Hey, I’m Michelle, a Wedding Photographer based in Lowton in the Greater Manchester region of England. Even though I’m based in the North West, I am open to travelling across the UK! My mission to capture life's greatest moments, the love, laughter and dodgy dancing!

I have always been interested in photography and growing up have never being too far from a camera. It wasn't until after the birth of my children that I decided to take this hobby further and make a career out of it (a bit cliche I know).
I believe that no two love stories are the same and prioritise honing in on the uniqueness of every couple so that they are left with images that encapsulate the essence of their love. Photography by Michelle Jane brings a relaxed, documentary style with a bit of tradition, editorial flare and romantic modernism. My edits are warm with pops of colour but I’m also a sucker for Classic Black and White images so couples will find their final gallery will include a variety of both!
Whilst I capture most of your wedding day in an unobtrusive way with lots of candid shots, I also like to set aside time during the day to capture couple’s portraits and group photos. With that I completely understand that not everyone is comfortable posing and will do everything I can to make everyone feel natural and at ease during the process! Infact you might even enjoy it in the end!

What does the wedding package include?
Prewedding meeting, venue visit, upto 10 hours of coverage ensuring all those key moments, the tears, laughter and raw emotion is captured. Your images fully edited and delivered via an online gallery
How far in advance should I contact you?
12 Months. However, there’s no harm reaching out to say hi and checking out my availability for your date!
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?

Can you travel?
Yes, i am Cheshire based, however, happy to travel throughout the UK. I’ve grown up in the Greater Manchester area and I am familiar with the surrounding areas such as Lancashire, Cumbria and Merseyside

I capture your day as it unfolds, allowing me to tell a story you can look back upon in years to come and remember as though it was yesterday. I capture details, candids, group and couples photography
What kind of equipment do you use?
I shoot using Canon Mirrorless technology as I love the colours that Canon brings to life in my images. I carry two bodies, a variety of prime lenses, flash and light stands
Do you offer any tool to display the photos online?
Yes, images are delivered in High Resolution via a secure online gallery provided by Pixieset
What's the delivery time for a photographic report?

Incredible photography!
We asked Michelle to provide her services for our wedding day as her previous work really encapsulates the emotion and romance of a wedding, and also because she was local to us and we preferred to support local businesses.
We were not disappointed! We met with Michelle via zoom to discuss our requirements including what pictures were important to us and she made us feel confident that we had picked the right person for the job. She visited the venue to find some good spots to capture photos on the day and she did not disappoint.
On the day, Michelle was nothing short of perfect! She arrived in great time and was brilliant with all of our guests, including the children (we have some amazing pictures of our little guests!)
Michele was great fun and made everything very easy and relaxed and followed up after the day with some incredible sneak peek pictures! We feel truly blessed to have had her capture our special day and have so many beautiful photos to remember our wedding day with.
Thank you so much Michelle for your incredible work, professionalism and amazing photography skills!

Brilliant under pressure
Michelle was absolutely brilliant at getting all the shots we wanted despite a reduced time frame. Her friendly yet professional manner put us at ease and the photos are of a great quality (particularly the candid ones)

Would recommend to anyone!
When we booked our wedding, we found the process of booking a photographer a bit daunting but after looking at the photos on Hitched and from the first few messages we exchanged with Michelle, we knew that we had found the right person for us! Michelle kept touching base with us through the planning process and helped us with choosing our group shots and in deciding what we wanted to capture of our big day. She visited our venue before the wedding to scope out some good backdrops and we got some gorgeous shots as a result! On the day, everyone commented on how brilliant Michelle was. She got on so well with everybody and has us all in fits of laughter. We are so grateful for the beautiful shots that she captured on our special day and would absolutely recommend her to anyone and everyone!

No review would do justice to just how amazing Michelle is. From booking through to the big day itself, Michelle’s communication was fantastic. Always responded super quick,
And no query or request was too much trouble for her.
On the day, Michelle and her second shooter were just amazing. Michelle has an ability to put everyone at ease and blend in to the environment, she had us laughing, joking and just generally added to the enjoyment of the day. Guests commented on how lovely Michelle is and how she never stopped, she was everywhere without you realising, which the finished shots confirmed.
Much more than just a photographer, Michelle helped with the running of the day, delivered gifts and even stepped in to help the bride with very tricky dress fastenings!
The finished images were ready much quicker than I would have even hoped, and they are just amazing. I can’t thank Michelle enough.

Michelle is amazing
Michelle was such an easy photographer to work with, she made us feel comfortable and listened to exactly what I did and didn’t want.
She was also exceptionally patient with both my fussiness and my (somewhat difficult) family.
Her bright and warm style was exactly what we wanted, she did an incredible job capturing our special venue after obviously researching where the best photo spots would be!
We had so many compliments on how lovely she was and she captured some wonderful candid photos of so many of our guests, not just the bridal party.
Thanks again Michelle for everything, we are so lucky to have had you capture our special day and we now have the difficult job of choosing which of the amazing photos to put on our wall.
