Located in Mobberley, the heart of rural Cheshire, Owen House Wedding Barn welcomes you to a family-run venue. Lovingly converted in 2013, the venue and the farm offer couples an exclusive, relaxed, and unique countryside wedding setting.
Facilities and Capacity
Owen House Wedding Barn features various great event spaces, including the main barn, two paddocks with orchards, an outside patio perfect for arrival drinks, gardens with a flower-covered pagoda, and the main event barn. The Wedding Barn can host civil ceremonies in a separate room with fairy lights, accommodating 150 people. It can seat up to 190 for the wedding breakfast and even more for the evening reception. A secret breakout room is connected to the main barn to provide a quiet space for guests to use throughout the night. Fully equipped dressing suites are available for the wedding party's use. The beauty shed includes salon chairs, cloud 9 hairdryers, tea and coffee making facilities, a large shower room with complimentary towels, and a Prosecco fridge. In contrast, the Baa-BER shed features table football, a beer fridge, showers, and a barber chair. The venue also has a designated shooting gallery with beautiful backdrops and props, creating a bespoke photographic space for the newlyweds.
Services Offered
We have award-winning caterers to ensure you find the perfect, bespoke menu for your big day. We also have a fully stocked and staffed bar with a large selection of craft spirits, local microbrewery cask ale, American craft lagers, and ales. We also offer the table wine at discounted prices, and the venue bar prices are pub prices. At the night's end, you and your guests can avail of their on-site accommodation, which can sleep up to 45 people. The Birds and The Bees Suite is a luxury cabin built for the newlyweds, The Tens features eight double rooms and two family rooms, and the B&B next to the wedding barn provides spacious rooms with beautiful views of the countryside.

Simply incredible
What a venue! We knew on stepping in that Owen house was the venue for us. We had visited a number of barns but non of them had what Owen house has. We met Kris who showed us around the barn and went on to be our wedding coordinator, she was with us every step of the way and was an absolute god send, the day ran smoothly anything that cropped up Kris was all over it and it was resolved without any stress (and before I was even aware)! The rest of the staff team were incredible on the day, so friendly and helpful.
The barn speaks for itself, it’s absolutely stunning, there isn’t a thing that hasn’t been considered. The photos .. WOW.
The accommodation at Owen house is so cool and modern all our guests had a lovely stay on site.
We couldn’t recommend this venue more and would make the same decision again in a heartbeat! Thanks to everybody at Owen house!

Venue of dreams!
We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding day at Owen House! Not only did we have the most amazing weather for an end of October wedding, but Vanessa, Kris & the team were simply incredible.
From start to finish the day was just perfect, we had so many compliments on how good the venue was and how it’s completely different to anything they’ve seen before. Our guests loved trying to get pictures with the planes flying over!
Communication leading up to the venue was great, any concerns or queries would be answered as soon as possible.
Thank you to everyone for making our day so perfect! 🫶🏼

Fantastic venue
Owen house wedding barn is a phenomenal venue that we can't recommend enough.
The venue in its self is utterly stunning, many of our guests said it was the best wedding venue they had ever been to.
The whole team at OHWB were fantastic throughout the whole process, guiding us through each step to ensure our wedding was just the way we wanted.
I would recommend Owen House to everyone planning to get married, you will not find a better venue than this!

What can we say the wedding of dreams. It was a real life fairytale, it was relaxed, it was effortlessly smooth. The staff from the start of the booking process to the final day made us feel valued as a couple. Every inch of the venue is superb, quirky and makes a change from the average wedding venue. We felt special, we felt on cloud 9 and our guests said it was the best wedding they have ever been too. Caroline was a dream and made sure the day ran smoothly and kept us calm every inch of the way. I am genuinely sad it’s all over and that was our last time visiting. Let’s hope more friends get married there. If you want to wow your guests and have a seamless wedding day, Owenhouse is the one. Everything is on site and makes life so much easier.

