Where do I even start…. Simon has been incredible from start to finish. His communication was outstanding and dealt with any questions or requests we had straight away. And the night of the wedding… another level! We wanted a party people wouldn’t forget and he delivered, no one left the dancefloor and it was banger after banger! We were all VERY sad when it had to end. 1000% would recommend using Simon and his team, absolutely fantastic and thank you so so much for giving us the night we’d imagined! We were so impressed with the whole process from start to finish. The online “Tinder-style” music selector made choosing our playlist so easy — we could simply swipe yes or no to songs, making it really straightforward to build a set of music that we knew we would love.
It was also really easy to add our guests’ requests, which helped make the music feel personal to everyone. We could choose our first and last dance songs and add little special requests online too, such as asking for our guests to join us on the dance floor after the first minute of our first dance.Hampshire Event DJs's reply:

Ash was absolutely amazing at our wedding! He fitted right in with the wedding party and really knew how to get everyone up and dancing. He played a great mix of songs, took requests, and made sure there was something for everyone to enjoy.
The app for choosing songs before the wedding was also brilliant. We could add songs whenever we thought of them, which meant we didn’t miss out on any of the songs we really wanted to hear.

What can I even say to sum up how perfect the music was for our wedding. Simon was incredible from start to finish, communicated with me about everything, I LOVE the tinder swipe to pick the music and took on board everything we said about what we wanted.
On the night Chris was spot on, he played exactly what we wanted, interacted with the guests so well and got really stuck in. We wanted party vibes and this was 100% what we got!
Thank you so much Simon & Chris, highly recommend and we will use you again for anything in the future! -

Our DJ on the night (Dan) was brilliant, played some great songs and was really lovely! I would recommend booking Hampshire Event DJ's but if you do - don't go mad with selecting too many 'must play' songs on the app - just put your real favourites that you would be upset if they were not played - and leave the DJ to have more creative control over what to play (as a few songs came on that we had selected that i kind of regretted as wasn't right for the vibe on the night which was my fault) Overall 5* service and lovely guyHampshire Event DJs's reply:

Emily Sent on 21/12/2025Hampshire Event DJ's for an October Wedding
We recently hired Simon and his team at Hampshire Event DJs for our wedding in October. They came highly recommended by our venue as a preferred supplier, so it was an easy choice after meeting and chatting with Simon at a wedding fair held there.
One of the things we were particularly interested in was Hampshire Event DJs’ playlist builder tool. We have overlapping music tastes but can both be quite fussy, so this was a huge plus for us. The tool is fantastic and really helped us build a clear idea of what we wanted to hear on the day. We even created a playlist on our own music apps based on what we’d selected, so we were both confident about which songs should (and shouldn’t) be played.
Unfortunately, on the day, there were some technical issues that impacted the evening. Songs had to be skipped, stopped, and restarted several times, which resulted in a few tracks being played more than once and some we were really looking forward to not being played at all. This was due to the DJ’s iPad having trouble connecting via the hotel’s intermittent WiFi, and there was no backup device available.
Thankfully, our guests were amazing and kept the atmosphere going by singing along and dancing even when the music stopped, and we were very lucky that this didn’t happen during our first or last dance.
Despite this, we’re still happy overall and would recommend Simon and the team at Hampshire Event DJs. Technical issues can happen, even if only rarely, and they’re not always easy to prevent. We’d suggest reading through other reviews and deciding whether this would be a concern for you when booking, but aside from this, the planning process and communication were solid.Hampshire Event DJs's reply:

Unfortunately your DJ Mark had performed a software update on his laptop and as is sometimes the case, the DJ software companies had not patched all the bugs which led to the tech issues.
This was a great reminder for everyone in the team to keep an up to date back up with them and properly test their DJ software after performing a software update.

Dan was DJ for our wedding reception last weekend, and we couldn't have asked for more.
Dan and Simon were helpful through the planning process, and we loved the format of the app to choose the style of music we wanted. The music on the night was just what we wanted, and the dance floor was busy right through to the end of the night.

Simon, was amazing from the moment we booked with Hampshire Event DJs a year before our wedding. The communication we received from him was always personalised, professional and friendly. I truly feel a lot of care went into our playlist.
Simon 100% understood the vibe we wanted for our wedding and was able to deliver exactly that! We had a mixture of high school musical, Barry white and even Nicki manaj and it worked amazingly. The dance floor was busy all night.
