Thank you so much to the Solent Hotel and their staff for organising and hosting our wedding. After being told by so many people that planning a wedding was one of the most stressful experiences they have been through, we can honestly say that thanks to the Solent Hotel, the whole process was a breeze from start to finish. Everything about the day was incredible and so many of our guests commented on how relaxed and friendly the atmosphere was throughout the day. The catering staff did an amazing job with the food and T'Anna, who ran the day for us, couldn't have been more helpful.
The ceremony was beautiful, we went for fairly minimal decoration in terms of flowers but the staff made the room look incredible never the less. After the ceremony the staff got to work in readying the room for the reception and we were all given time to enjoy the beautiful hotel and it's grounds. Plenty of photo opportunities. The reception in the was equally amazing, with the hotel working seamlessly with our suppliers to make sure that everything was set up in good time. Again, the food was incredible and there was plenty of it! The hotel's resident DJ, Steve had everyone up dancing and played every one of the songs requested.
A massive mention to our wedding planner, Rio, who helped us plan the whole thing in the year leading up to the big day. Neither my wife or I are particularly traditional or formal so we were a bit anxious that our fairly laid back attitude towards the wedding might be a shock to him but Rio offered amazing advice throughout and nothing was too much trouble. He always had a smile on his face and was quick to answer any questions we had. He is a massive credit to The Solent Hotel and we cannot praise him and thank him enough.
Thank you Rio and The Solent Hotel and Spa for making our special day all we had dreamt of! I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to anyone planning a wedding in the future.

We had a wonderful day celebrating with our family and friends.

We can't thank Rio and Adam enough for all your help with making our day so special. The venue was beautiful, the staff worked tirelessly and everything went smoothly. We couldn't be happier that we chose the Solent Hotel for our wedding and would happily do it all over again.

Not a week goes by without us recalling our wonderful wedding day. The preparation and attention to detail by Rio made the months leading up to our wedding very enjoyable. The final details meeting and being introduced to Caz made us both feel very comfortable knowing we were in safe hands.

On the wedding day we can’t thank Caz enough for an amazing day keeping us informed along the way. Everything felt amazing. The presentation of the evening function room set up was spectacular and we were so pleased. We'd like to thank Steve for also making the rest of the night a complete success for us. We loved the playlist and how everything worked so well with Jodie Vinall the singer. It certainly kept everyone on the dance floor.

Louise, our wedding Co ordinator was excellent throughout the whole process of booking our wedding. She was always so very helpful and kind. She answered all of my emails no matter how many questions I asked and wasn't pushy at all. A really lovely lady!

Imogen the host was amazing. She was there with me throughout every step of the way on my day. She was really supportive and made our day. She made our dreams come true and is absolutely fantastic at her job! I am so grateful to her and genuinely feel speechless when I think how hard on our day.

The food was 5*+ all my guests are still talking about how amazing the food was and how full up we all were. It was delicious. Best Eton mess I've ever had!

The Carisbrooke suite was beautiful the team worked so hard. I was so pleased.

My husband and I got married in The Carisbrooke room at The Solent Hotel and Spa in May. 18 months of planning and various emails to Louise, she was just absolutely fantastic, reassuring and patient with all of our requests at all times. All our needs and wishes were catered for. The venue looked stunning on the day, all the guests commented on all the fine details and how perfect everything was. Jake was also great, very calming and made sure everything went as planned. The food was out of this world, so many compliments received. We really couldn’t of asked for a better day, in a more perfect place, with people that made sure everything was as we wished. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Louise, Jake, and the Solent Hotel and Spa for making our dreams a reality!

