Located in Mobberley, the heart of rural Cheshire, Owen House Wedding Barn welcomes you to a family-run venue. Lovingly converted in 2013, the venue and the farm offer couples an exclusive, relaxed, and unique countryside wedding setting.
Facilities and Capacity
Owen House Wedding Barn features various great event spaces, including the main barn, two paddocks with orchards, an outside patio perfect for arrival drinks, gardens with a flower-covered pagoda, and the main event barn. The Wedding Barn can host civil ceremonies in a separate room with fairy lights, accommodating 150 people. It can seat up to 190 for the wedding breakfast and even more for the evening reception. A secret breakout room is connected to the main barn to provide a quiet space for guests to use throughout the night. Fully equipped dressing suites are available for the wedding party's use. The beauty shed includes salon chairs, cloud 9 hairdryers, tea and coffee making facilities, a large shower room with complimentary towels, and a Prosecco fridge. In contrast, the Baa-BER shed features table football, a beer fridge, showers, and a barber chair. The venue also has a designated shooting gallery with beautiful backdrops and props, creating a bespoke photographic space for the newlyweds.
Services Offered
We have award-winning caterers to ensure you find the perfect, bespoke menu for your big day. We also have a fully stocked and staffed bar with a large selection of craft spirits, local microbrewery cask ale, American craft lagers, and ales. We also offer the table wine at discounted prices, and the venue bar prices are pub prices. At the night's end, you and your guests can avail of their on-site accommodation, which can sleep up to 45 people. The Birds and The Bees Suite is a luxury cabin built for the newlyweds, The Tens features eight double rooms and two family rooms, and the B&B next to the wedding barn provides spacious rooms with beautiful views of the countryside.

Fantastic day had by all!
We would highly recommend this venue. Communication was brilliant from the start with key meetings and a clear timeline for the day! The suggested catering company Vanilla All Seasons were also amazing. We both had a fantastic wedding day which we will cherish forever. The barn looked stunning with our chosen decorations and we had so many guests comment on the beautiful venue itself. The bride and grooms getting ready rooms are special and quirky and the photo gallery was a lovely touch where we could spend some down time together as a newly married couple. We were particularly impressed with Kris who helped run the day and put us at ease. We wish we could do it all over again!

The best day for my hubby & I.
My now hubby and I got married at OHWB a few weeks back and it was beautiful from start to finish. This was our 7th venue we visited... and genuinely, there isnt another like it. It is faultless from start to finish. The team are epic, Vanessa was on hand to answer every question from start to finish, regardless of how stupid they were. Kris was an absolute queen and made sure the day went by seamlessly on the day itself. The facilities are second to none - you have to see them for yourself to understand. From the on site accommodation, to the getting ready areas, to the ceremony room, to the breakfast room to the secret room for photos on the day, it is just pure joy. Our only wish is we could do it again! Some practicalities - the alcohol isnt ridiculously expensive, the caterers they allow you to use are top notch and will create the best feast, other than that - just wonderful. Thank you to everyone at OHWB for the best day EVER x

The best venue in Cheshire
I got married here on Friday. Wow, what a venue. From the very first time I viewed Owen house I knew it was the venue for me. Ell one of the wedding coordinators there is absolutely amazing, she looked after me every step of the way. Communication with the venue was great too! I’m honestly gutted that it’s all over, all the staff there are 10/10. Thanks to all the team for making my day everything I could have wanted and more

Beautiful venue
We had our wedding at Owen house wedding barn. We looked at many venues but instantly fell in love with this venue when we attended an open day. It was perfect. The whole experience of planning and the wedding day was an amazing experience. They are so supportive and helpful. All our guests loved the barns. The facilities from the barns and the beauty room and barbers shed are amazing. The accommodation on site is lovely. The team at Owens house are amazing and communication was excellent.
We had a perfect wedding day and will always be grateful to the team at Owens house.

Perfect day
We couldn’t have asked for a better venue. From the start, the team were open, flexible, and totally up for helping us with some of our more unusual requests. The whole vibe is relaxed and welcoming, which made the planning feel way less stressful and the day itself even more special.
A huge shoutout to El, who was amazing in the lead-up, and Kris, who kept everything running smoothly on the day. Everyone who stayed over absolutely loved it—and the breakfast the next morning was the perfect way to round things off.

5⭐️ - the perfect venue
We got married at Owen House at the end of August this year. We wanted a venue that could be a one-stop shop to minimise additional logistics and this proved to be the perfect choice. The team at Owen House are all fantastic and helped guide us through the process of planning the day. They supplied an information pack with guide schedules, suggested layouts, suppliers and thoughts on all aspects such as amounts of alcohol etc. This really helped make the process for us streamlined and able to quickly focus on making key decisions about the day and what we wanted. There are a bridal and groom prep area to get hair, make up and dressed prior to the ceremony. The Ceremony room was beautiful and intimate and the registrars from Cheshire East were absolutely brilliant. The barn is a large space with the bar at the back alongside a chill out room (which our kids loved). I always wanted a space where everyone was together and this was the perfect choice. The whole site offers a range of spaces for beautiful photo opportunities, we even had a photo hanging out with the cows. The wedding day was absolutely fantastic and the calm presence of Kris the coordinator was very appreciated by me to keep us on track timewise. The day ran so smoothly and we have had so many comments and praise from our guests on the venue and how brilliant a day it was. The venue has accommodation on site, which we and our immediate family used. The rooms are very well appointed and being able to walk 2 mins to bed was very welcome after a fantastic day. Having researched venues online, we only actually visited Owen House as we immediately knew it was the right place for us. We ended up using suppliers that work regularly at the venue and this helped hugely with planning as they were all able to offer insight as to what would work within the venue. We highly recommend this venue and thank you for the most amazing day.

Beautiful Day!
The whole team at Owen House made our day so seamless. There was a relaxed atmosphere at morning and they couldn’t do enough for us throughout the day. Would highly recommend, lots of comments from guests on how lovely the venue was!

The best day ever!
From us first looking round at Owen House to having our special day we were well looked after by all the team. The venue is absolutely beautiful and has the aesthetics you need for stunning pictures!!

Simply incredible
What a venue! We knew on stepping in that Owen house was the venue for us. We had visited a number of barns but non of them had what Owen house has. We met Kris who showed us around the barn and went on to be our wedding coordinator, she was with us every step of the way and was an absolute god send, the day ran smoothly anything that cropped up Kris was all over it and it was resolved without any stress (and before I was even aware)! The rest of the staff team were incredible on the day, so friendly and helpful.
The barn speaks for itself, it’s absolutely stunning, there isn’t a thing that hasn’t been considered. The photos .. WOW.
The accommodation at Owen house is so cool and modern all our guests had a lovely stay on site.
We couldn’t recommend this venue more and would make the same decision again in a heartbeat! Thanks to everybody at Owen house!

Venue of dreams!
We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding day at Owen House! Not only did we have the most amazing weather for an end of October wedding, but Vanessa, Kris & the team were simply incredible.

Fantastic venue
Owen house wedding barn is a phenomenal venue that we can't recommend enough.
The venue in its self is utterly stunning, many of our guests said it was the best wedding venue they had ever been to.
The whole team at OHWB were fantastic throughout the whole process, guiding us through each step to ensure our wedding was just the way we wanted.
I would recommend Owen House to everyone planning to get married, you will not find a better venue than this!
