The Ferry House is where your ‘happily ever after’ begins. You’ll find our beautiful 16th century venue tucked away in an idyllic ‘secret’ spot overlooking the Thames Estuary. Just an hour from London (with ample 4* accommodation), in the proverbial ‘Garden of England’, we sit pretty among beautiful rolling farmland, bird and nature reserves and our own lovingly landscaped wedding garden, with panoramic views across the water.
Whether you’re looking for a bespoke wedding with everything on the wish list, or a perfect package with all you need for an extra-special occasion, you’ll be head over heels with our inhouse team of dedicated Wedding Coordinators. Friendly and ultra-organised, they take a personable and professional approach to planning and coordinating your big day, proving that actually, the course of true love does run smooth at The Ferry House.
Make the backdrop to your big day your own. Your ceremony can seat up to 200 guests; choose between our beautiful Oak Barn with high-gabled roof and statement beams decked with hanging hops and twinkling fairy lights, or our outdoor Oak Gazebo – the perfect vantage point for views across the estuary. Your reception is an equally elegant affair, with our Oak Barn seating up to 70, or our classic ‘white-wedding’ Event Suite seating up to 200 and 300 for the evening party.
Your dining options at The Ferry House are truly the icing on the wedding cake. Our extensive and varied menus are a showcase of quality local produce, with lamb and beef coming from our own family-farm, our free-range game birds home-reared on our local estate and fresh produce cultivated in our large kitchen garden. Whipped into mouthwatering culinary creations by our award-winning team of chefs, we have an AA Rosette to our name, as well as being two times winners of the ‘Taste of Kent Awards.'
To end the day in style and comfort we have eleven 4* guest rooms onsite, including our Bridal Suite with a super-king sleigh bed, spa bath, lounge area and views across the wedding patios, gardens and estuary. Wake up to an award-winning local breakfast and reminisce on the day before. Just five minutes’ walk from The Ferry House we also have the charming Mocketts Farm Cottages complex. These five 4* self-catering properties are available to book for 54+ guests – the perfect ‘next-stop’ for family and friends to stay, or to make a weekend of things!
Here at the Ferry House we have all you need to make your wedding everything you want it to be, from our luxurious ‘Powder Room’ to numerous add-ons… Our family-owned vintage tractor certainly makes a statement of your arrival in true country style, while dancefloor upgrades and our own fire-pit (complete with toasted marshmallows) make for an evening to remember!