The day was absolutely perfect, it couldn't have gone better, and I really wouldn't have changed anything - it really was perfect. Thank you to Louise & Josh, you’ve both been absolutely lovely! Josh was great in our first meeting and on the day - he really made us feel like everything was under control. He was also a great Master of Ceremonies and was very helpful on the day, but also made sure we didn't worry about anything. The day felt like it was about us 100% and all of the staff were absolutely lovely.
The presentation of the dining room was beautiful, and it was nice to see it laid out before the guests arrived. The food was absolutely delicious too, and the portion felt very generous.
The evening was great, the DJ was fun and the bacon rolls hit the spot for what we wanted. The cake was absolutely delicious and our room was very lovely!
Everyone was saying how perfect the day was, and I know it was because all of the small details in the background! Each time I spoke with a member of staff and they were more than happy to assist me!
All in all, the day was perfect from start to finish, in no small part down to Louise, Josh and the rest of the team that played a part in our day. Thank you so much for everything.

Thank you so much for everything Louise and Jake did on our special day. The room looked gorgeous, from the draping to the centre pieces, it was just like a fairy tale. I really loved all the talks we had with Louise, who was so lovely to us! I have loved planning this with her. Jake was great on the day, who was smiling from the beginning!

We had our wedding at the Solent Hotel yesterday and I can't express how wonderful our experience has been.

From the first time we met Georgia we knew she would be fantastic. Her friendliness, professionalism and helpfulness were a major factor in our decision to host our wedding at the Solent and we were completely vindicated in our decision. No request was ever too silly.

Natalie did an incredible job running the wedding on the day and in preparing us in the days leading up to the ceremony. Everything was taken care of, everything ran smoothly and that is due in a large way to Natalie's hard work.

We received many compliments on the venue and especially on the food. We had myriad dietary requirements but these were all taken in stride and met. Everything was absolutely delicious.

The 'Complete Package' we chose was good value for money and really simplified the process as so many different aspects of the wedding were accounted for. All the suppliers did a great job and the extra suppliers we brought in were managed professionally.

Thank you all so much for the incredible service provided, and for helping to make our day perfect.

From the day we met Georgia both Lisa and I knew it was you that would help create our dreams, you have been a rock throughout from dealing with my persistent emails too all the giggles and memories we now have, on the day were both so very proud you could be there for us both, and even just mucking in when needed, all of this said we could not have done it without you. The biggest heartfelt thanks to you.

On the day itself everything went according to plan We arrived and it was beginning to look a dream, beyond our eyes, this is down to the guidance and leadership skills required to run a Wedding showcase. Wow, it was truly stunning, it blew our minds at every turn, from walking out to a glass of champagne and a strawberry to the viewing before all the guests. It was just perfect, you're excellent at your job George Thank you for making it completely stress free, it was an honour to have you run our showcase.

Throught the meal and the evening reception we had guest after guest approach us to compliment the food, we heard, "it was the best wedding meal we've ever had" and "Wow the beef was stunning". Everything was just fantastic that came from the kitchen. You should all be proud.

We loved the waiters and waitresses on the day, the service went perfectly and we didn't see anyone with a glass of wine, beer or juice in there hands. Thank you all for your such hard work on our magical day.

Having less than a year to plan a wedding was a little bit daunting to say the least, but Georgia was on hand every step of the way to ensure the process ran smoothly. There was nothing she was unable to answer, and a confident “yes” was the answer to everything I requested. We left feeling valued and assured that the most important day of our lives was in the best hands possible.

This fabulous customer service continued throughout the process. Georgia and the team were at the end of the phone if there was anything at all we needed to know
Everything was totally faultless and I truly cannot think of one thing that wasn’t exactly as we wanted. Timings were spot on, food was delicious, and everybody had a great time on the dance floor. What more could you ask for?

I would honestly say that choosing The Solent Hotel and Spa is one of the best decisions we have have ever made. Georgia and the rest of the team there are some of the most professional yet friendly people I have ever met, and I would entrust any huge event to them in total confidence that it would be truly amazing.
I am yet to send a Thank you card to them, not because I’ve forgotten, but because no words can ever convey just how brilliant I think they are or how thankful we will be when we look back at the best day of our lives, and know it was their help and hard work that made it possible.
