Mrs T. Sent on 15/04/2026A dream wedding come true - a magical venue and spectacular staff all round
From the moment we first stepped onto the grounds of Wotton House, we knew it was special. Though we explored other options, our hearts kept leading us back to those breathtaking gardens and the magical Old Library.
Vickey was our co-ordinator from day one and she really is such a wonderful person and a star throughout our wedding journey. She made such a huge difference to the experience; she explained everything and anything, answered millions of questions, and was always quick to respond. Wedding planning is hard work and she made everything so much easier, even giving us plenty of advice and suggestions when we struggled with ideas.
The planning process unfortunately did have a few hiccups, such as some unexpected costs which wasn't fully clear initially (our fault for assuming of course!), so we recommend double checking every detail at the start. Closer to the date, we were informed of another issue, but the team really went out of their way to listen and discuss everything with us. This was incredibly important, as it showed they genuinely cared about our feelings and were committed to making things right.
The day itself was the most organised I have ever experienced. All the staff on the day of the event did an incredible job and I will have them to thank forever. Vickey and Caroline checked in with me early on and managed my guests and suppliers so well, handling every question from everyone. Caroline was honestly wonderful. I brought in additional snacks for guests, and she had really helpful suggestions, going above and beyond to display everything beautifully and even offering to use their own food boards to help us.
Bill, our toastmaster, was truly spectacular. He is an absolute professional and brilliant at handling large crowds. Having him as part of the package is a massive perk and he was simply a dream. You really do not need to hire your own co-ordinator because Wotton House has it all.
Some more things to call out... one of the greatest things about Wotton House is that it is huge and has plenty of rooms for guests. On a rainy day, you will never have problems with lack of space, which we identified as an issue in other venues. We hired a small creche and used one of their spaces, which turned out perfect. The groom and groomsmen also prepped themselves and chilled in various relaxing areas. It is also super dog and child friendly. Dogs can join in the restaurant and the bedrooms, though unfortunately not in the wedding breakfast room. And also, the food is SO good (a big plus!!). Our guests could not stop complimenting how beautiful the venue is, and it really is.
The support did not end on the day either. The team helped pack everything away, including our flowers, which were moved into the breakfast room the next day for a beautiful surprise. The breakfast staff were so kind, bringing out our leftover cake and providing boxes for us to take it away in. I absolutely loved the little notes, the chocolates, and the prosecco left in our honeymoon suite. It made everything feel so special. This is something I will take with me for the rest of my life. My wedding was one of my best days ever, and Wotton House played a huge part in this. -

Wedding 14th March 2026
Our experience at Wotton House as our wedding venue in March 2026 was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we first visited the previous year to view the venue, we knew it was somewhere special, but on the day itself, it exceeded every expectation.
The hotel is a beautiful and historic building, and arriving up the long driveway gives you a real sense of just how special the setting is. The gardens are equally spectacular and added so much to the day. They are immaculately maintained, with a perfect balance of formal elegance and natural beauty. Although it was March, we were lucky to have warm, sunny weather, which meant we could hold our drinks reception outside. The Italian gardens and temple created a stunning setting for photos, with their terraces and sweeping views providing a truly picturesque backdrop.
The Old Library, where we held our ceremony, was truly breathtaking. It has an incredible sense of character and romance, with its historic charm and elegant atmosphere creating the perfect setting for such an important moment. Walking into the room as the bride felt magical, with the church-like vaulted ceiling, the columns adorned with fairy lights and large floral displays. So many of our guests commented on how stunning and unique it was. It provided a beautiful, intimate backdrop that made the ceremony feel even more meaningful.
The food throughout the day was excellent and incredibly generous. From the canapés during the drinks reception to the wedding breakfast and the evening buffet, everything was delicious and plentiful. The evening food in particular was a huge hit and was enthusiastically enjoyed, completely wolfed down by our guests!
What really set Wotton House apart for us as the bride and groom, however, was the professionalism and care shown by the entire hotel team. From the early planning stages right through to the wedding day, everything was handled with efficiency, warmth, and attention to detail. The staff were always approachable, organised, and genuinely invested in making sure everything ran smoothly, which it did, happily without a hitch.
On the day itself, their calm and confident presence meant we could relax and fully enjoy every moment without worrying about a thing. Jodie, our wedding coordinator, was extremely efficient, a joy to deal with, and very responsive throughout the planning process. Although she couldn’t be there on the day, Lauren, the Deputy General Manager, oversaw the wedding brilliantly, with Bill, the toastmaster, expertly shepherding everyone into place to ensure the day ran perfectly to schedule providing a real sense of ceremony.
The venue as a whole is simply fantastic. The grounds are picturesque, offering countless opportunities for memorable photos, and the overall setting feels both grand and welcoming. Everything flowed seamlessly from ceremony to reception, creating a perfect experience not just for us, but for all our guests as well, many of whom said it was the ideal place for us to get married.
We couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate our wedding. Wotton House gave us a day we will never forget, and we would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly beautiful and professionally run wedding venue.
Thank you Wotton House for one of the best day of our lives.

