They made our wedding day as easy and stress free as possible. Helpful and always ready to answer any questions or worries we had. It is a beautiful location with amazing views and scenery. If you are looking for a peaceful rural venue Long Furlong Barn is a brilliant option.

I would like to formally raise some concerns regarding the maintenance of the venue, particularly the sound system, as well as the communication and organisation leading up to and on the day of our engagement party.
We were initially informed that the venue had a sound system available and, based on the information provided to us, we understood that our DJ would not need to bring their own equipment. This was therefore something we reasonably relied upon when making our arrangements.
Unfortunately, as soon as my fiancé and I arrived at the venue, the music stopped playing because the sound system had stopped working. One of the staff members repeatedly had to switch the system off and on in an attempt to get it working, and it took approximately 40 minutes before the issue was resolved.
What was particularly concerning was that, when we asked whether there was a backup plan, spare equipment or speakers available in case the system failed, we were told that there was nothing available that could be done. We consequently had to drive for an hour as the sound system failed again to source speakers ourselves simply so that we could have music.
Quite frankly, this was extremely disappointing and completely unnecessary. A functioning sound system was something we had specifically been told was available, and had we been informed beforehand that DJs were normally expected to provide their own equipment, we could obviously have made the appropriate arrangements ourselves. Finding this out on the actual day was hardly ideal and put unnecessary stress on what should have been one of the most important days of our lives.
What makes this even more frustrating is that we were told at the end of the evening that no DJ had ever connected to the venue's sound system before and that DJs normally bring their own equipment. This directly contradicts what we had originally been told, that bringing additional equipment would not be necessary.
It would have been helpful to know this information before the party rather than after the sound system had already failed.
I would like to make clear that the staff members working on the day themselves were amazing, friendly and helpful, and we genuinely appreciated their efforts. Our concerns are therefore not directed towards the staff personally, but towards the lack of communication, organisation and coordination between the management team.
Unfortunately, the sound system was not the only example of this.
We were also initially charged £200 for the suite, despite having made it clear on several occasions that we did not want or require it. This was subsequently resolved after numerous emails, and we appreciate that the £200 was eventually credited towards the drinks. However, the fact that this was added to our invoice in the first place, despite us repeatedly explaining that we did not want it, was another example of the poor communication we experienced.
There were also issues with the setup itself. We had discussed and expected a sweetheart table for my fiancé and me, yet this had not been set up when we arrived. My fiancé had to remind the staff on the day that the table needed to be arranged. Again, this is something that should have been organised beforehand rather than something we needed to check ourselves on our day.
Taken individually, some of these issues may appear relatively minor. However, when considered together, the incorrect suite charge, the repeated communication issues, the missing sweetheart table and, most importantly, the failure of the sound system with no suitable backup available, it unfortunately left us feeling that the organisation of our party was far less coordinated than we had been led to believe.
We had put a great deal of trust in the venue and expected the arrangements we had discussed and agreed upon to be communicated clearly between the relevant members of staff. Instead, we repeatedly found ourselves having to chase matters, correct misunderstandings and, ultimately, resolve problems ourselves on the day.
Having to leave our own engagement celebrations and spend approximately an hour driving to obtain speakers because the venue's sound system was not functioning is certainly not something we expected to have to deal with.

We’ve recently had our wedding reception at Long Furlong Barn and it was everything I could have asked for and more! Poppy and Louis were very helpful throughout the whole process whether it be a silly question I needed to ask or questions about the booze, they were always on hand to support! The venue were happy to put a few DIY bits on the table which helped support the set up of the venue. We had hire your day decorate the venue which made it look even more incredible! The entire team at Long Furlong were excellent throughout the night and they were professional and polite throughout. The venue is situated on such a lovely stretch of road and the fields behind the venue are so picturesque, our photographer (and family) had a wonderful time photographing us! The outside space was such a hit all night and people were able to maximise the use of the space due to the lovely weather. There was plenty of space for the dance floor and this was busy pretty much all night! My only feedback for the evening is that it may have been better if the venue was darker! The separate ceremony room which we used for our Photo Booth allowed people to use the photo booth without being in the way of the dance floor which was super helpful as the Photo Booth was busy all evening! Overall, we had such a lovely day at Long Furlong Barn and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a wedding.

