If you ever need proof that bridal consultants deserve medals, therapy qualifications, and have the patience of a saint, visit Bijou Bridal! From the moment I walked in Emma was everything you could hope for in a bridal consultant. She was welcoming, thoughtful and patient. She encouraged me to try on everything that caught my eye, and introduced me to gowns I wouldn't have thought of - never doubt her professional eye!
Then The Dress happened
The second I stepped out, Emma knew with full confidence. Veil-on, accessories-added, that “this is YOUR dress” kind of knew. Meanwhile, I was spiralling into a full-blown bridal identity crisis... In true dramatic fashion, I ended up lying on the floor crying because I was terrified of making the wrong decision, and ultimately walked away without the dress.
I went to another bridal shop the very same day but after trying on a few dresses, I realised nothing compared to that dress. There I was standing there in a beautiful gown, but it wasn't mine. My mum immediately rang Bijou Bridal to say I was coming back for “The Dress”. DISASTER. The appointment immediately after mine had bought it. The very last one. No restocks. Gone.
At this point, most shops would have shrugged sympathetically and wished me luck, but not Bijou Bridal. Anna, the owner, went completely above and beyond, contacted the designer directly and somehow worked absolute magic, convincing them to send a brand new dress, never been tried or set eyes on on by another bride-to-be.
Fast forward a few months, I was back again, and there it was! Emma was just as wonderful as the first time we met, and this time there were no tears on the floor… only the best memories were made. Veil, accessories, the whole moment was absolutely perfect.
I am now officially Bijou Bridal’s cautionary tale with a happy ending: “If you love the dress, don’t leave the shop.” But genuinely, without Emma and Anna, I would never have ended up with my dream dress. I cannot thank the team enough for their kindness, patience, emotional support, miracle-working abilities, and for caring so deeply about making brides feel special!
If you’re considering visiting Bijou Bridal — do it. And if Emma tells you it’s the dress… trust her!

I had the most amazing experience at Bijou and honestly couldn’t recommend them enough.

Back in January, I visited with my mum and daughter and tried on some beautiful dresses, which really helped me narrow down what styles suited me. I fell in love with one and almost said yes, but as it was my first appointment, I wanted to explore a bit more. After visiting a few other shops, I just couldn’t stop thinking about that dress from Bijou.

After leaving another boutique feeling quite defeated (I could only try on one dress in the style, fabric, and size I wanted), I called Bijou on the off chance they had availability—and they got me back in that same day. I went back to try on the original dress, but the girls suggested I try another designer… and wow. I felt incredible. I instantly knew it was the one.

I FaceTimed my daughter (she’s at uni so couldn’t be there), and we were both in tears. I would have waited for her, but we’ve brought our wedding forward, so time isn’t on our side—and the team completely understood.

As a 46-year-old, plus size bride, I can honestly say I felt completely comfortable, supported, and confident throughout the whole experience, which meant so much to me.

The respect, care, and attention I received from the girls was so genuine and heartfelt, and I’m truly so grateful to you both for making such a special moment even more meaningful.

As a bridal hairstylist, I’m also in the industry, and I’ve had brides often say this studio offers a huge selection of beautiful, high-quality gowns in a range of styles and sizes—and that’s absolutely true. The private fitting rooms made the whole experience feel comfortable and relaxed, and the staff were so welcoming, patient, and knowledgeable. There was never any pressure, just honest guidance and support.

I would really like to commend the professionalism and excellent service I’ve had from Bijou. ♥️ I’ve been to quite a few and to be honest is quite overwhelmed on what I really want.
