What's your experience?

1.5 hours or 2 hours typically. Performance time can be split into 2 or 3 sets within a 3 hour window

How much time do you need to prepare for an act?

Ideally at least a month as we may need time to learn or rehearse specific requests and also to organise logistics for the day

Hire them for every celebration. They are always incredible and everyone who hears them will hire them too!

Zaz has the most incredible voice: soulful, heartfelt, inspiring, funky, beautiful. My wife is a singer so it was always going to be a chore picking the right singer/band for our wedding but after hearing Version play our decision was simple. Version are INCREDIBLE. Zaz is so easy to plan events with. She and her whole band travelled up to the Highlands in Scotland for our wedding and made everything so easy for us. They were in budget, learnt specific songs for our special day and made the whole event bespoke and specific to our needs. We had them as an acoustic two piece for both the church ceremony and post-wedding lawn cocktails, before having the whole 4 piece band give three sets in the evening. Picking songs from their catalogue is so much fun, they are all bangers and performed impeccably by all. Since introducing Version to our friends and family, we have been to at least 5 weddings where they have performed with more in the pipe line. My best man had them for his 30th and 40th birthday celebrations. My wife and I got them back for our 40th birthday parties too. We have travelled to restaurants miles away just to hear them perform. You could say we are BIG VERSION FANS.

Anniversary party

Version were recommended to me by a local friend - they were super warm and responsive when I got in touch, communication was easy throughout the whole process. They were flexible and open to suggestions, and most importantly were SO GOOD at the party! Song choices were amazing, Zaz's voice and vibe perfection. All our friends were loving the band, they really made it such a special party. Very thankful!!! :)

What a band!!!!

We had the best time with Zaz and Version Collective! They had the entire dance floor there all night and were absolutely brilliant! Zaz was soo easy to communicate with and it all turned out perfectly for us. Would wholeheartedly recommend

The best live band you'll ever book

This band are outstanding. Helen's vocals are second to none, and the guys on the instrumental were truly talented musicians. Throughout the whole night, the dancefloor was packed with people having a blast and since then we've had so many people compliment us on our choice of band. Helen also is an expert at working a crowd, spending time moving around the dancefloor and really pumping up the energy in the venue.

The best decision you’ll make!!

Helen and the Band are amazing! We booked Helen to sing solo at our wedding ceremony, and then had a 3 piece set back at our venue. Her solo performance and the bands performance was absolutely incredible.
Our wedding guest complimented Version during the wedding day and for many days after. They had everyone dancing at 2pm in the afternoon. We wish we could have had them for the whole day and night.
Helen is amazing. She made the whole booking and communication process a breeze and stress free (which is what you need when organising a wedding)
Don’t hesitate to get them booked - would highly highly recommend ❤️

Amazing singer and band!!

Helen is an amazing performer as his her band and so fair and reasonable with pricing. I saw Helen at a friends birthday party and since 5 of my friends have booked her. She is super experienced and professional, I would book her again for any party etc I had.

Amazing band and people. Ticked every box

Couldn’t be happier with these guys performance at our wedding. Best booking we done. All very talented and not only brought the party but also offered different tempo and vibes through the evening as we requested. Set list we discussed with them beforehand and their range was really wide and quality. Communication all the way through was superb and went out their way to make sure everything was as we wanted for the day. All our guests were up dancing and had such good feedback from them. One of our mates even joined them on stage to rap! If you book this band you’re in for a great time!

Best decision we made regarding our wedding

We booked Zaz and Version for our wedding last year. We found Version by luck and were so lucky to have done so. Zaz was so friendly and approachable leading up to the booking. Zaz worked with us to create a personalised playlist which was very versatile, they even learnt two songs for us. On the night, the band arrived with plenty of time to set up and were sensational on the night. They had the whole wedding dancing throughout and built an incredible atmosphere. It was the highlight of the day for us. A year on our guests still mention how great Version were. It really made our day special and memorable and we will forever be grateful to Zaz and the team for their professionalism, energy and talent. We can’t recommend them enough.

Live singing excellence

Helen is a fantastic singer and entertainer and I would recommend her for any birthday/celebration/corporate event.
I booked Helen for my 30th and 40th birthday parties and hope she is available for my 50th. Wish I knew about her before getting married.
Flexible, great value for money, everyone raves about her after an event.

Best experience ever!

I had the pleasure of Version performing at my mom's surprise 60th birthday party. They travelled up to Birmingham for us, and helped make the day a total success. It was the best party ever. The setlist was everything we asked for, and more! And they had everyone up on their feet the whole day and night! Couldn't recommend enough!

Fabulous Band!!

Version played at our wedding and we couldn’t have been happier. Zaz is a delight to work with, really open to discussing songs choices and what we really loved about her and the band was how they put their own slant on each song. Zaz’s vocals are off the charts amazing, she’s super talented and the musicians that accompany her are great too. Whether you want something acoustic or a bigger band feel, Version can do it all. We loved their performance so much that we asked them to play at our wedding anniversary party recently which brought back many happy memories. If you want a band that will guarantee your guests will be up and dancing then I would thoroughly recommend Version.

A great time!

I have used Version band for two functions - they have a great and comprehensive setlist of good funk/soul songs, as well as some easy listening and some of the classics that everyone loves. Helen is responsive and very helpful in liaising directly with the venue so that everything is covered.

Zaz is just incredible!!! Our guests were blown away by her talent. Her voice is just so good. And whilst we had lots of things to worry about on our Wedding day, Zaz was not one of them. She is such a nice person, super flexible and easy to work with to get the set we wanted just right. And on the big day she looked fantastic, and SHE worked the crowd, the lights, and music with ease, getting everyone up dancing and making sure the night reached a memorable crescendo - Would hire her again, a 100 times over!

Hello! Firstly, thank you for taking a peek at our storefront.

I'm Zaz, I started Version in 2011 as a humble acoustic 4 piece and it has now blossomed into a 5-8 piece ensemble. I love where we're at right now, still the same vibe, same ethos, but with more expertise and some of the best musicians London has to offer.

Aside from Version I am a backing vocalist and session vocalist. Some artists I work with include Desta French, Laville & Ash Walker, Jessica Wilde, Amy True, and more.

When I'm not working I can usually be found at the gym, obsessing over my two little nephews, or out enjoying some live music with the bestie.

My favourite thing about playing at a wedding has to be that first moment we start our set or the first dance - there's really nothing better than seeing your couple on the dancefloor and everything come together after months of talking and planning!