From our very first visit we were greeted by Vanessa and a warm family feel from this stunning venue.
We wanted to create a truly unique wedding and Vanessa and Dan accommodated our every idea including a full sized dodgems ! Nothing was too much trouble.
Each space has such deliberate attention to detail - and the onsite accommodation adds to its quirkiness.
On the day the team worked tirelessly to ensure everything ran smoothly and we had a truly unforgettable day.
If you are looking for your wedding venue, go give and view Owen House - it’ll be the best decision you make !

Just perfect.
This venue will always hold a special place in our hearts. Our wedding day was made perfect by the surroundings and staff of OHWB. The run up to the wedding was made so exciting with regular meetings and a wine tasting evening. Our event manager Amy was amazing, professional and lovely. Absolutely gorgeous, we will never forget it.

I don't know where to start. Owen House and all their team are just fab! We had the most perfect day and couldn't ask for more. The day felt so personal to us and nothing we asked was too much for the team. Having everything we needed on site made for a seamless day and the separate barn for couples' pictures was so perfectly styled and secluded to give us a few minutes away from the business of our guests!

What a place to get married!
We loved Owen House from the moment we first visited. There’s something about the place that made us both excited and relaxed at once! The interesting, beautiful and varied spaces, the fact it has on-site accommodation, the friendly team – there is nothing not to love! The getting ready rooms gave us the perfect space to prep in and from there the team seamlessly guided us through the most wonderful day. In the run-up they were responsive and helpful, and so we were able to arrive on the day of the wedding knowing everything would run smoothly. From the beautiful ceremony room to the atmospheric Shooting Gallery, there was no space we didn’t love. The drinks tasting was so much fun, and the offering on the day was excellent. We were able to provide some beers from the groom’s home county for the reception drinks, and the set-up for the reception drinks worked so well, with the prosecco cart outside on an unexpectedly sunny autumn day! As with everything at Owen House, it was easy to organise and went perfectly on the day. Being able to have so many of our friends and family stay over really helped make it extra-special. It was so nice to catch up over a bacon butty the next morning, while admiring the cows. Meanwhile the honeymoon suite was the cherry on top – being able to have an outdoor bath, looking out over the green fields with a cup of tea, the morning after our wedding was sheer bliss. Overall, the atmosphere you’re able to create at Owen House is a real winner – warm and welcoming and genuinely homely. The team are absolutely fantastic and it was the perfect setting for the relaxed, fun-filled wedding we wanted – and got!

The Best Day
From the moment we walked in for an open day viewing we instantly knew that we wanted to get married at Owen House. The venue was exactly what we were looking for, a rustic theme but with a polished finish.
There is plenty of on-site accommodation which is comfortable, spacious and a great place to rest your head after a day of celebrating!
Every member of staff that we spoke to during the planning and on the day were incredible, nothing was to much to ask as they just want to make your day as amazing as it should be.

Absolutely perfect!
We honestly couldn’t recommend this venue enough, from the minute we booked with them, the whole process has been effortless. They took care of all details and made sure our day ran smoothly. We were looked after from start to finish, it was all just perfect!

The Best Day Ever
If you are looking for a wedding venue, you absolutely have to consider Owen House Wedding Barn.
We got married here on 19th August and just had the best day. Everything ran seamlessly, and there was zero stress to the day. Kirsty was incredible, and I do not have the words to express my gratitude for how she handled the whole day. She gave advice where it was needed and really helped us to feel comfortable right at the times we needed it (even if we didn’t know it).
Before the big day I felt like I’d handed everything over to them about 2 months before at our final meeting which really made the whole planning process a dream! The whole team are so laidback and you just naturally fall into that with them because they fill you with confidence that everything is sorted and under control. If anything had gone wrong on the day I didn’t (and still don’t) know about it. The whole day was perfect!
Outside of the team, the venue is obviously stunning with so many unique photo opportunities and you get have your dog there! This was massively important for us and it just made the day extra special. We had so many guests come over and comment on how lovely the venue is too.
