Where do we start? Lou has been fabulous from the first moment we enquired all the way through to the big day! We found BTTF through general searching but after seeing Lou’s amazing work and initially enquiring, we then spotted a cake she’d done at one of our friends weddings we attended and that cemented for us we knew we’d be in good hands.

Lou took on board some initial ideas from us then closer to the day organised a meeting to hash out the finer details. She even organised this over zoom due to us having difficulty finding the time to meet in person. She really listened to what we wanted and made some great suggestions on how to pull it off.

Lou communicated fully up to the day where she delivered the cake to the venue for us so it was in position for when we arrived. We were amazed at the end result, with guests on the day not even considering that the cake was actually cake! Fantastic flavours, spectacular design and real caring, professional communication. Overall summary… she’s fab!!!

Lou was an absolutely wonderful bubbly delight to consult with, we could've talked to her about non-cake related topics all day. She took all of our picky exacting demands for a highly detailed specific design in her stride, and recommended modifications and extra touches that we hadn't thought of but immediately agreed with. Thoroughly professional but great fun through the whole process, and my word...the cake!

A finely sculpted and perfect piece of artwork, I've never seen cake decorating this precise and exact in my life. In engineering terms - literally every decoration was within a millimeter tolerance. This is baking perfection well and truly achieved. And the taste and textures, absolutely incredible. She can do so many flavours so well, and the amount of "oh my god that's good..." reactions when people had a mouthful was brilliantly entertaining in itself.

We got married in June 2023 and once finding Lou, the hole cake process was the easiest thing about the hole wedding experience she was really knowledgeable when discussing ideas of what could work for our day, theme and in the heat. Our cake was perfect matching our Biscuit themed wedding breakfast and tasted delicious people still tell us how yummy it was!

Lou at Bake to the Future made us the most beautiful cake for our wedding. We were only 50 guests in total and Lou suggested the size. We met Lou at Eastwell Manor for our tasting trial. We discussed with her flavours, colour and style as well as tasting 3 different flavour of cakes. On the day, Lou arrived about an hour or so before the guests arrived and delivered and assembled the cake beautifully. Would highly recommend Lou at Bake to the Future.

Lou was absolutely amazing! Everything to meeting her and trying her cake samples to seeing our finished wedding cake on the big day was absolutely fantastic. Lou was nothing short of phenomenal. She was quick to respond, gave great ideas, let you taste whatever you wanted to make sure it was right for you. Lou kept in contact throughout our order and worked not just with my wife and I, but also with our venue and when they wanted her there by and when the cake needed to be ready.

Thank you to Lou so much for creating the perfect wedding cake for us! We had seen a "LEGO reveal" style cake that Lou had created before and this was our inspiration, with some changes to fit what we called our "classy LEGO" theme. We wanted more pastel colours rather than the recognisable primary colours, ivory icing and for the design to be front facing rather than hidden. We met Lou for the cake tasting and consultation and had a great time talking to her about the idea - her passion for her work really shines through, and we were really impressed throughout. On the day we were both so excited to then see what she had created, which was absolutely amazing. All our guests loved the cake, it's definitely the most photographed wedding cake I've ever seen! And importantly the flavours are brilliant, it was so tasty and we've been enjoying it ever since. Lou gave us instructions on how it could freeze, which we made sure to sort out as soon as we got home, and now are very much enjoying our cake freezer drawer!

Lou not only did our wedding cake, but also my husband’s birthday cake (both of which were amazing). The whole process of dealing with Lou is so stress-free and informative. Literally, you tell her exactly what you want and she makes your ideas come to life, as well as having loads of recommendations / ideas of her own to share with you. We were over the moon with both of the cake she designed for us – our wedding cake got so many complements and the birthday cake (which was a pc, screen, mouse and keyboard) people actually tried to use, as the keyboard and mouse looked real!!! We could not recommend her enough and should we need any further cakes we will be back 😊

