David Bostock is the founder of David Bostock Photography, a professional Oxfordshire wedding photography business based in Kings Sutton, on the Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire border. He has more than 18 years of professional wedding photography experience and has photographed over 550 weddings throughout Oxfordshire, the Home Counties and beyond.
David’s photography is centred on creating heartfelt, authentic images that reflect the individual story of each couple. His work has been recognised both in the UK and internationally, and his approach combines experience and technical expertise with an instinct for capturing genuine emotion, relationships and the moments that make every wedding unique.
For David, wedding photography is about far more than simply taking beautiful pictures. It is about preserving the emotions, connections and memories that allow couples to remember not only how their wedding looked, but how it felt.
The Services David Offers
David Bostock Photography offers a carefully considered range of wedding photography collections designed to suit individual celebrations and make the photography experience as seamless as possible.
Every collection includes professionally edited high-resolution digital images for couples to keep, five complimentary 12 × 8-inch prints and a secure online viewing gallery. Most collections also include a beautifully designed luxury wedding album, creating a lasting, tangible record of the wedding day to be enjoyed for generations.
Couples can also book a pre-wedding photography session. This provides an opportunity to become comfortable in front of the camera while allowing David to get to know the couple and understand their relationship before the wedding. This helps create photographs on the day that feel natural, relaxed and authentic.
Additional coverage and a second photographer can also be arranged when required, particularly for larger celebrations, weddings taking place across multiple locations or occasions where more extensive coverage would be beneficial.

How far in advance should I contact you?
Generally couples book me 12-18 months before their wedding so I'd advise early booking to secure your date as I take on a maximum of 30 wedding assignments each year so I can spend time on each one

What is the charge for travelling?
First 60 miles travel from my studio in Banbury is included thereafter 40p per mile.
For destination weddings abroad my standard UK collection charges apply with supplements for flights/hotel/food

I am a highly experienced photographer having worked as a full time professional wedding photographer since 2008. I offer a perfect blend of documentary/reportage and classic/contemporary photography

The very latest Canon Professional Mirrorless Digital Cameras and Canon Professional Lenses also a wide range of Flashguns, Studio flash and LED lighting.

Yes, online Gallery which is password protected for the couple with facility for guests to purchase images directly from the gallery

Our wedding photographer -December 2025
David was utterly brilliant, by far the best choice and best-value choice we made for our wedding. His photographs are superb. It absolutely poured down on the day but he kept us calm and was so flexible, working around the terrible weather. He is kind and funny and very personable. All our guests loved him too. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Truly stunning photos
Truly stunning photos. David was a joy to work with and we couldn't be happier with our photos. The whole process was simple, stress free and, while neither of us are particularly comfortable or natural in front of the camera, we felt at ease throughout all of the photographs. Amazing photographs of our Cotswold wedding
We simply can't recommend David enough – he's utterly brilliant! From the moment we started planning, David was incredibly organized, making sure every detail we wanted for our wedding photos was covered. The practice shoot at The Studio was such a smart idea; it completely put us at ease and gave us all the confidence we needed for the wedding day. When the day arrived, David was our sense of calm amidst all the excitement. He handled everything seamlessly, capturing every shot we'd discussed. When it came to our couple's photos, his wonderful humor and personality made that it so natural and fun. David is super friendly, incredibly professional, and we're so excited for the day that our final printed album arrives, so that we can relive the day through our photos forever. A consummate professional....!
We couldn't have picked a better photographer for our English country 'late in life' wedding in the beautiful Chiltern countryside (Penn, Buckinghamshire). With our penchant for black and white photography yet the need to capture the warmth of the day, David's demonstrable award winning experience in this field made him the perfect choice for our church wedding! If you're stuck choosing a photographer, don't think twice about David
Words can't begin to express how amazing David was as our wedding photographer. A chance encounter with David at Hedsor House and we instantly fell in love with his photography and the gorgeous Queensbury albums on display. On top of that, he followed up with several zoom meetings prior to our wedding day, really taking the time to be attentive to every detail and even fit himself around our busy schedules at ungodly hours. My husband and myself aren't the most naturally photogenic yet David was so easily able to manoeuvre our positions and shots, to capture us in the most beautiful way, whilst also taking the most wholesome candid moments with our family and friends. Even with my husband and myself being of African and Asian heritage, David truly respected and appreciated the details of our cultures and captured them beautifully. Amazing photos!!
David is such an amazing photographer, who really took the time to discuss our vision for our wedding and was so supportive throughout the entire planning process. He is so experienced in knowing which shots work best and the photos turned out absolutely beautiful. After our wedding, he was so helpful in putting together a lovely album. Our day, Our very mad, fun, special day.
David made our experience a very smooth ride. We met during an open evening at our chosen wedding venue and he oozed all the right things. Charismatic, experienced, he walked us through the unknown with his easy going manner. That contrasted with is precision bombing on composing the formal photos and his discretion and invisibility when capturing the casual stuff during the diverse events of our unforgettable nuptials. Unforgettable, in part, due to him.

Caswell House Wedding - August
Wow, wow, wow!
We cannot express enough how grateful we are that David shot our photos for our wedding. From meeting him at Caswell House open day, we were blown away by his professional manner and talent. After having to postpone a year due to COVID, David accommodated us and made things stress free and we were so glad we could still have him shoot our wedding. On the day, David bought fantastic energy to everyone around him and we had many comments from our guests and family about how brilliant our photographer was. He had fantastic rapport with everybody (including my lively bridesmaids!) and everyone felt at ease in his company - even those we knew hated having their photos taken. David kept the momentum and energy going even during some parts of the day when it was raining (some brides may feel this is their worst nightmare to have rain on the day but he made this fun and helped us see all the positives in this!) Luckily, we had a break in the rain and he captured even more fantastic shots.
We have been lucky enough to see a sneak peek of our photos and we absolutely love them - from what we have seen they already capture the emotion and laughter from the day and we are so excited to see more!
