The Birds & The Bees is a UK-trained Independent Wedding & Funeral celebrant with National & International experience. Based between Carlisle, Cumbria & County Durham I am more than happy to travel anywhere in the world to ‘Bee’ your celebrant.
Inspired by a genuine affinity for people, I am devoted to creating alternative, heartfelt ceremonies that reflect a couples unique love and journey.
My services are Ideal for those seeking a ceremony with a difference such as adventurous elopements on a fell or in a woodland, perhaps tipi or barn ceremonies, destination weddings, and all other events whether in the warmth of a luxury hotel or the comfort of your own back garden. No matter your background, culture, or beliefs, my goal is simply to give you the freedom to choose the right kind of celebration for you based on my many years of living abroad and experiencing love around the world.
Services Offered
The Birds & The Bees offers a very personalized service for wedding ceremonies and vow renewals predominantly across the North West, North East, Yorkshire / Lancashire and happy to travel all over UK and abroad.
With extensive experience working with clients and wedding planners across the UK & Dubai, UAE, I invite you to join me for a detailed consultation where you can share your thoughts, desires, and hopes.
From here, I will create and choreograph an entirely custom celebrant-led ceremony. You can opt to include symbolic elements such as sandblending, handfasting, or a candle ritual to name a few and of course, Family members and close friends are also welcome to participate in the event. (Couples must take care of their legal registration of marriage with a statutory registration at the register office ideally before your Celebrant led wedding ceremony although post ceremony is permitted, language will be written accordingly for ceremony)

Truly one of a kind ⭐️🐝
Kerrie is, quite simply, one of a kind. From the very first interaction, her caring and kind nature, combined with her gorgeous, bright personality, instantly warmed every room. She has such a special presence, and that alone makes her extraordinary.
Our ceremony was completely bespoke, deeply personal and utterly us - and that is entirely thanks to Kerrie. She treated our ceremony with such gentleness and love, thoughtfully incorporating the most delicate and meaningful details that meant so much to us. Knowing that she even wrote parts of our ceremony under the light of the moon beside a beautiful lake makes it even more magical and special to us. We had a beautiful hand-fasting ceremony, and Kerrie surprised us with a beautiful piece of rose quartz for us both to hold.
What made that moment even more powerful was something Kerrie couldn’t possibly have known at the time. One of our guests has a deep and personal connection to rose quartz through her late mother (my husband’s grandmother). Kerrie had placed the piece of rose quartz beneath a random chair at our ceremony, so a guest would find it and be able to be a part of our ceremony. She had unknownly placed the quartz under my husbands Aunties chair, and in that moment it felt like a sign that she was with us in pure energy during our ceremony. It was such a moving and unforgettable experience. It brought my husbands Aunt to tears.
Kerrie didn’t just officiate our wedding - she brightened it. Her warmth, care and calm guidance made the ceremony feel intimate, emotional and unforgettable. She understood us completely and captured our story in the most beautiful way.
Communication with Kerrie before, during and after our wedding was absolutely flawless. We always felt supported, listened to and truly cared for. We honestly could not recommend her highly enough.

The best decision you’ll make for your dream wedding!
When we first spoke to Kerrie, we knew we couldn’t be without her. She asked us questions in the initial call that we hadn’t even considered. So we knew we’d be in safe hands. Kerrie kept in touch for the entire lead up to the wedding and was always so positive and kind. Even with some more sensitive aspects, she dealt with them with the care and attention they needed.
Our guests couldn’t get over how unique our ceremony was, most saying they had never experience anything like it. Our ceremony was exactly what we wanted - full of laughter and lots of love; we recommend her without a second thought.

The PERFECT celebrant
We chose Kerrie to be our celebrant for our wedding on 03/07/25 at hidden river barn, and it’s the best decision we made. From the very moment we spoke to Kerrie for the first time we knew we’d made the right decision. The knowledge, kindness, professionalism and detail that she provided from the start to finish was exceptional. Kerrie always made sure to keep in contact with us, making sure we had all the information we needed. As for the day, Kerrie was brilliant in her support for myself and my wife, aswell as the bestman. She made sure we all knew our roles for the day. Kerrie produced an amazing ceremony along with a beautiful poem that including personal touches from our relationship that she’d managed to learn from getting to know us over the last 2 years. EVERY single guest said how wonderful she was after the wedding. We can’t recommend her enough. Thanks so much Kerrie for helping our day be perfect.

Kerrie is a gem!
Kerrie was our celebrant at our wedding recently and we couldn’t recommend her more! She is so incredibly friendly and really gets to know you and the people that play a role on your wedding day so that she fits right in comfortably! She takes her role very seriously but still has such a lightness about her. Kerrie’s openness, her joy, and her love shine through as soon as you meet her. She cares and it shows. We are so happy we chose her to marry us!
