photographer Kimberley was extremely professional and kind throughout the day ensuring my shot list was carried out completely.

Sorry for the few glasses we ended up breaking throughout the night, thank for your understanding and for your hospitality we’re so glad you were the venue we went with (after touring all of 1 venue!) we knew you’d be able to provide us with the wedding we dreamed of!

We booked Balmer Lawn after losing faith in our previous venue. Thankfully our faith was restored once we’d met with Balmer Lawn and Ruth. We took on an inclusive package to include some suppliers. All of our guests had great feedback from the day and we were really happy with everything.

We booked Balmer Lawn for our October wedding and it’s one of the best decisions we made. Constantly supported by Ruth all throughout the planning process it was all made so stress free and relaxed. We booked the Everything but the Dress Package which was genius as it came with an incredible team of suppliers who created the most amazing day and the whole experience was so enjoyable and not in the slightest stressful as some of our friends have experienced planning their weddings! We can’t wait to come back for our anniversary stay!!

From the minute we met Ruth and the team we received excellent service. The team were so friendly and always there to help us. We cannot thank them enough and we would not hesitate to recommend to others for their big day. All our family expressed what a beautiful venue and the most amazing day. And we owe our thanks to all the professional team.

We booked the entire hotel for our big 10yr wedding anniversary bash and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice. The staff and especially Ruth our events manager were so attentive and made us feel so special. As an event manager myself I feel that I am quite the control freak and find it difficult to relinquish control so well done Balmer Lawn and the entire team for arranging the most fantastic party. We will be booking our 20yr party with you!

We booked a couple of activites for the day before the wedding, me and 13 of our friends and family had a lovely relaxing spa day and amazing lunch. Treatments were perfect and was completely relaxed by the end of it and ready for the big day.

We couldn’t have asked for more from Balmer Lawn for our wedding day. The venue is beautiful, the staff couldn’t do enough for you and we would recommend to anyone. Ruth supported and reassured us every step of the way which relieved so much stress and the Everything hit the Dress Package made planning so easy! We can’t wait to come back!

From the moment we visited Balmer Lawn for a show round with Ruth, we knew it was the place to have our special day. Visiting one of the incredible wedding showcases and seeing the space set up as a beautiful wedding setting and being able to meet and speak to all the recommended suppliers made us even more secure in this decision.
We booked the Everything But The Dress package and were incredibly surprised at the value, convenience how much we could personalize the package to make the wedding of our dreams. We came across no other venues offering such a package, and cannot recommend it enough.
Meetings and communication with Ruth and the weddings team was so easy, with us feeling genuinely cared for and listened to every step along the way. We loved being able to meet up at the hotel to chat through plans and decisions, and also being able to visit on showcase days where we knew all our suppliers would be in one place. This made planning so easy, and took so much of the stress out of the wedding preparation process.
When our big day came around, from the moment myself and my bridal party arrived at the hotel the day before we were treated with so much care and made to feel so at ease. We were able to set things up in the wedding space, and start to see everything coming together. We then had dinner in The Lodge which was second to none – special thanks to our waiter Hilton who went above and beyond to cater for one of my bridesmaids dietary requirements, and sourced me a sausage to burry to give us good luck with the weather (which turned out perfect!). Also special thanks to Kiaran behind the bar who made us all the most incredible espresso martini shots, which even now people are taking about how good they were!
Our wedding day itself was perfect in every way, even down to the rain stopping just as the bridal party were just about to walk down the aisle. The pavilion and Beaulieu Room were both stunning, and our guests loved the garden games set up to play with throughout the day. The food and the service from the banqueting team with it were outstanding, and we had so many comments about the amazing quality of all of the food served. Special thanks to Briony and Sam who waited on us and the top table – they both made us feel so special.
We cannot recommend Balmer Lawn, and the EBTD package enough. All the people we worked with, be this at the hotel or the suppliers we have through the package were beyond compare, and all helped us bring our dream wedding to life. Thank you again to anyone and everyone who was involved with The Barton Wedding – you are all superstars. We’re so sad it’s all over now, but we cannot wait to see our stunning photos, and come back next year to celebrate our 1st anniversary!

We were married at Balmer Lawn this May and we literally couldn’t have asked for more. From the moment we first visited the hotel we knew it was for us. Ruth the wedding planner was key in our experience and is an asset to the venue. We booked the Everything but the Dress package which came with a team of suppliers and made life incredible easy! From start to finish Ruth was amazing at planning our Wedding at the Balmer Lawn Hotel. Our Wedding day was perfect.

We chose this venue after only 1 viewing and knew this was the place we wanted to tie the knot.

Ruth was amazing anwsering my million and one small, probably silly questions I threw at her all time and really put me at ease.

We booked our venue 2 and a half years ago, so when we finally had our big day (17th May 2024) it was well worth the wait.

The night before Adam in the team was helping us with setting up, checking the music and generally being a star. The night of the wedding, Adam, again being the star he was, helped us carry everything up to our room that was valuable and all through the day was just so smiley and friendly.

The whole team at Balmer Lawn were incredible and I would highly recommend. We were lucky enough to have an outdoor ceremony and couldn't have been better.

We booked the everything but the dress package. Everything about this package was customisable and we were able to make a day that was completely ours. It was beautiful. Ruth, Charlotte, Lindsey, Emily, Adam, Luke, Briony, Ashley and Kathryn all worked so hard all day to make our day gorgeous. Everything went so smoothly, and even when we had to make changes during the day, the team seamlessly supported and arranged accordingly. Us and our guests loved every single detail. Special thank you to Ruth who co-ordinated everything to perfection.

Balmer Lawn's 'Everything But the Dress' package cinched our wedding venue decision. We knew it would prevent a lot of stress and time researching suppliers.

Balmer Lawn has a separate wing for weddings, so that you and your guests are separated from the rest of the hotel and general hotel guests but still have access to all of its facilities. We loved the feel and the setting. They have a gate close to this wing which provides access to the neighbouring field. Perfect for photos.

Sadly, health issues meant we had to change the original date for our wedding but the team were amazing, they were flexible and able to help us change our plans and communicated with the suppliers for us.

The suppliers they have are amazing and the day was magical.
