The Glade is a bespoke woodland venue available to hire for events of all shapes and sizes. Whether you're planning an intimate gathering or a larger celebration, we'll work with you every step of the way to create something truly magical — right here in the woods.

We've had the pleasure of hosting a wide variety of events, including children's parties, handfasting ceremonies, corporate away days, naming ceremonies, birthday parties, and memorial services. Weddings & Special Ceremonies

Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, and we believe it deserves to be every bit as special as you've imagined. At The Glade, we don't offer a wedding package off a shelf,— we'd rather have a conversation. Your day is too important for a generic booking form and a confirmation email, and we think you deserve better than that. Instead we offer a fully bespoke wedding package tailored entirely around you.

As a hire venue, what we offer is the space, the setting, and the time to make sure we fully understand what you're looking for. We'll work with you to ensure the venue works for your vision, and point you in the right direction for anything else you might need.

There's often so much riding on this day that we want to make sure we get the details right from the start — and that only happens by actually talking to the people involved. So rather than booking online, drop us an email and let's have a proper chat about your day.

The Site -

The Nest

Within the Glade is an all-weather, indoor structure made from local timber and renewable materials designed by our friends at the Workshop Collaborative.

It’s 7m in diameter and can fit around 40-50 people seated, or 8-10 on yoga mats. The central woodburner ensures this cosy nook is toasty all year round, and the skylight means that you can still look up at the tree canopy, while sheltering from the elements.

The stage area

This space can be whatever you want it to be! The stage has hosted numerous hand fasting ceremonies, theatre productions, music performances and more. With moveable bench seating for around 120 people, it’s a great space for both intimate and bigger events alike. You can even shift all of the benches out of the way to create a great big dance floor.

The star tent provides shelter from rain and shade from the sun. However this is removable for a fee with enough notice, should you wish to have a fully open space.

Woodland bar and tree table

Whether you’d like to hire us to run a bar or provide a hot drinks package for you, or you’re doing your own thing, the woodland bar is the perfect place to serve drinks and nibbles from. Plus, the tree table is a beautiful spot to gather with friends or colleagues, or to host a workshop from.

Fire circle

Why not cosy up around a crackling fire, playing some music or tuning in to the sounds of the woodland around you?

There are wooden stumps and tree benches to sit on, a platform for two wheelchairs, and a parachute covering to keep the rain away.

Compost loos & urinals

We have three compost loos (including one accessible one), plus two urinals, at the edge of the site.
