A Manchester-based wedding photographer travelling throughout the North West, covering Wigan, Manchester, Cheshire, Lancashire and Beyond!! A twin mum, ex-nurse, and professional love-story and chocolate enthusiast. CAPTURING HOW YOUR DAY FEELS, NOT JUST HOW IT LOOKS
Your wedding day isn’t a photoshoot — it’s a beautifully chaotic, joy-filled, slightly teary, cake-on-your-face, tie-around-your-head, dancing-your-heart-out kind of story. It’s the deep breaths before you walk down the aisle, the inside jokes during the vows, and that one friend who absolutely owns the dance floor.
My job? To capture all of that.
I’m calm when things get a little wild, attentive when you need a steady presence, and quietly in the background when the magic is unfolding naturally (not in a weird hiding-in-the-bushes way, promise). I’ll step in with guidance when you need it, fade out when you don’t, and believe me — I will spot anyone trying to hide at the back of a group photo (a bit like Liam Neeson in Taken… but friendlier).
It’s your day, and my aim is to make it feel easy, natural and fun from start to finish.
Photography by Michelle Jane is all about a relaxed, documentary style. I focus on real moments, genuine emotion, and all those beautiful in-between glances you didn’t even realise were happening. No awkward posing. No forced smiles. Just you — being you.
That said, I know how important group photos and couples portraits are. I’ll gently organise family shots so they’re efficient and stress-free, and we’ll set aside a little time for relaxed couple portraits. Nothing stiff or staged — just natural moments together while you soak it all in. And if posing feels a little daunting, don’t worry. I’ll guide you in a way that feels comfortable and effortless… you might even end up enjoying it!

You made me and Daniel feel so comfortable throughout our photos, we had fun doing!
You created a safe space for the kids to freely approach you for sneaky photos. Which for me and Daniel was very humourous. The few photos you have given us so far turned out beautiful. So natural and so fun. We loved the time we got to spend as a couple in the moments after the ceremony. You gave us the space we needed and created something truly special for us.

We were not disappointed! We met with Michelle via zoom to discuss our requirements including what pictures were important to us and she made us feel confident that we had picked the right person for the job. She visited the venue to find some good spots to capture photos on the day and she did not disappoint.
On the day, Michelle was nothing short of perfect! She arrived in great time and was brilliant with all of our guests, including the children (we have some amazing pictures of our little guests!)
Michele was great fun and made everything very easy and relaxed and followed up after the day with some incredible sneak peek pictures! We feel truly blessed to have had her capture our special day and have so many beautiful photos to remember our wedding day with.

Michelle has an ability to put everyone at ease and blend in to the environment, she had us laughing, joking and just generally added to the enjoyment of the day. Guests commented on how lovely Michelle is and how she never stopped, she was everywhere without you realising, which the finished shots confirmed.
Much more than just a photographer, Michelle helped with the running of the day, delivered gifts and even stepped in to help the bride with very tricky dress fastenings!
The finished images were ready much quicker than I would have even hoped, and they are just amazing. I can’t thank Michelle enough.

Michelle is amazing
She was also exceptionally patient with both my fussiness and my (somewhat difficult) family.
Her bright and warm style was exactly what we wanted, she did an incredible job capturing our special venue after obviously researching where the best photo spots would be!
We had so many compliments on how lovely she was and she captured some wonderful candid photos of so many of our guests, not just the bridal party.
