So what do we do differently from every other wedding videographer out there?...
We create wedding films with personality. For White Villa, the best wedding films aren’t just about the big, obvious moments with epic music layered on top. Of course, the ceremony, confetti, speeches and first dance all matter — but just as much attention is given to everything happening in between.
The nervous laugh before walking down the aisle. A dad trying to hold it together. The completely unplanned comment from a friend that makes everyone lose it. The conversations, glances, terrible dance moves, little bits of chaos and moments the couple didn’t even realise were happening.
Those are often the moments that end up on the cutting-room floor. For White Villa, they’re the heart of the film.
White Villa Photography & Films is a wedding videographer based in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire. Backed by more than 23 years of experience capturing weddings and telling stories through film and photography.
The approach is relaxed, documentary-led and cinematic, with a huge focus on real audio from the day. Rather than simply placing beautiful images over music, each film weaves together vows, speeches, conversations, laughter and spontaneous snippets of sound to draw the viewer back into the people and personalities that surrounded the couple.
The aim is never to create a generic wedding film that could belong to anybody. Each film should feel unmistakably like that couple’s wedding — the people they love, the atmosphere they created and all the funny, emotional and wonderfully imperfect moments that made the day what it was.
On the wedding day itself, the approach is easy-going and unobtrusive. White Villa isn’t there to turn a wedding into a film set or constantly manufacture moments for the camera. Couples are encouraged to enjoy their day, spend time with their favourite people and almost forget they’re being filmed.
Because years later, the film shouldn’t just remind them what their wedding looked like.
It should remind them exactly what it felt like to be there.

Back in 2003, while I was knee-deep in learning film and video production at UCA university, I had a video camera (quite the rarity in those days) and naturally I got asked to shoot a wedding. That was the moment I put my Hollywood dreams on hold to become a professional wedding videographer. I saw a golden opportunity to revolutionize wedding videos, which, let’s be honest, had been pretty dull for years.
By blending my cinematic skills with the world of weddings, I started creating something truly special that resonated with couples and stood out from the rest.
Fast forward over 23 years, and I’ve become a bit of a wedding videography and photography guru. My passion is all about capturing your day in the most spectacular way possible, so you can relive those precious memories as if you were there all over again.
I grew up in the quaint town of Thornbury, South Gloucestershire, where small-town charm sparked my love for capturing everyday moments. And frankly it hasn’t stopped ever since!
I went on to pursue a Master’s in Astrophysics at Lancaster University. While the universe captivated me, my passion for photography blossomed, and I found myself constantly snapping shots of nature’s beauty.
Fast forward to my photography career: for over 15 years, I’ve been a wedding photographer, loving every moment of capturing couples’ happiest days. Each wedding is unique, brimming with emotions and traditions. My approach is to blend into the background, catching candid, genuine moments that tell a true story. Weddings keep me on my toes, and I thrive on their diversity, ensuring each shot is authentic and memorable.