We met Lou on a rainy day at a small local wedding fayre and instantly clicked. I knew from the funny pun in the name of her company that we would be on the same wave length!
I had a crazy vision for my wedding cake and a crude sketch and Lou was genuinely excited to hear my ideas (something that not all suppliers are), she was realistic about cost with us and had clever ideas to create the look we wanted whilst staying in our budget. The final design was nothing short (pun intended as it was super tall) of a sculptural masterpiece! We had soo many compliments on how amazing it looked! It was literally EXACTLY what I pictured in my head and very few parts of a wedding end up exactly what you imagine, but this was it and better!
Ok now the important bit, did it taste as good as it looked?
I wanted my cake to look and taste amazing, as like many brides I had been dieting before the wedding and I wanted my cake to be my reward! And reward it was! We chose 4 different flavours which we obviously taste tested before (taste testing is the BEST part of planning a wedding) and went with Terry's chocolate orange, Chocoholic, Zesty Lemon and Classic Vanilla. All delicious and we had loads to take home with us and I was genuinely upset when we finally finished eating our cake!
From start to finish Lou was amazing and our favourite supplier to work with for our wedding, I can't wait for my husband to order us an anniversary cake from her!

We have had a Harry Potter inspired wedding, when we met bake to the future Lou at a wedding fair. She was very kind and eager to make our cake, and she did not disappoint. The cake was amazing and so moist to eat, all our guests loved the cake and even came to help clean up after the wedding just to get more cake. We highly recommend her service and the only down side is the cake was soon eaten up, thank you so much for your service and we will make sure to use you again.

My partner and I always knew that when we got married, we wanted a cake that was a little different. We’d seen a cake on a baking show that from the outside appeared to be a regular wedding cake but upon cutting into it, revealed a space scene, complete with cake ball planets.

We understood it would be a tough ask and we met some resistance when pitching the idea to bakers at the Detling Showground wedding fair. Slightly deflated and giving up hope, we spotted a stand showcasing a zombie Spider-Man cake and with the company name Bake to the Future (after my partners favourite movie).

We felt out of our element at the fair, but Lou and her partner were so lovely, they made us feel comfortable and like our idea was a fun challenge rather than a burden. When we told her the idea, she lit up and was so fast to show us a cake she’d made using similar techniques. The excitement for the concept, the company name and the out of the ordinary cake selection told us that this was the right choice for us, no question about it.

Lou was wonderful throughout the whole experience. She is clearly extremely knowledgeable and an incredible baker - that much became evident when we went for our cake tasting. We were so overwhelmed because we loved all three flavours she prepared for us (Terry’s chocolate orange, white chocolate and cherry bakewell). So when she told us that because it was a three tier cake, we could actually have a different flavour for each layer, we were over the moon.

Lou understood our concept and ran with it, meaning we didn’t have a lot more input which was fantastic for us as planning a wedding is very time consuming. The finished product was more than we could have ever hoped for. The cake was not only delicious but it looked amazing inside and out.

If you’re looking for something a little quirky and different but still want an element of traditional, Lou is most certainly who you should go to.

The taste samples arrived and were bigger than expected and tasted incredible for gluten free! The texture was also unrecognisable for gluten free (most cakes are dry, over sweet and fall apart/are rock solid), this cake was moist, perfect taste and left you wanting more! We were sad to finish the samples!

And we weren’t disappointed with our final wedding cake either!!

Lou is just like her cakes... AMAZING. From day one she made me and my Wife so relaxed and allowed us to have an amazing input on flavours, designs and customisation. I am a huge Batman fan and Lou helped us incorporate this in a very subtle but awesome way.

The cake flavours we had for our wedding cake were Vanilla, Bakewell and Salted Caramel.

Honestly all 3 tasted like slices of heaven!

I’d seen Lou’s cakes on social media for a few years before getting engaged, and was so amazed by her creations that I was prepared to move my wedding date/venue around when she was available! Aside from getting legally married, cake was the most important part of the day and Lou did not disappoint. Our wedding cake impressed all our guests visually and in terms of taste.