Me and my husband could not recommend Wotton House as a venue more. We got married in September and had not only the most perfect wedding day (totally perfect) but the perfect day before and after (with lots of our guests choosing to stay the night before and night of - which was a real bonus), making it feel like a wedding bubble all weekend 🤍 Everything ran so smoothly thanks to Hanna and Tracy, and we didn’t need to worry about a thing. The getting ready room was incredible - the perfect space for getting ready with your girls, the old library - is just wow it felt like something out of a fairytale - it still takes my breath away just seeing the photos and the grounds are absolutely stunning (and the perfect place for pics). The Evelyn Suite was the perfect space for our evening celebrations with a great dancefloor included which was filled all night! We also had a sparkler tunnel outside in the evening, which the team took care of fully which was perfect! Wotton House is the perfect venue, and we couldn’t have had a more magical day which we will cherish forever! -

We had the most magical wedding day last May at Wotton house, and it was everything I could’ve dreamt of and more. The venue is absolutely beautiful and the Old Library is like getting married in a little fairytale! The staff were so helpful throughout the process, and Jodie was such an understanding and helpful wedding planner. The food was incredible and so many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the food, service and the day in general. Thank you so much Wotton House, it’ll always be our special place!

The Most Perfect Day Thanks to the Amazing Team at Wotton House
We honestly couldn’t have chosen a more perfect venue for our wedding than Wotton House. From the very beginning, the wedding team were incredibly helpful, responsive, and supportive. Planning a wedding can feel overwhelming at times, but the team made the whole process smooth and stress-free by always being available to answer questions, offer guidance, and accommodate our ideas.
On the day itself, the team were truly second to none. Their professionalism, organisation, and attention to detail meant everything ran seamlessly from start to finish. It allowed us to completely relax and enjoy every moment of the day knowing we were in such capable hands.
One of the highlights for us was being able to have an Italian-themed menu for our wedding breakfast, which was absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and it meant so much to us that the team were so accommodating in helping us create something personal and special.
The grounds at Wotton House are simply breathtaking. The gardens and surrounding scenery are stunning and clearly so well cared for. It created the most magical backdrop for our photos and for our guests to enjoy throughout the day.
What really stood out to us was how dedicated the entire team were to making our day feel uniquely ours. They catered to every request and need with such care and enthusiasm - no ask ever felt too big or too small. Their commitment to making our day personal and memorable meant the world to us.
We are so grateful to everyone at Wotton House for helping create such a perfect wedding day. We will always look back on it with the happiest memories and couldn’t recommend this venue and its incredible team highly enough.

We had our Hindu ceremony followed by a reception on the same day at Wotton House, and it couldn’t have gone more smoothly.
We were hosting a large number of guests, and the team handled everything with real confidence and professionalism. From the start, they guided us clearly on managing the capacity and logistics, which made a real difference in our planning. Their experience showed at every stage.
Jodie was especially excellent in the lead-up to the event. She was organised, calm, and always responsive, which gave us real peace of mind. On the day itself, the team assisted with adapting the spaces between the ceremony and reception, ensuring everything flowed naturally without any stress for us.
Another thing we really appreciated was how transparent everything was. The package we chose clearly laid out all costs and expectations from the beginning. There were no hidden extras or last-minute surprises, which made budgeting and planning far easier.
Overall, we felt fully supported throughout and are very grateful to the entire team for delivering such a well-run and memorable day. -

