Where do I even start…. Simon has been incredible from start to finish. His communication was outstanding and dealt with any questions or requests we had straight away. And the night of the wedding… another level! We wanted a party people wouldn’t forget and he delivered, no one left the dancefloor and it was banger after banger! We were all VERY sad when it had to end. 1000% would recommend using Simon and his team, absolutely fantastic and thank you so so much for giving us the night we’d imagined! We recently hired Simon and his team at Hampshire Event DJs for our wedding in October. They came highly recommended by our venue as a preferred supplier, so it was an easy choice after meeting and chatting with Simon at a wedding fair held there.

One of the things we were particularly interested in was Hampshire Event DJs’ playlist builder tool. We have overlapping music tastes but can both be quite fussy, so this was a huge plus for us. The tool is fantastic and really helped us build a clear idea of what we wanted to hear on the day. We even created a playlist on our own music apps based on what we’d selected, so we were both confident about which songs should (and shouldn’t) be played.

Unfortunately, on the day, there were some technical issues that impacted the evening. Songs had to be skipped, stopped, and restarted several times, which resulted in a few tracks being played more than once and some we were really looking forward to not being played at all. This was due to the DJ’s iPad having trouble connecting via the hotel’s intermittent WiFi, and there was no backup device available.
Thankfully, our guests were amazing and kept the atmosphere going by singing along and dancing even when the music stopped, and we were very lucky that this didn’t happen during our first or last dance.
Despite this, we’re still happy overall and would recommend Simon and the team at Hampshire Event DJs. Technical issues can happen, even if only rarely, and they’re not always easy to prevent. We’d suggest reading through other reviews and deciding whether this would be a concern for you when booking, but aside from this, the planning process and communication were solid.

Simon was so professional. From the moment we spoke to him we knew he’d have our party how we’d want it! Fri. Start to finish the guests were dancing and we are so glad we went with the best! Thank you Simon. Highly recommend! Wish we could do it all again!

Dan was DJ for our wedding reception last weekend, and we couldn't have asked for more.

Dan and Simon were helpful through the planning process, and we loved the format of the app to choose the style of music we wanted. The music on the night was just what we wanted, and the dance floor was busy right through to the end of the night.

Simon, was amazing from the moment we booked with Hampshire Event DJs a year before our wedding. The communication we received from him was always personalised, professional and friendly. I truly feel a lot of care went into our playlist.
Simon 100% understood the vibe we wanted for our wedding and was able to deliver exactly that! We had a mixture of high school musical, Barry white and even Nicki manaj and it worked amazingly. The dance floor was busy all night.

Stuart was amazing! Very friendly, accommodating and our dance floor was never empty with an age range of 18-70, something for everyone! Would 100% recommend!

Hampshire event djs were amazing, you can choose your music by swiping left and right and they were so accommodating. We had a little postcard before our wedding just to say see you soon, a very cute gesture. Absolutely amazing

In the lead up to the day Simon was so responsive and so helpful. We loved the song selector tool and Simon put a medley together for our first dance which was great.

On the day Charlie was so kind and helpful. It was a warm day so not that many guests on the dance floor because it was just so nice outside, but this was nothing to do with Charlie’s evident skill - he was great!!

Dan was the man on the night and Simon was the one with whom we liaised for our wedding on 19th April 2025. Both of them were highly professional and accommodating/flexible. They worked seamlessly with our gorgeous singer, #victoriabasssings, filling in between her sets and then playing us out for the last couple of hours.

The dance floor was rocking and everyone was tired and happy at the end of the evening!

Firstly, the best party of my life and everyone who was there said how incredible the DJ was. Thank you so much Charlie! Not only was the music exactly what we were after, he was flexible with timings due to other vendors issues and was assertive with the venue as to what the contract said the final song time was!

Secondly, the communication from Simon prior and after was exceptional.

Finally, don't look anywhere else! These are the DJs for your wedding!

Hired Charlie for a wedding. He did an excellent job keeping the guests entertained, played music that fit the theme and was happy to take requests, including some more obscure ones that required a lot of searching. He did it all with a smile and was available whenever people needed to have a chat with him. Great job!