The team at Long Furlong were amazing from start to finish and very accommodating of my type A bride-ness and answering random questions for months beforehand. Venue is obviously stunning too! On the day they were on hand to help set up and were super accommodating with our decor - including putting some sacks in the pit! Vicki even managed to video some of the day which was such a nice surprise to wake up to the next morning and made that unbearable wait for photos easier! My mum even cried at the footage.
We felt in safe hands and it was an easy breezy wedding planning with the team at Long Furlong.

After finding Long Furlong Barn online i knew i didn’t need to view or consider any other wedding venue. It was the first and last venue we looked at and when i say it’s so much better in real life i mean it. Everything to lead up to the day was amazing, communication was always perfect and someone was always there to answer any questions i needed (i had a lot)! The day itself was just amazing, the team made sure everything ran so smoothly even helped fan my face as i was getting super anxious and emotional on the lead up to take myself down the isle as i walked alone, they were all just beyond amazing and if you are thinking of booking this venue for your wedding just know your going to be taken care of very well. Amazing venue, amazing team, amazing day. Thank you

My whole experience with LFB, was just great. The team were unbelievably helpful during the planning stages, and were open to queries about anything and everything. It also has to be said, that given we started our planning during lockdown we were sold on the barn over a computer screen and had it all booked without having ever been there. This speaks volumes for just how gorgeous it is as a venue. The team never once seemed irked by my bombardment of emails.

On the day itself, the venue was breath-taking, and the team couldn't have been more helpful, bending over backwards to make everyone feel special and relaxed. I felt completely guided through the whole day, as (possibly more importantly), so did my mother. LFB, were completely open to our personal touches, from our access needs to my (now) husband rocking up on a motorbike.
I'm eagerly awaiting our official photos for the absolutely outstanding views.

I would say to anyone considering booking Long Furlong Barn for your wedding... DO IT! you're day will be utter bliss, and you'll have the time to stand back, and just take the day in (if only briefly).

From the minute I arrived at the barn the morning of my wedding I was greeted with excitement and smiles. The team were very helpful from then on.
There was small issue with the top table which was resolved quickly and with ease. The barn itself is beautiful and something I liked was the decor bits
and pieces that were fully included in the price. The bridal suite is a lovely room to get ready in, spacious and beautifully presented. We could have only
dreamed our wedding would be so perfect.

From start to finish the team over delivered on our expectations. I am from Ireland where weddings are a massive thing and venues etc are
scrutinised in the days after but every single person who came from near and far loved the barn

Excellent knowledgable staff, and a fantastic range of decorations and supplies included! They have an amazing team there that are so friendly and helpful, making us feel super relaxed on our big day.

The team at the venue, were so
supportive and flexible. Helped out with our ideas and guided us to suppliers/ people who can help. The venue is stunning, best day of our lives, massive part was getting the venue right with the support of the staff. Thank you

Long Furlong Barn is an amazing venue, the setting is a perfect backdrop rain or shine and the barn itself is beautiful with a lovely rustic feel. There are so many options for decoration to make it yours for the day. The staff are great and make you feel very calm on the day and nothing is done in a panic!!

Long Furlong Barn is a beautiful venue. Despite looking at many other barns in
the area there was just something special about Long Furlong that other venues didn't have. The ceremony room, dining room and courtyard are all stunning in their own right, whilst the surrounding fields make for the perfect backdrop for photos. Not only is the venue great but the staff were so helpful from the first communication all the way through to our big day, putting us at ease and feeling in very safe hands!

As soon as we visited the venue (the only one we looked at) we knew we wanted to have our ceremony and reception there. From first contact to on the day (where the seating plan had to be changed due to a few last minute cancellations) we felt extremely well looked after and our day was absolutely perfect. The location is amazing and the staff were faultless in looking after us. Neither of us felt stressed or worried and everything went smoothly. Plus our guests all raved about the day!
