We recently had our wedding at the Lion Inn at the start of January, and it was the most perfect day. We absolutely loved the venue from our first viewing; it had everything we wanted, and the space worked perfectly for our number of guests. The venue was especially beautiful for a winter wedding and felt warm, cosy, and atmospheric.
The entire team were incredibly helpful and ensured the day ran smoothly from start to finish. Ashton was our amazing wedding planner, and from our first meeting she put us completely at ease that the day would be a success. Any questions we had were always answered promptly, and we never had any concerns. On the day itself, we felt very looked after, with staff regularly checking in on us. Many of our guests have since commented on how helpful the staff were, as well as how amazing the food was.
It was also lovely to be able to stay in the hotel rooms, which are all beautifully finished, and breakfast the next morning was fantastic, the perfect way to end the celebrations.
We could not have asked for a better day and are so glad that we chose the Lion Inn for our wedding. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone currently planning their wedding. -

The best wedding
Myself and my husband got married at The Lion Inn in August 2024.
We had the best best best day and there is not a single thing we would have changed.
From the very beginning of planning, to the leaving there the morning after the wedding, everything ran so smoothly and couldn’t have asked for better!
All our guests commented how beautiful the day was and how amazing it was and that is down to all the staff (big shout out to Georgina) who lead a great day.
Will always recommend to anyone for a wedding venue! -

Couldn't have wished for a better team and venue!
We held our wedding at The Lion Inn, Boreham in 2021, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. From start to finish, the team were exceptional, and the day itself ran perfectly.
A special mention has to go to Georgina, who was absolutely fantastic throughout the entire process. She was incredibly patient and understanding, especially as we had to postpone twice due to the pandemic. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and her calm, friendly approach made the whole journey so much easier.
The Lion Inn went above and beyond to cater for our guests’ dietary requirements, and there were quite a few unusual allergies to navigate! The kitchen handled everything flawlessly, and we felt completely reassured knowing our guests were well looked after.
On the day, everything ran smoothly and right on time. The bar and waiting staff were polite, attentive, and extremely hardworking, contributing to the relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.
We originally chose The Lion Inn for its beautiful Art Deco style décor and the convenience of the onsite accommodation, and it certainly did not disappoint. The venue looked stunning, and our stay was comfortable and memorable.
We’re so grateful to the whole team for helping make our wedding day truly special. Highly recommended. -

This venue was 10/10 from the minute we saw it. Georgina was nothing but accommodating, friendly and efficient, replying to emails within a couple of days, setting up the venue as requested and organising a team to ensure flawless service throughout the day. It was spectacular and the experience I could not fault! The space is perfect for 100 people, the food was exceptional and the hotel beautiful, highly recommend as a venue! -

We had the absolute pleasure of celebrating our wedding at The Lion Inn, and it truly exceeded every expectation. From start to finish, the day was nothing short of perfect. The venue itself is a hidden gem—stylish, welcoming, and beautifully designed with a wonderful mix of charm and contemporary elegance.
Our ceremony was absolutely stunning, set in a gorgeous space that felt intimate and special. It was everything we had hoped for, and more. Afterward, our guests gathered in the lovely courtyard for drinks, which provided the ideal setting to relax and mingle under the sunshine before the reception. The transition between each part of the day was seamless, and the entire celebration was perfectly executed.
The food and drinks were incredible, the atmosphere was lively and full of joy, and everything ran so smoothly thanks to the amazing team. A very special thank you goes to Georgina, who was truly outstanding throughout the entire process. From the planning stages to the big day itself, she was calm, professional, and incredibly thoughtful—always one step ahead and never flustered. Nothing was ever too much to ask, and she made us feel completely at ease, allowing us to fully enjoy every moment.
Many of our guests stayed overnight, and they couldn’t stop complimenting the beautiful guest rooms, which are modern, spacious, and impeccably clean—ideal for a restful stay after a day of celebrating. Having everything onsite made it so easy and enjoyable for everyone.
We can’t recommend The Lion Inn highly enough. It’s not only a stunning venue, but it’s also backed by a team who genuinely care about making your day unforgettable. We feel so lucky to have found it and will treasure the memories forever -

I cannot put in to words how amazing our wedding at the lion house was. The staff from start to finish were exceptional and made it so we didn’t have to worry about a thing the entire day. We really felt that our vision for the day was everything and more and that is thanks to the amazing people at the Lion house. We had a small wedding but still felt just as valued. Kailey and the team were so amazing!! We cannot thank you enough! -

My husband and I got married at The Lion Inn in October 2022.
When looking for a venue I was struggling to find somewhere that met all of our criteria that wasn’t unreasonably expensive! We visited other venues and felt so let down by our experiences.
I accidentally stumbled across this venue and from the second we got in contact, the professionalism and support offered was incredible. The separate Lion House Venue where our wedding was performed was just stunning and the private outdoor area for guests and art deco bar were just the most beautiful touches.
This venue and the amazing staff who work there were flexible, accommodating and really did everything they could to make our day so perfect. We loved EVERY SECOND!!!! -

We had the best day ever at The Lion. From the moment we stepped foot in the venue Megan was so warm and friendly and seemed like she genuinely cared and wanted the best for us. The prices are reasonable compared to lots of other venues around and they were very willing to cater to our requirements (we wanted a vegetarian wedding and had lots of vegan guests attending too) - everyone commented how amazing the food was. Kaleigh was our wedding coordinator and she was so professional and organised, she made sure everything ran smoothly and we are so grateful to her. The accommodation is just gorgeous and we were treated like royalty by all the staff which just made the whole weekend feel so special. Special shout out to Jo who was so friendly and attentive, she took care of our grandmothers making sure they were comfortable and had a chair at all times, she checked in our vegan guests, she seemed to know what I wanted before I even asked and made us all feel so special. I wish we could do the whole day again! Everything about this venue is incredible - and especially the staff and the food are absolutely exceptional. -
