Meet the team
Hey, I’m Vix – the face behind VP Photographer, lead photographer, moment catcher, and your biggest supporter from the very first chat to the final gallery.
Based in Worthing, I photograph weddings across West Sussex, East Sussex, and wherever your story leads. I’ve been a photographer for over 12 years, and I’ve been happily married for nearly 20 – so I know just how important it is to feel present in every moment, and how powerful it is to have those memories captured honestly and beautifully.
At home, life is full – in the best way – with two brilliant teenagers, two slightly bonkers dogs, and my two trusty Nikon Z6iii cameras, which are basically part of the family by now!
In fact, my own wedding experience is exactly why I do what I do.
When I got married, I didn’t love my wedding photos – and that was heartbreaking. From the awkward angles and poor lighting to the stand-offish attitude of the photographer, it all felt disconnected from who we were. It made us uncomfortable on a day that should’ve been filled with ease and joy, and looking back, not having those meaningful images to treasure is something I’ll always feel sad about. That experience has shaped everything about how I approach weddings – and why I care so much about doing things differently.
My style is artistic, romantic, warm and personal. I’m all about capturing the connection between you – the real stuff. The way you kiss when no one’s watching. The way your hands find each other. The quiet moments in between the big ones. No stiff posing, just natural direction when needed, and space to be yourselves. It’s that mix of candid storytelling with just enough gentle guidance to help you shine.
Every couple I work with has a pre-wedding shoot – a relaxed “getting to know you” session that helps shake off the nerves and build trust between us. It’s a great chance to feel more comfortable in front of the camera – and with me – before the big day.
I’m deeply mindful of the little things – the light, the angle, the background (yes, I see that radiator and exit sign before you do!). My attention to detail is everything, because the smallest things make the biggest difference.
And I’m never doing this alone.
I often work alongside my incredible second photographers – especially my number one, Gemma. I’ve taught her from the ground up, and we’ve developed an amazing partnership and friendship over the years. Our couples always comment on our energy, connection and calm, fun vibe on the day – and it’s something we’re really proud of.
When Gemma’s not with me, I have a small, trusted group of handpicked second shooters who all match the same standard and approach. You’re always in safe hands with my team – people I trust to deliver exactly what I would.
You’ll always have my full attention, and I’ll work closely with you to make sure your photos reflect not just how your day looked, but how it felt. There’s no one-size-fits-all here – just your story, told your way.
I choose to work, which makes my commitment to you so much more. I will always be found at my desk, coffee in hand, editing your wedding photos one by one, not with Ai and one massive filter, each photo takes care and the removing of distracting exit signs lol.
Or...i will be walking my dogs, loving nature, spending time with my gorgeous family, playing my piano or found snuggled up reading a good detective story.
If that sounds like your kind of experience, and we sound like your photographers, then let’s set up a video chat – no pressure, just a relaxed conversation to get to know each other.
And if you’d like to hear more from my past couples, you’ll find plenty of kind words here on Hitched and over on Google.
Let’s make something unforgettable together ✨
Hi, I’m Gemma – a wedding photographer with a love for the little moments, both behind the lens and in life.
I’ve been with VP Photography for over 5 years, and I work alongside the amazing Vix, who has supported and guided me from the very start.
Together, we capture both sides of the story on a wedding day, making sure no special moment goes unseen.
My journey started with a love of nature and wildlife photography, where I learned patience, precision, and how to spot beauty in the details. That naturally led me into the world of weddings, where I now focus on capturing the emotions, fine details, and meaningful moments that make each couple’s day unique. I especially enjoy preserving the little touches couples work so hard on — the quiet glances, happy tears, and everything in between.
Outside of photography, I’m a proud wife and mum to three beautiful children — two energetic boys and one wonderfully sassy girl — plus two equally crazy dogs who keep us all on our toes.
My other job is in childcare, a career I’ve loved since I left college. It’s actually a huge help when photographing children at weddings and events — they tend to warm to me quickly, which makes for some really natural, joyful shots.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me enjoying days out with my family, watching my children at their sports and activities, or soaking in a peaceful sunset.
I also love to sit and draw (with a hot coffee in hand, of course!) whenever I get a quiet moment.
Photography isn’t just my job — it’s my passion. Being trusted to capture such important memories is something I’ll never take for granted.