Choose Wotton House!!
My husband and I got married at Wotton House on Friday, 9th May 2025 and the experience at Wotton House was incredible.
When we first viewed Wotton House, I gasped as I walked into the Old Library and my husband said that no other place would compare now. We agreed on a date and got the ball rolling. With only 5 months to plan everything, Vicky, our wedding coordinator was hands on and organised.
During the wedding breakfast tasting, they were flexible and willing to accommodate our main meal requests. They gave us a beautiful tour of the venue and allowed us to change our honeymoon suite stay to the night before (as we were staying near the airport the night of). They provided a filling breakfast and champagne to myself and bridesmaids the morning of the wedding.
The day was seamless - if anything went wrong I wouldn't have know (and still don't know to this day).
The staff were all super friendly and accommodating, and I can't imagine getting married anywhere else! -

Perfect day , perfect venue .
Wotton house is absolutely stunning , from the grounds , the building , and of course the totally magical old library .
Weddding coordinator Jodie was very approachable , and on hand to answer any queries however big or small , from beginning to end.
We had regular meetings and I always felt listened to .
I can honestly say the day went so smoothly and without any drama .
The staff set the room up perfectly and let my vision come to life .
Lots of guests stayed over , and the morning after breakfast was set up in a separate part of the restaurant , so allowing for us all to sit together .
The staff had thoughtfully placed flowers from the wedding on the tables ., which was a really nice touch .
You really do need to visit Wotton House to fully appreciate how beautiful it is .
I cannot recommend holding your wedding here enough , infact I want to do it all again !

Magical place (especially at Christmas!)
The venue is absolutely stunning. Our coordinator, Jodie, was exceptional—incredibly organised, endlessly helpful, and nothing was ever too much trouble. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas, which made the day feel even more special. We truly had the best day and would wholeheartedly recommend the venue. -

A Perfect Day!
As soon as we went down the driveway to Wotton House, we got such a good feeling – and after meeting with Jodie and being shown around, we left convinced this was the venue for us! Wotton House is absolutely stunning. It completely has the “Wow Factor”. The house itself is charming, the gardens are so beautiful and everyone there is always so friendly and helpful. When we made the decision to go with Wotton House as a venue, we were very excited about all of its possibilities.
In the lead up to the wedding, our wedding coordinator, Vicky, was always at the end of the phone to help us. The menu tasting with our parents alongside was a real highlight and such a great afternoon. We could make the wedding day very much as we wanted – we had freedom and advice along the way and there were so many options and flexibility to make the day feel special and very ‘us’.
The wedding day itself was absolutely perfect! We stayed separately the night before the wedding and enjoyed a buffet meal with the bridal party, which felt really relaxed. We were able to set some bits up in the reception room and were allocated space for all the wedding paraphernalia which made it really easy for us. A lot of guests also enjoyed a comfortable stay, and it was delightful to be able to mingle with our guests in the bar the night before – and set the tone for a joyful celebration the next day!
From being greeted in the morning to check all was ok, to carrying our card box back to our room at the end of the night, all of the staff were incredibly helpful to us all day. It felt like we had a team of people beside us, making sure it went without a hitch. We were waved off to the church and once we got back, were greeted with a drink. Tim, the Toastmaster, was wonderful and a real added bonus; he was fantastic at orchestrating the day – particularly in the numerous group photos! There were plentiful drinks at the reception, a brilliant atmosphere and little touches, like being served our own canapés to ensure we got them.
Onto the Reception, and the food was truly outstanding. Every course was delicious and what was great was that we were able to alter the meals EG by adding extra vegetables. Everyone had great things to say about it. The service was excellent throughout and couldn’t have been better. The evening buffet food (we went for the Greek option) was also fantastic and received many positive comments.
We went to the Old Library for the gap between reception and evening, and this is such a beautiful space. The size of Wotton House makes the day so interesting for the guests as there are many different areas. The gardens are gorgeous and meticulously cared for, which made for a stunning background for our photos, and a great spot for garden games! Similarly, everyone being able to stay at the venue ensured people stayed until the end and we could all have breakfast the next morning.
Wotton House will always hold such a special place in our heart. Thank you to all the staff for enabling us to have the best day of our lives. It was the perfect venue and we are so glad we chose it. We would not hesitate in recommending it to any future couples! -
