Where can I start?
We got married here 2 weeks ago today & honestly we haven’t got anything but amazing things to say. Our wedding coordinator Ashton was an absolute dream to work with, she knew exactly what we wanted & made sure that was what happened throughout the whole of our wedding journey. Every detail, every conversation, every request she fulfilled exactly how we wanted. The whole day from start to finish was more than we could ever imagined and the venue looked absolutely stunning. All of the staff were helpful and friendly, making sure we were well looked after during the day/night. The rooms were stunning & all cleaned to the highest standard.
Anyone looking for somewhere special for their wedding that isn’t you typical ‘barn’ the please look here, you’ll find this to be your perfect venue with the most amazing team to support you the whole way!

We have just got back from Honeymoon and haven't stopped talking about our wedding!!
I am not sure I can put into words how wonderful the day was!! It was perfect from the moment I arrived with my bridal party on the Friday evening to the moment we left after breakfast on the Sunday!!
The staff were incredible and although I don't have all the names, I wanted to thank Georgina and Jo as they made us feel so special!! The effort and attention to detail was outstanding.
All our guests have said how delicious the food was and were also overwhelmed by the level of service and said how nothing was too much trouble.
Even the small things didn't go unnoticed as they made sure we both drank plenty of water, took our cards and gifts to our room, told me when the band arrived as I was stressing in case they didn't turn up!! Even ensuring we had a slice of our wedding cake in the room to enjoy at the end of the day!
I know Georgina has left and gone on to pastures new but I hope her replacement can continue to give bride & grooms the experience we had!!
All of our suppliers were amazing too and just worked so hard to give us the most beautiful day!!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!! We wish we could do it all again!! -

My husband and I recently had our wedding at The Lion and the one word i would use to sum this venue up is WOW!
Ashton our coordinator was amazing through the whole planning process, was at the end of phone/email and during our planning meetings no detail was too little or much for her to arrange for us and she and her team brought our wedding day vision to life.
The whole day was stress free and just a pure celebration that we wanted. Ashton was on hand for both myself and my husband, but also our wedding party and close family to ensure our VIP's where also taken care of.
The Lion has a reputation for its food in the restaurant and this is the same for all there events, all our guest have given us nothing but compliment's on all the food from the canapes, wedding breakfast to our evening food. The location is great as well, and the venue lay out, and bar area is very large allowing plenty of room for drinks reception if not in there beautiful garden area. The on site hotel makes it perfect for your guests to spend the day and celebrate the following morning as your first full day as a married couple.
I would 100% recommend this venue for anyone wishing to have celebrate there wedding or special occasion

Well what can I say about the Lion House. It's a fantastic venue to have a wedding in. From start to finish, they were excellent. Our wedding planner, Ashton was amazing. From the planning to the big day, we felt she was with us on our journey, every little detail was catered for. The food was out of this world, highly recommend the off the grill option. Highly recommend -

We recently had our wedding at the Lion Inn at the start of January, and it was the most perfect day. We absolutely loved the venue from our first viewing; it had everything we wanted, and the space worked perfectly for our number of guests. The venue was especially beautiful for a winter wedding and felt warm, cosy, and atmospheric.
The entire team were incredibly helpful and ensured the day ran smoothly from start to finish. Ashton was our amazing wedding planner, and from our first meeting she put us completely at ease that the day would be a success. Any questions we had were always answered promptly, and we never had any concerns. On the day itself, we felt very looked after, with staff regularly checking in on us. Many of our guests have since commented on how helpful the staff were, as well as how amazing the food was.
It was also lovely to be able to stay in the hotel rooms, which are all beautifully finished, and breakfast the next morning was fantastic, the perfect way to end the celebrations.
We could not have asked for a better day and are so glad that we chose the Lion Inn for our wedding. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone currently planning their wedding. -

The best wedding
Myself and my husband got married at The Lion Inn in August 2024.
We had the best best best day and there is not a single thing we would have changed.
From the very beginning of planning, to the leaving there the morning after the wedding, everything ran so smoothly and couldn’t have asked for better!
All our guests commented how beautiful the day was and how amazing it was and that is down to all the staff (big shout out to Georgina) who lead a great day.
Will always recommend to anyone for a wedding venue! -

Couldn't have wished for a better team and venue!
We held our wedding at The Lion Inn, Boreham in 2021, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. From start to finish, the team were exceptional, and the day itself ran perfectly.
A special mention has to go to Georgina, who was absolutely fantastic throughout the entire process. She was incredibly patient and understanding, especially as we had to postpone twice due to the pandemic. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and her calm, friendly approach made the whole journey so much easier.
The Lion Inn went above and beyond to cater for our guests’ dietary requirements, and there were quite a few unusual allergies to navigate! The kitchen handled everything flawlessly, and we felt completely reassured knowing our guests were well looked after.
On the day, everything ran smoothly and right on time. The bar and waiting staff were polite, attentive, and extremely hardworking, contributing to the relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.
We originally chose The Lion Inn for its beautiful Art Deco style décor and the convenience of the onsite accommodation, and it certainly did not disappoint. The venue looked stunning, and our stay was comfortable and memorable.
We’re so grateful to the whole team for helping make our wedding day truly special. Highly recommended. -

This venue was 10/10 from the minute we saw it. Georgina was nothing but accommodating, friendly and efficient, replying to emails within a couple of days, setting up the venue as requested and organising a team to ensure flawless service throughout the day. It was spectacular and the experience I could not fault! The space is perfect for 100 people, the food was exceptional and the hotel beautiful, highly recommend as a venue! -
