About
Tortworth Forest Centre and Arboretum is a woodland and festival wedding company based in Wotton-Under-Edge, Gloucestershire.
This unique venue is run by a non-profit community organisation. All income from weddings and private hire supports the ongoing restoration and care of the arboretum, as well as three weekly wellbeing groups for people experiencing poor mental health, social anxiety, or recovering from alcohol and substance abuse. Each celebration directly contributes to the long-term future of the woodland and the healing work it makes possible.
Each weekend celebration includes two nights of woodland camping, allowing guests to relax and connect in nature. For those who prefer more traditional accommodation, the nearby De Vere Tortworth Court Hotel is just a short walk away.
The venue offers a simple, nature-led experience. With no mains power or running water, facilities include compost toilets, fresh air, a handcrafted roundhouse with open fire and the freedom to create a truly unique celebration. Couples are welcome to bring in their own suppliers or can be introduced to trusted local caterers, celebrants and businesses specialising in stretch tents and outdoor structures.
Every weekend wedding includes a tree planting ceremony, with a tree planted in honour of the couple during the winter season. It is a meaningful gesture that marks the start of a new chapter and creates a lasting connection to the land.
The small team at Tortworth Forest Centre is on hand to offer support in planning a celebration that reflects each couples values and vision. Assistance is available throughout the booking, with a focus on creating space for connection, creativity and joy.
For those seeking a woodland wedding that is wild, welcoming and rooted in nature, Tortworth Forest Centre and Arboretum offers a truly unforgettable setting.
